Nev felt miserable as he looked at Ellie. "Baby Doll?" he said hesitantly. He shifted his weight from foot to foot for several seconds. "I'm sorry..." he muttered.
He looked anywhere but at her for several seconds before remember the bag in his paw. "Oh...Ummm..." he quickly reached in and pulled out a large manila envelope. "This is for you too...but we'll talk about it in a few minutes....but This this is all for you." he said awkwardly shoving the bag at her. "Why...why don't you go try it on?" he said feeling completely stupid. "I'm pretty sure its all in your size...lady at the shop helped me...and...and I'd really like to see you in one of the outfits." he said feeling himself turn red.
He offered the bag to her again looked anywhere but at her feeling utterly foolish.

Ellie's ears flicked quickly at the sound of his voice, her reaction to glance up quickly before ducking her head again, out of shame. Why did she have to make it more difficult for him. Slowly, her eyes came up to look at him without shying away. She trembled lightly as she advanced towards him, hesitating for just a moment before taking the bag...and immediately setting it down.
She reached for his extended paw and gently nuzzled it before looking up shyly, tail flicking from side to side behind her.
There was trepidation at his gifts - outfits, apparently - but it was overshadowed by the need to smooth things over. Stretching a paw up, she laid it lightly against his cheek. "Th-Thank you...Lee..."
Ducking her head, she grabbed up the bag and - after hesitating with wide eyes - bolted for his room. Closing the door behind herself, she took a moment to calm herself before peeking into the bag. The items she pulled out were pretty, and the undergarments made her giggle. Neve would have been permanently red all afternoon.
She gently touched the fabric of the pretty little sun dress carefully, glancing at the white fabric of his shirt that lay upon the floor from when she'd disappeared into her AI card from earlier. She longed to put it back on, feeling she might have been too distraught to properly put on the shots and camisole he'd purchased for her as well... With a sigh that was somewhat resigned, she picked up the little lavender dress and slipped it on, flicking her tail experimentally at the feel of the hugging fabric, rather than the loose and draping sorts she'd been wearing since last night.
Gently putting her other two pieces back into teh bag, she slowly stepped out the door, fiddling with the chopstick on her collar, body shivering lightly as she became nervous.

Nev sat on the couch and had the contents of the envelop spread across its surface. His ear quirked as he heard the door open and he slowly came around the couch to look at the little female standing in his door. What he saw made his breath hitch and his pulse sing in his ears.
"Oh, Ellie..." he walked towards her eyes wide. "You...you look....wow..." he said his blue eyes lighting up as he stared at her. "Amazing..." he slowly crossed the rest of the distance to her and put his paws on either side of her and gently caressed her arms. "You look astonishing..." he said breathlessly. "I've never...in all my life....seen anyone as lovely as you..." he said unable to make full sentences.
He carefully gathered her up into his arms and held her tight, gently caressing her, enjoying the feel of the fabric against his paws. He then leaned down, found her mouth, and kissed her passionately. He slowly pulled away and brushed a loose strand of hair away from her face. "Understand?" he asked hoping that he wouldn't have to fumble through anymore sentences to convey what he thought of her appearance.

Ellie scuffed her paw lightly against the floor, barely managing to look up at Neve until he was standing in front of her. Pleased, embarrassed, and nervous still, she shivered, tail flicking in quick, jerky motions from side to side until he scooped her up. Nestling into the safety of his arms, the tremours dimmed, only to spike for a moment as his lips found hers in a deep kiss. Ever-hesitant and nervous, she returned it as best she could before nodding mutely to his question.
"Y-Y-Ye-Yes..." She squeaked softly, ducking her head immediately once again, muttering louder as her face was pressed against him: "Than-nk you, L-Lee..."

Nev cuddled the tiny figure to him and stroked her back. "You are most welcome, Baby Doll." he said quietly. He nuzzled the top of her head and sighed a bit. "I'm sorry about today, Sweetheart." he said. "Please, forgive me for being paranoid." he said.
He gently lifted her face and gave her a half smile. "Now, come see what I have for you." he said leading her around the couch so she could see what was on the table.
Across its surface were identification cards, a passport, and some other papers. "This is what I went and got for you today." he said. "I have a guy up town...great forger...you can't tell his stuff from the real stuff...did all mine when I moved in here." he picked up her identification card and handed it to her. "And these are yours." he said letting her look at it. "I hope you don't mind the name...but its all I could think of in such short time." he said slightly embarrassed.
Across the name section read Elaine Roberts.

Ellie tucked her head against Neve's shoulder, nuzzling into the crook of his neck. She sighed as he continued his apologies and squeezed him tighter in response. Only when he lifted her head did she open her eyes and allow herself to be lead to the couch. She eyed the papers uncertainly for a moment before realizing just what they were. She looked up, eyes bright...knowing, yet hopefully curious despite that.
Elaine Roberts.
...she had to wonder what the name on his passport was...
Still, she smiled one of her rare, wide smiles and curled against his side, paws wrapping around him to squeeze tightly.
"...thank you, Lee..."

Nev smiled back at her and held her tightly to him. "You're welcome, Baby Doll." he said quietly. "I told you I would protect you...and this is the best way I could think off...By giving you a past..." he nuzzled her and then chuckled. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet and flipped through it until he found his own identification card.
"Only fair." he said handing it to her. "And I'd prefer if we're ever out anywhere besides the shop with the other Freelancers or here that you use this name." he said. "Liam Rhodes does not want to go back...and Nicholas Parker wouldn't know what a Freelancer was if it bit him." he said smiling a bit as she took the card. He has almost considered making her new identities last name his, but had decided against it at the last minute. He didn't want her thinking that he was taking her wants and needs for granted.
And besides this way he'd decided...if she ever did...well want to stay with him like that...they could always get married now, and no one would ever know what Ellie really was.

Ellie nodded, leaning against Neve for support before blinking and gingerly taking his ID into her paws, quirking her head to the side. She looked it over, committing his 'name' to memory. Finally, she handed it back and blinked up at him, something immediately dawning on her.
"...I can't call you Lee, then, when we're around others..?" Ellie frowned, blinking rapidly. Of course, mentally, she knew. She had been 'dead' when he came here. There was no need for him to come up with a name based on what she normally called him, and she was Elaine so her nickname from him wouldn't look conspicuous when they were out.
That was about the only thing that troubled her. Mentally, she wondered about her last name, not coming to the conclusion Neve had, but accepting of it nonetheless

Nev took back the ID and put it in his wallet and shoved it back in his pocket. He hugged her sensing that she was a bit upset and then sat down on the couch with her.
"You can call me Lee when we're here or with the others...but...yeah that's about the only times it will be safe for that." he said. He sighed and ran a paw through is hair and stifled a yawn. "Sorry..." he muttered. "Between last night and running around for a few hours today, all the stress has worn me out." he pulled her close trailing a paw down her side enjoying the feel of her being next to him and the smooth cloth of her dress against his paw.
He looked over at her and smiled reaching up to caress her face. "You really are something else, Baby Doll." he said.

Ellie's ears twitched as Neve yawned, and she put her unease at not being able to call him as she liked out of her head. She looked up at him, frowning slightly, but curled her tail around him.
"You should sleep, Lee..." She murmured, but made no protest as she was drawn against his side. With a sigh, she relaxed against him, eyes half-closed as contentment started to make her feel at-ease. She wasn't alone anymore. She blinked, in slight confusion, before his words registered and she lowered her gaze, shuffling her forepaws lightly.
'...maybe...maybe...I could...ask Bastian if he could...for Neve...' She thought, closing her eyes. '...and, emotions. What am I supposed to feel? Is what I'm feeling love, as Lee loves me...or is it different..?'
'Am I...even worthy..?'
She shook her head to clear her thoughts, not wanting to dwell on them right now. Looking up at Neve once more, she nudged him gently, eyes innocent of any double-meaning, yet her innocent words could definitely be taken that way, at first... "Lee...I'll lay with you...and you can sleep~"

Nev nodded. "That sounds nice. Just for a few hours though...I don't want to sleep all afternoon otherwise I'll never sleep tonight." he said. He slowly pulled himself off the couch and then turned and helped her down as well before pulling her back to him and walking with her to his room.
Once there he crawled up on the bed and flopped down on it. He then turned and waited for Ellie to come up next to him before wrapping an arm around her and nuzzling her. "Just a few hours...." he trailed off, and within the next 10 minutes he was asleep.

Ellie nodded and after the short trip to his room, scrambled up onto the bed with a little bit of difficulty. She curled close to him and sighed softly, letting him drift to sleep and settle there. Trying not to tremble too much, she slowly wriggled her way out of Neve's arms, only once she was off the bed did she allow herself to quiver.
'He'll be okay, you'll be okay. You're just running to the shop and back...he'll be asleep...you can get help...it's fine. It's fine...' Over and over she repeated that, giving herself her reasons for doing this, as well. She needed help; she had no clue what she was feeling, or how she was supposed to feel if she was going to love Neve back the way he loved her. It troubled her greatly...so she had to go to Bastian. On the side...there was some small matters she had to take care of...some things that could only make her seem more real if she could do them...and Bastian....well, he had saved her... And she knew that the damage she had done to herself had been pretty severe. He was good. Extremely good. Brilliant.
He could help.

Silent and wraith-like, she creeped back into Neve's room, ears cocked and swivelling to make sure he was still asleep. She breathed a slight sigh of relief as she clambered back onto the bed and carefully wedged herself into Nevada's arms once more.
She hadn't been entirely successful; Bastian hadn't really been able to help with the emotions thing...and Delta ended up getting distracted with York when she had asked him... She sighed, squeezing her eyes shut. She knew what would make Neve deliriously happy...but wasn't sure if what she felt was the right thing, and she didn't want to deceive him.
Still, she curled closer to his warmth, intent on letting him get another half-hour's worth of rest before gently waking him.
The clock ticked.
Time passed.
"L-Lee..?" She murmured, nosing and nudging him gently. "Lee...time to wake up."

Nev slowly woke up to Ellie's nudging. His ears flicked back and forth as he slowly opened his eyes. "Ellie?" he asked and looked up at her owlishly. He rolled on to his side and yawned. "Time is it?" he asked stretching.
He stopped and looked up at Ellie with a faint smile. It had been so long since he'd had someone to talk to...someone who understood what he'd been through, who knew him. What was even better was not having to lie. He'd always found to be the hardest thing to adjust to in his new life. The inability to tell anyone the truth...because telling the truth was a sure fire ticket straight back to hell.
Nev sighed and shook himself to disperse the thoughts that were swimming around his head. He didn't want to break down again, all he did when that happened was hurt himself. And now it wouldn't hurt only him...it would hurt Ellie too...

"Three fourty-eight, Lee..." She murmured. "Let you sleep for two hours..."
She blinked up at him, innocently, wondering what he was thinking. It was odd for her, after being in his head for so long, to not know. It made her feel somewhat alone. Still, when he wouldn't stop watching her, she fidgeted and shuffled her paws, a barely discernible blush creeping onto her cheeks. She curled closer against him, pressing an ear against his chest to hear the steady beat of his heart.

Nev nodded and thought some more before something hit him. He slowly reached down and raised Ellie's face up. "Did...you...just...blush?" he asked in shock. He wasn't at all sure he'd really seen it but once he'd thought about it was nearly sure that he'd seen her cheeks redden.
He waited for her answer and couldn't help but think that if that was the case how much more character it gave her face...how much prettier it made her. It didn't bother him at all that this was a computer program that had figured this out or had to be taught how. It was Ellie and she was already real to him. More so than a lot of people he knew. He smiled a bit at her and caressed her face as he waited.
