I'll post later this odd family recipie i have from my swedish grandmother. They are like crepes but some of the ingredients and the preparation is different. I love them. My family calls them swedish pancakes but i have no clue if thats realy the name or if they are just an odd type of crepe.

Chinese fried noodles

INGREDIENTS:
2 (3 ounce) packages Oriental flavored ramen noodles
3 eggs, beaten
vegetable oil
4 green onions, thinly sliced
1 small carrot, peeled and grated
1/2 cup green peas
1/4 cup red bell pepper, minced
2 tablespoons sesame oil
soy sauce

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
Boil ramen noodles for 3 minutes, or until softened, without flavor packets. Reserve flavor packets. Drain noodles, and set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a small skillet. Scramble eggs in a bowl. Cook and stir in hot oil until firm. Set aside.
In a separate skillet, heat 1 teaspoon of oil over medium heat. Cook and stir green onions in oil for 2 to 3 minutes, or until softened. Transfer to a separate dish, and set aside. Heat another teaspoon of cooking oil in the same skillet. Cook and stir the the carrots, peas, and bell peppers separately in the same manner, setting each aside when done.
Combine 2 tablespoons sesame oil with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a separate skillet or wok. Fry noodles in oil for 3 to 5 minutes over medium heat, turning regularly. Sprinkle soy sauce, sesame oil, and desired amount of reserved ramen seasoning packets over noodles, and toss to coat. Add vegetables, and continue cooking, turning frequently, for another 5 minutes.

OH. MY. GOD.

I just had such an awesome idea domokun

My birthday is in less than a month, and the last few years when people have asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I've always asked for money. I never say how much, I just say money. Why? Because when I ask for specific things, nobody gets me what I want anyway, so I ask for money, and that way, I can actually get myself what I want. >_>

ANYWAY. Lately I've been thinking, I really ought to learn to cook. But I was planning to get French books with my birthday money this year. So, I had the idea... I can buy a cook book in French! 4laugh That way I can learn to cook in French! biggrin

Our family just improvises when making crepes. ^^ Who here improvises when cooking or goes by the recipe? Or does it depend?

Lol, well would you rather I dislike your beloved French food, Maya? lol
I've never had much French FOOD, except French onion soup (which rocks my tastebuds! blaugh ) and other dishes my dad makes sometimes.
But French deserts are DAMN good. Crepes are excelent, I haven't had them that recently, but I do remember I had a great experience with those. whee And also any kind of French pastry is good too.

Thank you. Your avi looks sweet with the whip of ice!
