Oni stopped grinning and laughing.
Instantly.
He turned his head to the girl who was walking away. His wings appeared out of his jacket, and he beat them once, rising high up, then again, soaring over top of her, and landing straight in front of her.
So close, that when he turned, his face was right in front of hers.
"And I thought the prejudice was only with a few gods...seems even the god of love herself can't find it in her heart to accept a rebel." he said in an icy tone. His eyes changed to the glowing yellow they usually are.
"When's the last time you saw a demon who encountered a god and two humans, and didn't attack them?" he asked in a quiet, angry tone. "I can probably count how many times on one hand. That's because I am NOT like other demons. I do NOT attack gods, and I do NOT attack humans, but I DO attack other, evil demons." he made sure to accent each NOT and the DO by jabbing his index finger towards Rebecca's face.
"I have watched the rise and fall of civilizations, and been in wars. I have seen the sheer stupidity of the human race, and yet I can't help but feel pity for them, unable to fight back against us, being as a prey without a defense mechanism. So, I help give them a fighting chance."
He stayed quiet for a bit, his eyes going back to the cool blue they are in his human form. "I assume that now that you know what my nature is, you're going to stop giving me the cold shoulder, aye?" he said in the same quiet tone as before, but this time with less anger, it was more steady.

Oni nodded. "I often have to defend myself, so it gets a little irritating when every last person assumes you're evil. Chances are, you did just test me."
"Love, lust, beauty, same difference. So I missed out on 2, they weren't relevant. And yeah, I'm not like the other demons."
To illustrate the point, he pushed back the tails on his trench coat.
On either side of his his was a large circular pulley with a length of chain. Hanging loosely from the chain, strapped to his legs, were his kusarigama, or chained sickles. He then nodded to the rifle over his back.
"Had I been like the other demons, instead of flying to catch you, I could have caught you off guard using a rifle shot, or grab you from behind with one of my sickles. However, I might not have done that, because good or bad demon, I have a soft spot for women. And don't think it has anything to do with you being Aphrodite, because I would say the same thing if you were just a normal human." he explained, letting go of his jacket.

Oni looked over Rebecca's shoulder.
One of the men he hadn't noticed much before was radiating a huge amount of energy.
This guy was pissed.
Oni stepped towards Dimitri, and he felt a mixture of things, but he felt mainly heat, and a crapload of anger.
"Seems I was mistaken...there was two gods here." he said. "Though I don't recognize you." he added, pointing to Dimitri.
"God of fire...I honestly don't remember. Enlighten me, please." Oni said, looking at him.

"Hephaestus, the god of fire and the forge" Dimitri said. "And I'm sure you could understand my current state if you knew greek mythology but since you don't... Aphrotie is my wife, and as a worrying husband I'm sure you get my discomfort with the fact she's speaking too a rather heavily armed demon" He said, doing his best too keep his tempar in check. You did not, in any circumstance, get a god of fire pissed, that never went well, there was a reason he had a volcano named after him. Altair shifted away from Dimitri abit, the heat was alittle discomforting.

Oni nodded again. "Quite understandable. Hephaestus eh? I might need to remember that." he said off-handedly.
"Oh, and if you bothered to listen in, though I don't think you did, you would have heard that I will not, and would not, hurt you, or your wife, despite being as you say, heavily armed." he added in a casual voice.
"As I said, quite understandable. If I had a wife, I would defend her from, if I was in your position, what I saw as a vile, dirty demon. Of course, I'm not in your position, nor am I lucky enough to have a wife." Oni said after a minute.

RIkku looked out of a delapidated building and watched the Demons below. "This could be trouble...." She thought to herself praying that he didn't just send out a whole bunch of trackers.. "I think i had better leave before I am spotted just in case..." She said starting to climb down an old rusted fire escape, hoping to avoid notice, but she was more than ready to fight. "I wonder what demon that is he looks powerfull..."

"It's alright. I guess I need to learn to make better first impressions. In any case, you guys are alright." Oni said, extending a hand.
At that very moment, dull, in the distance, came a distinct sound.
Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. All to a perfect beat.
An army was marching in perfect time.
"Do you guys hear that?" Oni asked, bringing his hand back to take his rifle off his back.
As soon as he did that, he stuck the barrel on the ground, rested it against his leg, and started searching inside his trench coat pockets. Eventually, he found a case with his 6x scope. He pulled it out, snapped it on his rifle, put the case away, and brought the FAL over his shoulder.
"That sounded like an army...and I'm getting some odd vibes. I'm headed to check it out, join me if you want." Oni said casually.
He extended his wings, about to take flight.
"Oh yeah, erm...Hephaestus? Lucky b*****d." he added cryptically, beating his wings once to rise up, then leaving towards the edge of the city.

Rebecca blushed softly, she didn't know why but she did. "I missed you too." She sighed softly. She wished she could help as well but she didn't know what to do. She didn't have many specaily powers so it was harder for her.
