Kale was surprised at the fact Cameron could pop out thin air like a ninja. "Uhhhh... Well... I'd like to play snare but I don't think I'm cut out for it so you guys don't have to bother yourselves switching me around I'm not really worth the trouble." Kale began to sweat out of a combination of fear and nervousness all his musical career he wanted to be a marching snare but he never thought he'd ever be this close to becoming one or even playing one for that matter.

"Nonsense, dude," explained Cameron."Everyone has a shot at what they want to do. I used to be in pit on my freshmen year. Hold on."
Cameron sprinted over to the Percussion room, grabbed his snare case, threw the case top over his shoulder, and reached out for his snare. He attached his harnest to the snare, grabbed his sticks and walked back over to Kale.
"Here," said Cameron. "Put it on. Don't be afraid."

He stared at Cameron and then the snare. He had never played marching snare he only played concert snare but there's a huge difference between the two. "Well if you insist." He said in a shaky voice. He reached out to grab the harness and threw it on, then he grabbed the pair of sticks with his sweat drenched hands. "So what should I play?" He asked Cameron in his even shakier voice.

Keep me in your dreams...
A chuckle lightly shook the lad's body at the crowd's eagerness to please him. His own personal welcoming committee was already working on greeting him, just like in every other place he ventured. Their kindness had been wasted on a wretched soul like Caden, but he felt no remorse... Only self pity. Words inflicting pain would have been spoken in normal circumstances, but the boy determined that keeping up the act would ultimately bring him more pleasure. "Oh, no... I couldn't invade your space like that." The darkness of his mood was hidden inside the spheres which were closed passageways to his soul.
Planted in his being was a new game with ultimate possibilities, even if all of those he would trick found out the truth in the end. Standing silently, his eyelashes batted at the crowd. The boy who had greeted him seemed friendly enough, though hardly one he would lend his trust to. Being a harsh judge of one's appearance, emotionally and physically, was just one of Caden's many beautiful characteristics. He then noticed a girl who was attempting to catch his attention, which he had grown accustomed to. Her face was slender and a permanent blush painted her cheeks, but other than that her appearance was quite average, almost dull. He'd seen better looking girls in his life, but she was alright. Nothing special, but okay.
[Heh... Yeah. He's a jerk, I know. Sorry about that. x3]
So I can still make you smile.

"Well I know a bunch of the rudiments but I never learned them all out of the Stand Of Excellence Percussion Book 3, because we moved not long after the year had started but if I remember correctly I think I was learning how to do rolls in 6/8 time which I picked up pretty easily." Kale responded a little calmer than he did just seconds before.

((Heheh, don't sweat it, it's okay. Have you ever thought about writing a book? Your grammar is excellent! And you can write an excellent storyline! That is wonderful.))

'Oh, okay," responded Cameron. "Check this out, can you try and do this?"Cameron grabbed the sticks from Kale softly and placed it into traditional style.
He began to work out his chops for a quick second, as the sound of the snare blasted across the whole band room. And now he bagan to play.
Cameron played a rhythm he created, not long ago. A tempo of 170 bpm, just like how he always does, with combinations of Rolls; Triplets and 32nd notes all piled into one rythm.
"Can you try that at the same speed?"

Kale stood in amazement at the skill level Cameron had just performed at. "Well... All I could make out were the triplets because I'm guessing those weren't 16th notes so..... no." Kale responded with his head held down filled with shame.

Cameron gave a quick chuckle "Bro, don't worry about it, you'll get snare some day, I promise. I honestly thought I'd never be here, but I kept practicing as much as I could when I got home. And it paid off, because after I graduate out of this school, I'm getting recruited for some drum corps. "Here, let me show you something cool. It's pretty simple since it's just straight quarter notes, but it's difficult but of the aerial effects. check it this out."
4/4 Time 1-Hit drum with Right stick 2-Hit drum with Left stick; throw Right stick in the air E- Pass Left stick to Right hand reversed(holding the stick the other way) &- Catch thrown Right stick with left hand 3- Hit the drum with the bottom of the Right Stick(The bottom is on the drum already by the way.) 4-Hit the drum with Left stick; flip Right stick over(so that the stick is now faced the right way) 1- Hit the drum with Right stick
"Do you got it down," asked Cameron. "Or partially?" (sorry if it's really confusing.)

"I kind of get it but the aerial effects will take a lot of time for me to get even with just quarter notes. But thanks for your help, it's nice to know there's friendly people in this band." He said with a slight smile on his face but was still embarrassed by the fact he couldn't do anything Cameron had showed him, but he tried not to let him notice.

"Oh sorry I forgot about it for a second there." Kale slid the harness of his shoulders and handed it back to Cameron. "Thanks for teaching me that rythm I'll try to work on it but it'll be weird without a snare of my own. I really appreciate you trying to help."

[braveheart soldier: Your new nickname, as of right now, is BS. ;3 Ah, how I love giving people new names to be called. But yes, I have seriously thought about writing a book... Though, after I start, I sort of begin to lose motivation. Thanks, though, I'm glad others like my writing as well.
Goodness, Caden really does have to stop being a rude son of a biscuit eating bulldog.
I'll post more for him tomorrow.]

((Huh, Poet, that's two of us... But then... I have written a book. Stupid computer for crashing. ... *pokes Poet* Its lucky that you have me to instruct you on the ways of band nerds... And my new char looks like Eve but is really a girl that goes by Ian!))
Ian walks into the band room, her mouth formed into a line. I heard about the new band director, but I just passed G's car... huh. I bet he's still helping out, She thinks, and walks over to the instrument cabinets, seeing her mellophone from last year still where she left it. She opens the cabinet, and then pulls her mello out, then taking it out of the case. She plays a few notes, and grins. "Well, what about that. Brilliant little instrument this is after all!" She says to herself.
Sierra peeked out of her office when she heard the beautiful sound of a mellophone, and she looks at the case. A slight smile crosses her face as she noticed the old piece of duct tape across the hinges of the case. "My old mello... figures," She mutters, smiling.
