Conner closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. Though they had only just met, it seemed like a life-long dream come true that Yuurei was nuzzling against him.
His ears twitched slightly and he nodded. "The waterfall it is. Come on." He pawed her back gently and headed for the waterfall, waiting for Yuurei to walk next to him. He wanted to stay close incase they ran into anything else, or incase Maverick showed up again.
He shook his head. "No time really. I live with my great-grandfather, but he's in the process of moving in with his mate since they used to live with their seperate owners. I'm not doing anything else today." He chuckled and nosed Yuurei's cheek. "Besides. The woman of my destiny is more important than anything else I'd be doing."

Yuurei nodded and took her place beside him, feeling a sense of security and peace wash over her. She walked beside him, enjoying the sound of his voice as he spoke and looked at him curiously at what he had said about his great-grandfather. That sounds so nice to be able to live with one's mate, she thought to herself. She smiled softly to herself at the thought and also at the thought that Conner was free and didn't have to go back and considered her important. Her silver eyes widened excitedly and her tail wagged but she quickly calmed herself down and took a deep breath before answering him. "You're important to me too...." She whispered softly to herself before speaking in a louder tone. "That's... good... I... I didn't... I wasn't ready to say goodbye to you just yet." She looked away, shy once more and took another calming breath before continuing. "Um... I wanted to thank you for protecting me back there...."

Conner smiled and wagged his tail, turning to give her ear a gentle lick. "I'm glad. I don't want to go any time soon either." His head jumped to the thought, why do we have to say good-bye at all? Could he really ask so soon?
He smiled modestly. "It was an honor. I couldn't let him hurt you." He winced as his scratches began to sting again. "The waterfall should be coming up soon." He'd clean himself up there. "And... thank you. For your defense of me."

Yuurei nodded, suddenly excitedly and trotted ahead of him a few steps, tail wagging happily as she listened carefully and took a deep breath of the cool night air.
"I think I can hear it now. I cannot wait to get there." She spun back and returned to his side for a brief moment; as eager as a pup and pawed at him before trotting off again down the path ahead of him. The last thing he said finally registered in her mind and stilled her steps. She glanced back at him and with a sad smile, nodded. "You're welcome. It's just, I didn't watch someone else I care for get hurt." With a flick of her tail, she continued on towards the sound of the waterfall

Conner ran up to keep up with Yuurei. He smiled and gave her cheek a tender lick. "You're wonderful."
And there, through those bushes. Finally, the waterfall. How nice it was here. Smiling at Yuurei, he walked straight to the pool and dunked his head, cleaning off the dirt.

Smiling at the show of affection from him, Yuurei hung back a moment to stare at the waterfall and the surrounding area that was so beautiful to her. Without even realizing it, she found herself standing once more closely beside Conner and laughed at the sight of him dunking his head in the water and she nudged at his side playfully with her nose before nuzzling her head against his neck.
"That is no way to get clean." She teased lightly, backing up. She took a few steps before her legs were moving of their own accord and she was racing towards the edge of the pool. Without much thought, she jumped off of the edge and plunged into the dark water.

Conner snorted underwater as his side was poked, his head snapping up instantly. He shook his head free of water, and laughed as Yuurei jumped in. In the dark blue water, her white form looked like a close up star in the sky to him.
Smirking, he backed up and also ran, jumping with a light yip and splashed in, coming up laughing.

**A loud Howl can be heard from deeper into the woods followed by a rough male's voice** Hello?... I know that shack was out here somewhere. **Deep half snarl** Fenrir: Lost again human? Must you always get us lost!? **Male humans laughter rings through the air** True: Well if I'm so useless oh great Fenrir, why don't you use that nose of yours? **Fenrir growls at True once again as the two bedraggled traveler emerge once again upon the lands of the shack** True: Almost feels like we're home... Fenrir:Hmph

**both Fenrir and True continue toward the shack and knock on the front door respectfully** Fenrir: I still say humans should learn to howl, much more effective way to announce one's self.

Yuurei swam beneath the water for as long as she could possibly stand before she was forced to surface and did so laughing as well. She flashed Conner a playful smile before looking towards the waterfall and the other surroundings happily. A peaceful feeling settled over her and she floated closer towards him as she looked around.
"I think I want to call this place home now... when I'm here, I'm at peace." She shook her head, all seriousness leaving her and the playful smile reappeared. "Though, you know," She said, looking at him mischievously. "I don't think you're wet enough." And with that said, she raised her paw and began to splash him.

Conner swam calmly in the pool, paddling around in circles. He looked over at Yuurei with interest. "Really? Home here?" He paused, thinking about saying more, when he was splashed. Laughing, he started kicking both of his front paws, propelling himself backward as he splashed her.

Yuurei hadn't thought about retreating from him after splashing him with water until it was too late and she was being splashed. Sputtering, she ducked down under the water to escape him and moved backwards before resurfacing. Shaking her head, she barked at him
"Hey, I wasn't ready!" She called to him, laughing and swatting at the water making its way to her. Choosing to be brave, she slowly made her way towards him and smiled hesitantly. "I feel like such a little child asking this but would you like to play water tag?"

Conner laughed. "And I was? You started it!" He dipped his snout into the water and blew some bubbles before looking back up. "Water tag? How do you play it?" He wagged his tail, loving the idea of playing with this pale beauty, and mananged to propel himself forward and bumped into her. His face warmed as he chuckled an apology.

Laughing softly, Yuurei thought back to her memories of some of the childish games she had played. Tag had always been her favorite and water tag with Fumei had always been fun. Her smile fell slightly at the thought of the sister she hadn't seen in ages but she was pulled from going into a sort of saddened state when Conner bumped into her. She yelped, surprised by the action because she hadn't been paying attention but quickly realized when she realized it was him. She moved to brush her nose against the side of his face before drawing back and launching into her explanation.
"It's like regular tag but in the water, you can duck down and hide and if you leave the water you're out. And if you're it, before you go after the other people, you have to spin around in a circle three times." Yuurei nodded wisely as she explained the rules. She looked at him sweetly. "So, whose it?"

Conner smiled reflexivly when he felt Yuurei brush against him. He listened to the rules intently before nodding. "Okay. It sounds like fun." He cocked his head in thought and smirked. "I will be it." He growled playfully, lowering his head to just above the water in a sneaky motion. "I'm going ta get you!" He cooed, waving a paw threateningly in slow motion at her, giving her time to move.
