"Yeah it is..." he replied, giving a chuckle that sounded a bit more tense than he'd like it to before falling silent again to watch as Crysta met Batty for the first time.
He set his jaw before speaking again. "Nani, I'm glad you decided to come tonight." he said. There. That was a good start.

Tinania turns just alittle, only to see how close she was to Zhane. Blushing a deep red, she looks away as she nods alittle "I'm glad I came to Zhane, thank you..."resting her forehead slightly against his for a moment, she pulls away before she moves on the couch. Resting her head lighting on his chest, she rest her hand on his leg. She goes back to watching Ferngully, finding herself loving the movie as it goes on.

Anything he would had said in response to her statement was lost as his train of thought derailed in a collision of cars somewhere in his head as she settled against him purposely this time to continue watching the movie.
....NOW what?
He blinked, startled, and sat very still for several moments before tentatively venturing an arm around her back to rest his hand lightly on her opposite shoulder. He hoped it was the right thing to do in this situation, at least. It felt right...

Tinania glances at his hand on her shoulder for a moment before looking back at the movie. It didn't seem to bother her at all that is was laying there, in fact it actually made her smile. Closing her eyes for a moment, she reopens them as she gives his leg a gentle squeeze. The more she was around Zhane, the more she found herself comfortable and drawn to him.

When she didn't pull away, he relaxed a bit and settled in to watch the movie with her in silence, not offering any further awkward interruptions on his part as the tension that had commanded him to say something seemed to have eased.
Though he must have seen it a hundred times when he was younger, he found there were parts he'd forgotten here and there, or just plain had been too young to understand at the time. Occasionally, he stole side glances at Nani, watching how absorbed she seemed to be in watching it. He wondered if she was comparing herself to the fairies in the movie, and the thought made him smile a bit.

Tinania was actually comparing herself to them, noticing little things that were different between her and the fairies. Sitting up alittle, she glances at her wings then at the ones on the movie. The powers they had, and she had. It was confusing, yet interesting all at the same time. Lifting her hand, she push it through her hair before letting it drop back down on the couch.
Looking back at Zhane, she looks away before she sits up fully "Zhane, can I ask you a question?"

He turned to her as she spoke and drew his hand away from her shoulder so that he, too, could sit up straighter.
"Sure, Nani, what's up?" he asked, turning to face her a little more fully so that he was giving her his full attention, and none to the singing spotted blue lizard currently on the screen.

Tinania chews on her bottom lip before she looks away from Zhane "I don't know how to explain this, but the whole night I have had this strange feeling. Its like I am nervous yet at the same time I am not. I'm so comfortable around you, yet I barely know you." pushing her hair from her face she looks up at him "Yet at the same time, I feel like I do know you. As if I am safe when I am with you." blushing a deep red, she chews on her bottom lip for a moment.
Shaking her head she groans inwards to herself "I guess I am trying to ask is you been feeling that way also." if she was wrong, she was going to go hide under a rock.

He stared at her a moment, looking a bit like a deer in the headlights as her words rattled around inside of his mind and finally registered. It was as if she had just parroted his own turmoil the entire night right back at him, and summed it up with a lot less fumbling than he likely would have.
"I--" he began, finding it hard to speak for a moment. His throat felt like it had shrunk to the size of a pinprick. "---yeah, actually." He drew a deep breath, letting it out slowly to collect his scattered wits.
"I've kinda been feeling that way exactly." he said, letting his gaze settle on hers. It was nice to know he wasn't the only one, and he was glad SHE'D said it, because he'd had no idea how he would ever have begun to broach the subject.
It was weird, to say the least. Not weird in a bad way, but this was the sort of thing that happened to people in movies like the one they were watching. Not for real. "Ever since we met, I just....I dunno...."

Tinania actually seem to relax some as she takes a deep breath "So I am not the only one who feels as if this is a dream? Or that I have no control over what is going on between the two of us?" leaning back, she rest her hands on either side of her as she watches the movie for a moment "I don't know, it just seems like the moment you stepped into my life....I just want to be around you..."
Blushing she chews on her bottom lip before she looks away from Zhane "I really shouldn't have said that..."

He shook his head a bit, though he likewise dropped his gaze in uncertainty of the feelings they mutually seemed to have though they barely knew one another. "Its all right." he told her, finally daring to look back in her direction and mustering a smile for her. "I mean...heh...I'm not put off or anything."
More silence save the chattering of the movie.
".....hey Nani?" he asked at last.

Tinania was glad that he wasn't freaked out by everything she just said. She knew that if this was anyone else, they might have ran for the hills at this point. With a deep breath, she seem so caught up in her own thoughts, she hadn't really heard him call her name. It was after a moment, she realized he had.
Turning her head, she looks at Zhane, with a rather small shy smile "Yea?"

He cleared his throat, scooting a bit closer to put his hand on hers. "Would you like to...." he hesitated, and then gave a nervous shrug and chuckle. "....would you like to maybe go out somewhere sometime?"
She probably hasn't heard a line that smooth since high school. Good job. his brain snorted.
"I mean....I know we've technically BEEN out already, but...." He went on, knowing he was babbling and trying to put the brakes on before he made an idiot of himself.
That was, if he hadn't already.

Tinania glances down as his hands rest over her own hands. She only looks back up at him, when she heard him ask her out on a date. He was so nervous, and she couldn't help but think it was cute. Turning her hands under his, she leans in resting her forehead against his for a moment. Without a second thought, she press her lips against his for a soft gentle kiss.
Pulling back, she nods with her forehead still resting against his "I would love to go out on a date with you Zhane."

His words were cut off abruptly by her lips over his and it felt as if every muscle in his body had locked at the same time. It wasn't like the quick peck he'd stolen at the coffee shop when he'd convinced himself meeting her had all been a dream and he'd awaken to her never having existed.
As it broke, he remained where he was, his brow to hers, in a bewildered and pleasant sort of haze. At her words, he beamed, feeling a giddy joy that she'd said yes.
The dream-like euphoria he'd felt at the lake crept back as he felt himself once again questioning whether any of this was even real, though at the same time told himself firmly that yes. It was. So stop wondering.
His fingers interlaced with hers and gave her hands a squeeze. "Well, good, because I'd love to have you out on a date with me."
