I see where coming from with that, but what I'm saying is (which probably should mention in the last post, that I'm cool with my EXs) that me and him were hanging out as friends, she got jealous and got me involved with argument.

I don't see that you did anything wrong.
It sounds like she was a minor version of Slug.

I guess if you knew the whole situation, you would see her as version of Gregory.

Rath, I think the point of her example was that Ivan, had he decided to get involved, may have needed up as an alternate version of Slug.
Yes, Ivan was a terrible friend. But by your logic that all morally incorrect things are equally incorrect, everyone on this list would share a spot for number 1 since they all did something immoral.

We cannot assume that. Each character seems to have a different personality, appealing to different people, so it's very doubtful that Ivan would end up as slug. There's many people who are devoted friends and not like slug.
And no, that is incorrect, for we as human dictate things on our own levels as to what is worse, which is what this entire exercise was about. Try to remember that.

I kind of agree with you on that, and I see why you believe that Ivan did something wrong. But I'm still sticking in what I believe in and still saying that Ivan didn't do anything wrong.

I take it back, I guess Ivan is the REAL most controversal character, since we have been arguing about him for the last 2-3 pages!
But, go ahead and assume whatever you wish about Ivan. Until I know more than I do about him, I'LL assume that Sinbad was his father-in-law and ain't no way he gettin' near him.

I didn't change from peer pressure, I changed from seeing the others' opinions and rethinking my own. D: I had always pitied Abigail, but I focused a little more on the revenge than the rape...
EDIT: It's possible Ivan knew that Gregory was indeed a bad person, and did not help Abigail because of it. Either way, he should have given her some kind of advice. And I still believe that Gregory should have tried to get to Abigail first, so she wouldn't have had to do all that.

I said alternate version for a reason. It's fairly obvious that Slug and Ivan have different personalities. Otherwise Ivan would've gone with Abigail and beaten the snot out of Sinbad. The point is, Ivan could've been operating under the impression that anything he did was likely to make the situation worse. But it seems odd to me that anyone could think that neither doing good or bad could be worse than actually doing bad.
