He felt his breath catch in his throat as she pulled him close for a moment, though she was gone again just as quickly, and he was dry once more. He opened his mouth to thank her, cut short as she presented him with her gift.
He reached as if to take the shell from her, and then placed his hand over hers, giving it a squeeze, the shell pressed between their palms for a moment.
"I won't forget it. Even if it was only a dream, I wouldn't forget it." he assured her.

Tinania smiles before she leans in then brushes her nose against his. Pulling back she turns away as she grabs her shoes. Pulling them on, she turns back towards him. Placing her hands out in front of herself, she waits for him to get ready.
She had a feeling neither one would forget this little adventure. Talk about a great way to meet.

He took a moment locating and then pulling his shoes back on, bracing himself against the tree trunk to keep from toppling over as he did so, flashing her a somewhat sheepish smile as he did.
When he was ready, he approached once more to take her hands, taking one last long look around himself, trying to commit everything about this place to memory so he would, if nothing else, have something to daydream about come the morning.

Tinania chuckles before she rest her forehead against his once again. Closing her eyes, the air shifts around them alittle before they vanish from the lake. In a matter of seconds, they were standing outside the coffee shop, which was now closing up it seems. People were still inside, but alot of the tables were getting wiped down.
Pulling her head back alittle, Tinania glances towards the coffee shop "It must be almost eleven. As its the final shop that closes along this street at night." looking back towards Zhane, she smiles as she squeezes his hand "I'm glad I got to meet you finally Zhane. This night has been great, it made me forget about all my worries...even just for alittle bit."

"Me too." he told her, beaming with....something. He wasn't sure. "We should do it again sometime." The smell of the coffee shop returned to his senses, the roasted beans and the steamed milk a cloying smell compared to the fresh air and crisp water of the lake.
He could not shake the nagging feeling that any moment he was going to jolt awake at his keyboard, staring at the blinking cursor of a half-written exploration journal entry. All of it had just seemed so sudden and so just what he'd needed to be real. And this kind of stuff just did NOT happen to him.
If it -was- only a dream, though....
"Thank you for meeting me." he whispered, pausing for a moment that felt like forever before leaning in and quickly, gently, brushing his lips over hers before drawing back again. It was inexperienced and awkward, which was not surprising considering he'd never done it before.

Tinania would have said something, if it weren't for the kiss she just got out of no where. Eyes widening alittle, she actually blushes before she giggles trying to hide her face from him. Closing her eyes, she smiles before she looks back at Zhane. Lifting her hand, she brushes it across his cheek before she takes a step away from him "We will, you can bet on it."
Turning away, she moves down the sidewalk to her car. Turning back, she watches Zhane before she blows a kiss to him "I'll see you soon Zhane." slipping into her car, she tuns it over before she pulling out of the parking spot. Moving to where he was still standing, she grabs a piece of paper then a pen.
Writing her number down, she holds it out towards him. Her cheek still flush as she looks up at him "Give me a call sometime okay?"

He saw his hand reach out to take the paper from her, moving on its own accord, his own mind a jumbled sort of haze at the moment. He was aware he was smiling and couldn't stop if he'd wanted to.
"I'll do that." he told her, looking over the number before folding the paper and placing it in his overshirt's pocket, tucked safely near the bottom.
"I'll..." he paused to clear his throat. "I'll talk to you soon, Nani."
Maybe I'll see you online and tell you all about this dream I had, as long as you promise not to laugh. he thought to himself, stepping back a bit from the car so she could safely pull away.

Tinania smiles before she winks at him, looking away she pulls her foot of the break as she heads down the road. Only to turn off onto the road heading towards Durem. The whole time on the way home, she could help but giggle every once in awhile.
As she turns down the street for her Haven, she pulls out her cell dialing her home. As it rings a few times, she places it on speaker "Hello, Nani?"
"Hey Rose, I'm calling to see how everything went? I'll be home in about ten minutes."
"Smooth actually, Seiji is still asleep. So how was your meeting with your friend?"
Tinania smiles as she pulls her car into the parking spot just outside the gate "I'll tell you all about it, when I get in. I'm just outside the gate. Talk to you in a few." closing her cell, she slips out of the call as she nods to the guard.
Walking the short distance to her house, she pauses as she is greeted by Rose. The look on her face made her guess that her dear friend knew something had happen.
Taking Rose's hand, she opens the door as she lets them both in "You would never believe the night I had..." pushing the door close, she explain everything that went down that night.

The drive home was quiet, his brain somewhere else entirely as visions of crystal water, mermaids, and golden curls swirled through past his mind's eye.
As he pulled into the driveway and let himself into the house, everything remained dark and still.....though even if everyone had been wide awake and waiting up for him, he could not have cared less.
Casting a quick look at his clock as he closed himself back into his room, he noted that it was nearly one in the morning. It had been scarcely ten when he'd finished dressing to head out. Had they really been gone -that- long? It had felt like only minutes...
With a sigh, he flopped onto his bed, landing on something a bit sharp and wincing as he dug the small blue seashell she'd given him out of his pocket, holding it up to examine. In the darkened room, it still shimmered with the same brilliance it had when he'd first seen it.
Somewhere along the line, staring at the small shell and replaying what had transpired tonight over and over again, sleep came.
