However long it takes I'm sure you'll figure it out. Right now I'm debating between becoming a History Professor or something involving natural resources and environmental studies. You know, with global climate change being the major crisis of our time it's natural for my thoughts to go that way. And my short time so far with the Conservation Corps is making me think a little bit harder about it. But I still want to be a historian because I find the study of history so fascinating. To be more precise I find the pursuit of truth so exciting and a lot of historians use their prestige to tell people what the truth is rather than trying to find out what it really is. So my carrier paths are A) helping our ailing climate or B) uncovering the truths of our paths. That's what I've narrowed it down to.

i don't know, I feel like I need to do for other some times. But I really do have a personal interest if everything I want to do, so as long as I'm not giving myself up the I think it gives me extra pride in the job I'm doing.

I think so anyway. Speaking of jobs I love doing, working in the CCC is SOOOO awesome. Like, everything they offer us here is the s**t. Like, I have so much opportunity here to do basically whatever I want to do. With in reason of course but, I have the world before me. I recommend it to everyone who isn't currently engaged in anything dramatic. It's a great way to make money and help sort out everything you want to do in life.

Well, I dont' get to choose what "work" I do here. That's determined by where I'm needed. But, I do get to do whatever I want in my off hours. And if I have enough people to go with me (and a designated driver) the state will give me a vehicle and pay for the gas to get us all there. Like, I went to the beach a couple weeks ago on the state. And they help give me scholar ships, and get my B license. Not to mention they give me specialist training if I want it. And then they often help you find carreer options to (mostly in forestry). They'll also help organize cool things for our center. Like, we're starting a vegatable garden to help freshen up the food available to the corpmembers. And I'm teaching a yoga class here and quite a few people are attending. I'm also helping with the newspaper which is a pretty cool project. So over all I'm getting a lot of cools stuff done here.

Trist, you heart is always in the right place. blaugh heart So, it would have to be in one's interest to be able to work with mother nature, otherwise, its not the right place for you, unless you are undecided and willing to try anything. blaugh 3nodding

Fox o_O They really treat u well there, but i'm sure u've have to work really hard though. You're not sure that I'M working hard. Man, have you ever cut trail before? Have you ever had to respond to a fire emergency and work 16 hour days for two 42 days? I haven't had those opportunities yet, but those are things that the conservation corp does and it is hard. And more over, even the easier stuff is still hard manual labor. I was doing landscaping today and I was pulling slabs of concrete out of the ground, then I had to level something like a 10 yard berm and a fatty hill, then I had to dig out a drainage ditch and fill it with rock and I also had to help lower a huge flag pole so it could be painted and I also had to help lift it back up, then I had to pull shrubbery from around this place. And I did all that in one day, and tommorrow we're going back to do more. So I don't know what you consider hard work, but I think that's it. Often we have what we call a spike where we camp out in the woods for 8 days and work 10 hours a day doing hard work like cutting a trail through a forest, burning excess shrubbery, planting trees, or even pulling ammophila (but 10 hours of ammophila is a test no matter who you are). Not to get offended or anything but trust me, we work hard here in the C's. But I can't do manual labor all of my life. I think that I should do some mental work late in life. I have a lot going for me.

I'm sorry I said that wrong, I know that u have been working extremely hard and I've heard before from other people how hard that is, sorry I'm tired and distracted so I don't pay enough attention to what I write, I wrote it wrong, when I said I'm sure u've been working hard - I meant I don't know the exact details - but i have heard it's a hard job and I think u are a hard worker that is working hard- I really didn't mean it how I wrote it, I meant something else
