Blaine saw Osiris' look towards him and rolled his eyes, What did he expect me to do? I had no goddamn clue what this thing was., "Blazers, huh? What are those? Is it supposed to be dangerous to put one of these on a person?" he inquired.

"Remember what I said about how activating his fire Mysticker to its full extent on his hand would melt his skin off and jack up his nerves permanently?" Anatoly reminded him. "I wasn't making that up. I got that out of a declassified report of the early government work on Mystickers that I was reading when I was extremely bored a few years back."

Anna stirred slowly then stretched, carefully keeping her balance in her slouched position on the tree branch. She yawned softly before opening her dark-red eyes half-way, gazing at the green leaves that surrounded her. Anna sat up and twisted herself from side to side to pop her back before reaching around and lightly scratching it; her back hurt, but that was nothing new. Voices drifted up to her and she looked this way and that before spotting a group of people about half a block away. One of her hands reached up to sleepily rub one of her eyes while the other one continuted to watch the group with tired curiousity.
All of the sudden a dark-skinned man lit his arm on fire. Lit it on fire! Anna's hands clutched onto the tree bark as a softy, wheezy gasp came from her, her eyes wide with shock. And he was just standing there, all calm like nothing was wrong. But he was on fire! Fire! Anna fell backwards, a silent scream coming from her as she fell and landed on the ground with a thud. Anna sat up and quickly pushed her long, orangish-red hair out of her face, catching a glimpse of the yellowed tips as she did so. Had they seen her? Heard her? Probably. Anna quickly looked around to find that her notebook and sharpie weren't far away. The slender girl quickly scrambled over to them and clutched them to her chest as if she would die without them.

Emma, who was still grateful that she hadn't activated the sticker on her hand, all of a sudden heard a thump with her keen sense of hearing. She spun around on one foot and got back into her fake kung fu stance. "WHO GOES THERE!?" she shouted with her eyes narrowed, looking down the block where she heard the noise.

Anna's eyes couldn't get any wider. Quickly she started signing with her hands, hoping that at least one of them could read sign language. She didn't know what was going on, and was startled at what she had just witnessed.

"Hey, uh, are you okay?" Anatoly called out to her. He had absolutely no understanding of sign language but she looked rather frightened.

"What's that you're doing with your hands?!" Emma shouted from down the street. Her eyes widened as she let out a gasp before saying, "You're not doing some freaky deaky spell on me are you? ARE YOU?!"

Blaine looked to where the sound came from, he witnessed a woman doing something with her hands. Is she signing? he thought, Blaine didn't know sign language, but he could tell the difference between it and obscene hand-gestures, "I think she wants something." he said, not bothering to elaborate.

Anna stopped and put her hands down. So, they couldn't understand sign language. Her cheeks puffed out as she picked up her notebook and quickly wrote Anna, not a witch! before turning it around and holding it up. Could they read from that far away? Maybe not. Anna jumped to her feet and trotted over, her knee-high boots thunking against the pavement. Anna stopping a few feet away, steering clear of the crazy lady before holding the sign up again and waving it a little bit. She looked at Osiris and her eyes widdened again, and she quickly flipped the page of her notebook and drew cartoonish flames with the word "burn" under it before turning it around again and pointing to the dark-skinned man, hopping a little bit in her urgency.

"You," Anatoly said in an exaggeratedly matter-of-fact way to Emma, whose name he did not yet know. "Evidently, her name is Anna and she is a not-a-witch." He turned to Anna. "Anna, I have no idea why you can't talk and I won't ask if you don't want to tell us, but yeah, we know he lit his arms on fire. We are attempting to come to terms with this ourselves. If I wasn't so fascinated I'd be panicking right now, probably."

Anna looked from Anatoly, to Emma, to Osiris, to Blaine, then to the thugs. She wrote How? and held up her notebook again, tilting her head in a curious mannor. There was some leaves and such stuck in her hair, but she hadn't noticed that yet.

Emma stood up straight and slightly chuckled nervously. "I-I knew that," she excused as she scratched the back of her head. Excusing the tall guy's comment, she stuck out her hand towards Anna and introduced, "Hi, I'm Emma Raine Watson, fish extraordinaire."

Anna quickly scratched out what she last wrote and under it scribbled Blazers are stories. before once again holding her notebook for all to see. All the talking was making her arms tired. Anna looked down at Emma's hand and stared for a moment before smiling and grabbing her hand, her fingerless leather glove pressing against her skin as she shook Emma's arm up and down. Anna let go after a moment and wrote on her paper Anna Fredret, street rat. with a little picture of a mouse before holding her notebook up again for Emma to see.
