Ruque blinked up at Niyana in confusion, reaching for her hand as they walked.
"My siblings?" he repeated, puzzled. "No ... aren't they up on the mountain, training with Corrah?"
He was glad his aunt was doing better, but he was so confused by Niyana's question about his siblings that he didn't comment on it.
For a moment the griffin flew along ahead of the others, but he looked over his shoulder and spotted the dragon walking on her own between them. He clicked his beak disapprovingly and flew down to join her, falling into step beside her and putting one arm around her shoulders to help keep her steady.
He chirped softly to her to let her know that he was there with her, and that he wouldn't let anything happen to her.

Niyana took Ruque's hand and walked watching the smaller seconds and the afternoon sky. "Well I just wondered...for some reason I thought one or two of them might have been coming down sooner that I thought...I guess I need to go up and talk to their trainer's huh?" She laughed softly, "Ruque..if your gut tells you something always follow it..."
The dragon looked at him nuzzling her head under his chin as she walked on two legs. She turned her head to nibble gently on the side/back of his neck. It was a place she knew her fangs would seek more and more as they grew older and the time to bring their kind back started to gnaw at them.
She clicked at him and smiled at him. She knew he would take care of her as she would him. And as they both would their new master.

Ruque looked at Niyana strangely. "Yeah," he agreed. "Corrah must not be doing too good a job if they're down here already. 'Less he told them to for training or something." He shrugged.
At Niyana's final comment, though, he was confused again. "My gut?" he repeated. "Why? I mean ... what happened?"
Young though he was, he was also quite observant, and he could tell that something was bothering his mother.
The griffin closed his eyes happily as she nuzzled under his chin, and as she nibbled at his neck he turned his head and preened through her hair affectionately. It was his way of showing his regard for her, as well as showing that he would care for her in more ways than just the one.
Then he cooed softly at her and reached for her hand as they walked, turning to look ahead to watch for danger.

Niyana smiled, "Well I must be thinking about seeing my children so I should go up there." he smiled, "So I guess after we take care of Idhril, I will go up to see your brother and sisters. With your new friends I am sure you will be fine at home until I and or your father get home." She ruffled his head.
The young dragon giggled and her claw hand to his happily. She walked looking around to keep a guard. Her ears listening. She was so glad to be holding his hand. She loved feeling close to him and others.
He was such a good guy and she loved being with him. She was so very glad that he was the one that survived. She wanted to hold him close and dance in the sky with him.
