Tsuki noticed how the marbles weren't moving around as much, watching as both otters attacked the same marble, chuckling as they butted heads. So adorable. She felt his eyes moving back and forth between her arms and her face, turning her eyes to him when she felt his touch, it was really more of a pressure on her skin, she didn't really feel it at all. She smiled sadly, calling one of the otters to her palm, the other vanishing. She glanced from the otter to him then, letting it fade into mist. Taking a deep breath, she lowered her eyes to the mist then, her hands stopping in their movement. "Being born a Mizu, you know pain early on. You are picked on, tortured, beaten. It's how I got some of the scars on my back. No, these..." She looked at her arms, her smile growing pained. "They set fire to our house with my parents and little brother inside. I heard my brother crying and I tried to reach in and save him, but my older sister caught me. My hands were lucky, they were wrapped in water, my weak attempt at protecting myself. She had to fight to get me away from the house. She pushed my arms into the snow once she got me free, but the damage was done. She took me to the edge of Mist and took care of me, taught me moreso how to fight and survive." She answered quietly, placing her bracers back on so she didn't have to look at them anymore.

She turned her eyes back to him, tears held in them, but they wouldn't fall, she wouldn't let them fall. Her smile was gentle, her brown eyes finding his again, the pain gone from her expression. "I never show them to anyone I don't trust." She said quietly, brushing her hair back.

Sai sighed lightly as he remembered that cold night, the night when the village had turned on his family and burned down his home. Killed his parents. His twin brother. He had been the only lucky one, if it hadn't been for his adoptive father who gave him shelter and a second name to go by falsely he wouldn't have been alive at this moment. He shook his head slightly and lifted his hand away from her arms so she could return the bracer to it. "... I'm sorry that you had to go through that... I don't know what posses people to be so cruel to others. Let alone dare to turn on what they dont understand rather then try to learn.." He shook his head again as glimpses of ice spikes blasting through his burning home ran past his eyes. Sighing he shook it off and looked back up at Tsuki, the tears holding firmly in her eyes as she smiled at him. Not knowing how exactly to respond but found himself making a slight nod as his lips spread to a warm smile the platform beginning to descend through the air. "Hmm, ready to go back down?" He asked calmly as he continued to stare into her eyes, the free marbles zooming around in the air quietly.

Vykin sighed slightly, her mind getting distracted. She didn't need to be able to read lips to see that they were having a private conversation. She sat on the mission tower, waiting for the pair to come down. Sorain stopped by and muttering some words of annoyance. The Genin kinda felt bad for the guy, considering that he had been first to pounce on the prospect of Tsuki, and she had pretty much ruined it for him. Oh well, there would be other catches in the sea. Vykin was actually somewhat startled as Sorain pulled her in close, confused for a second, as Sorain muttered his annoying comment towards her. Vykin smirked slightly before Sorain pulled away, and said, "If you want the serious answer, I have gone to brush my nose, but the weight of the blade attached to my arm generally reminds me that I don't have that arm anymore. And when I don't have a blade attached in, obviously my hand wouldn't reach."

Sorain jumped off the office roof and began walking away as Vykin looked upwards and noticed that Sai and Tsuki seemed about ready to come down now, both seeming ready to come down. Vykin called to Sorain as he was walking away, "Hey Sorain, hold up. I was just going to head into the mission building. Let's go in, and eventually those two will come down and join us. So c'mon, let's go inside."

Vykin jumped off of the building as well, landing in front of the establishment, waiting for either Sorain or the two above them to come down and join him first. Whichever came down first would be fine with him.

Sorain turned and sighed as deep as a sign could possibly go and ran back to the mission office stopping next to Vykin,"Sorry, just had to do it." He said smiling then looking down at the new hook,"Still though, nice.. blade thingy, im sure that you really could hurt someone with it" He said, trying to find some sort of complement, it did not help that Vykin was almost taller than sorain making her look odd enough as it was. Sorain looked through the side of his Bykugan and noticed the love birds comeing down, the bitterness was there but sorains ultimate judgement held strong. He did not allow himself to be swayed by envy, that was below him. Sorain lead the life of the enlightened, except when he was drunk...which reminded him. He reached to his side and pulled out a bottle of sake and took a gulp that would drown a fish. This was the ultimate way to deal with a semi cracked, but not broken heart. The sake hit him hard and his face began to flush and with that, it was all over. Sorain took another sip and off he was to cloud nine in his mind, to drift into happy land smelling nothing but rice.

Vykin smirked slightly towards Sorain as she knew what he was thinking about the two shinobi that were currently apart from them at the moment. She said to him before they landed, "Well Sorain, so you've missed the first punches, however you're not out of the battle yet. Just because Sai has the upper hand on you, being alone with the girl for a while doesn't mean that you can't swoon her back with your natural charm anyway. Just honestly, be yourself and don't ******** look her over like a fifth grader getting his first boner... at least when she's looking. Typically, us women want you to look us over all the time. However, most women don't enjoyed being stared at. So just make sure that she's not paying attention when you do it, alright? You gave me no choice but to let my woman instinct of slapping take over... and I'm sorry about that by the way. I guess I was a major c**k-block..." she finished with a genuine expression of apology.

That little advice was sort of Vykin's way of making it up to Sorain, even though he might not appreciate it, but it was worth a shot trying to make it up to him anyway. Considering that the two were close to landing, Vykin decided to wait for them to officially land before actually entering the office to find out what this big mission was all about. She was sure that they would find out eventually, but they could wait. As they landed, Tsuki seeming to skate down to where they were waiting down below, Vykin sighed slightly, shaking her head a little bit as she looked back to Tsuki, saying with heavy sarcasm, "Like the flight?"

She was trying really hard not to be a c**k-block for Sai now, but it was rather annoying trying to be nice to the guy... but he did deserve it for the moment.

Tsuki heard the heavy sarcasm, lowering her eyes, tying her hair back with the ribbons she had tied to her waist. The sarcasm almost felt like a slap, hence the action to distract herself. "Yeah... It was relaxing." She murmured quietly, noticing Sorain's state. Another pang of guilt. She started reverting back to how she normally was in Earth, calm, her expression impassive. No fun, no smiles, barely any talking. She tilted her head a little as she saw Sorain point a finger at her in his drunken state, blushing as he scanned her body again, his compliment succeeding in adding a little more color to her pale cheeks. Her eyes widened a little as she saw what he was doing, turning away in embarrassment. Yep, she was just about back to how she had been before. She stood straight, forcing the blush to leave her cheeks, her expression once again impassive.

Tsukiyamoru only glanced to Vykin as she took care of Sorain, a finger twitching a little as she heard her stomp on his stomach. She saw her shift his position, turning back around, observing as she had that morning, calmly. She was trying not to show her guilt, knowing she shouldn't feel this bad for something so small. But she did, that was all that mattered. Shifting her eyes to Vykin, she was trying to pull herself out of the shell that she had protected herself in for so long, managing a half-smile. "Thanks, my sister taught me well. You are as well. I saw when I was watching to be sure you were fine earlier." She said quietly, fixing her bracers a little.
