Lateef notices that her sister and her sister's friend were not going to wait. So Lateef has Ellen park out, she then put her right hand on the back of the saddle and the left grabbed onto Ellen's mane and the reins. She put her left foot in the stirrup and jumped up onto Ellen's back. She looks over at Tinkia and says "Well you ready for some fun?"

"Let's just say Lateef has an interesting choice in friends, Riley. You are just going to have to be respectful for the time being. She may come in handy on our journey,"Samantha whispered, so only Riley could hear.

She simply nodded slightly and kept going, by this time they were nearly to the edge of the town and the side entrance in the Walls that surrounded the main city were with in sight.

Zakia let out a big laugh answering Lateef with a harty "YA CHA!" Sugar's ears shot up and the mules leaped forward shooting past Riley and Samantha, cantering to the city walls were they turned to wait on the rest of the party.

Lateef laughed and yelled out "YE HA" and Ellen widened her eyes and broke into a gallop to catch up with Zakia. As she was running she had her neck and tail arched as if she was a show Morgan. She then did a sliding stop once she got to Zakia and her mules. Then she turned around to face her sister and Sam.

Neither Riley nor her horse were startled when the others flew past them, at less then safe speeds for being in town. She simply watched as they went by, and hid her thoughts completely as she continued walking Hellsbane the remainder of the way to the gate.

Samantha had to bit her lip to prevent herslef from laughing as the two younger members of their team shot ahead of them. She and Lightning were not surprised by their sudden appearance and Samantha patted Lightning on the side softly.
"Some people seem to be in a hurry,"Samantha noted in a jovial voice.

Riley nodded agreement with Sam as she steered Hells through the gate and out onto the main road, past the younger two and back in the lead of the group.

Zakia tagged on to the end of the train, whistling a brisk song to herself, letting the mules pick there own pace. Sugar chose to the speed of a snail on crack. Jaybird pranced up and down the line and around the party in circles spooking at dust clouds, leaves and anything else the caught his eye. He was in high spirits and glad to be on the road again.

Lateef told Ellen to move on and she joined up with Zakia.

The Roads out of Palace Rie and it's surrounding city, were all paved with stone. The smaller side road that our travelers are taking, was once stone much like the rest, but has been covered over with fine pebbles, that were originally placed there to fill in ruts and holes along the way. To their left is the wall that Stands in white stone about twenty feet high, around all of the city and palace. Around them are more houses, these are of the poorer classes, and have built up around the great city for protection, and in hopes of bettering themselves. The Road leads along the wall for nearly 10 paces before breaking off and winding down through the shacks and houses until finally breaking out into the vast openness of the land.
Outside of even the small houses and buildings, the land of Terenalb is fairly flat, covered in prairie grass and wild flowers the blow in the constant wind. Breaking up the monotany of this prairie land are scatterings of trees and farm houses amidst their farms.

As Riley led the way past the last few houses and out into the vast openness of the land. It was obvious that both her and Hellsbane relaxed just a bit. She had never been fond of being cooped up in crowded places, and hellsbane had been with her for a large majority of her life, and was used to the freedom that they had enjoyed when Riley and Lateef had been Mercenaries.
Once outside of the outskirts of town she picked up the pace just a bit so they would make decent time before the sun began to set.

Samantha gave a gentle cluck with her tongue, which caused Lightning to pick up the pace, catching up to Riley. Lightning looked like he was enjoying the outing and was ready for adventure. Samantha laughed lightly, patting him on the head.

Jaybird settled down and fell in to walk politely beside Sugar, who trailed along behind the party by a couple of horse lengths. Zakia broke out in song. The lyrics were difficult to determine with her accent, but it seemed to be a rowdy and possibly lewd song about traveling.

Lateef let the reins hang lose and let Ellen relax. Ellen then picked up her pace because she thought her owner making her walk too slow. She stayed about half way between Riley and Zakia. Ellen and Lateef though relaxed they were still very alert about their surroundings.
