A light waltz music picked up, and Richard took Lorey in his arms, one hand on her back, the other held her hand gently. "I dont have much experience, but I've prided myself as a gentleman to at least know the basics of dancing..." He explained a little embarassed as he lead her off slowly at first, gradually picking up speed. "Though I'd say it's just like we did before. With everyone staring at us in pure jealousy. Now they are staring because they know I'm dancing with the love of my life, who coincidentally is the most beautiful girl in the room..." He said softly, not letting his eyes leave hers.

As much as she wanted to keep her eyes on his always, she kept looking at their feet, making sure her dress wasn't in the way...
"Richard, I swear..." she said, nearly tripping over herself, but laughing. "Look at that woman over there." Her eyes flicked to a woman with lovely strawberry blonde hair, wearing a green dress that reminded Lorey of a mermaid. She laughed, practically glowed in her environment. Everyone around her seemed to glow with her, fawning over this lovely woman who was no doubt important.
"You don't think she's at least pretty? I bet she thinks you're handsome." It was all in play, of course, but Lorey did actually feel guilty for stealing a spotlight from others. It almost frightened her, even if she attributed any attention to her dress and not actually herself.

"There is a difference between pretty and beautiful..." He explained, giving her a wink. "Growing up, my father always told me, 'if you say a girl is hot, sexy or another cheap term, you are merely looking at her body...call her pretty, and you are only looking at her face...but call her beautiful, and you're looking at her heart.' and Lorey my dear...you are beautiful, and lovely, and stunning...just..everything..." he breathed, daring to steal a kiss from her despite all the eyes on them.

She knew that saying by heart, but never imagined anyone would actually use it...
"What do I call you?" she asked as they turned and kissed. It nearly sent her tripping over her own feet, but miraculously she pulled through, blushing.
"One word doesn't suit you at all. I need more, like caring, gentle..." And even then, none of them completely described what she wanted to say. Richard was beautiful, but it sounded so odd.

"I'm simply 'your Richard'.... Yours and only yours..." he cooed, his eyes softened and narrowing as he touched his forehead to hers as they continued dancing.
It was then the song began to slow, continuing onto another waltz if not a bit slower. So keeping the same hold on her, Richard simply brought her closer in so he could whisper in her ear. "I love you Lorey Burnheart...Don't you forget it..."

Only hers...
Lorey slipped in closer to him so that they were more hugging and turning in circles. She placed the side of her head on his chest. It didn't bother her that the last few times he had told her not to forget was in a desperate, almost angry way.
"You told me that once before..." she said, picking her head up to look at him. "The way you said it now was different, though. You sounded so much happier... And I won't forget, as long as you know that I love you, too, Richard Mentaro." Lorey smiled through her eyes while the rest of her face looked serious. She loved him, and the rest of the room would just have to watch.

Richard just looked down at her with soft, adoring eyes, shaking his head. "You're wonderful..." he cooed, pressing her head to his chest gently in a mid dance hug, wanting so bad to just radiate how much he meant it through his arms into her body and heart.

"People are staring," she whispered, hiding her face for a moment in his coat. "It must be because I'm dancing with an angel."
She smiled to herself, wondering if he'd catch where that came from...

"Hm...perhaps, but you're the reason I got my wings..." He replied suavely, keeping his forehead to hers, smiling slightly as he opened his eyes only a bit.

Lorey closed her eyes completely. It was easier to take in his smell and touch, and the music...
...which had stopped. Darn, she thought. It forced her right back to the present, but also made her realize with another blush that one of the reasons people had been staring at them was that they'd stopped dancing for the last minute or so, just standing in place, fawning over each other.
"Guess the dancing's over... what now?" She wasn't sure if he wanted coffee or dessert. The night could stretch out as long as they wanted it to...

Richard blinked. He hadn't noticed the music stopped either. "How about something sweet?" He offered, leading her back towards the table. "We could eat here, or I know of this fantastic ice cream place down the street i used to go to as a kid." He joked but only partially, loving the idea of the stares the two would get, as a lovely couple dressed in formal clothes, ordering form a local icecream stand.

They were two peas in a pod. Lorey loved the idea of going out somewhere else for dessert, especially if Richard had memories of the place from his childhood.
"Let's go there!" she exclaimed as they made their way back. "I'd love a sundae. What would you get?"

Ricard laughed, practically beaming down at Lorey. "Alright alright, Hm...I'll probably get an old favorite of mine...I'll show you when we go alright?" He laughed, offering her his arm again, leading her to the front of the restaurant. He turned to speak with the waiter about payment, but the same manager from the front waved them on.
"Now now monsieur, we are just glad you and your lovely company had a good time. Your bill will be taken care of by us..." he said with a bow, though looked up concerned.
Ricahrd laughed a little shaking his head. "You're a good man. And will most likely stay one in my book. Just be good alright?!" He called over his shoulder as the vallet pulled up the speeder.The manager seemed to catch his drift and whiped his brow in relief.
Richard opened the side door for Lorey. "The parlor is just a couple streets and maybe a block or so away. I dont ant you ruining your dress so..." He smiled, rubbing the back of his neck.

Lorey had to steal a kiss from him before gently gathering herself into the speeder. An icecream parlor... they barely had those anymore. This would be yet another chapter in their adventure.
Hopefully, though, Richard wouldn't have this management on his list of "people."

Alex had reserved for them a nice booth in the restaurant where they could get a lovely view of the gardens. Though most of the foliage was starting to fade because of the cooler weather, it was still a nice area to look at. Alex didn't really care, though, as he already knew his view would be occupied solely by Jessica.
They were seated and handed their menus by a young waitress who left almost immediately afterwards to give them some time. Alex already knew what he wanted, having visited there many times with friends.
"I'm buying," he said. "Don't worry about being too pricey."
