Tai grinned as he noticed a girl walking down the street. She seemed to have an animal accompanying her. But all the same, the hunted was the hunted to him.
He pointed his hand in Mizuki's direction and gave a very gentle flick of a finger. "Let's start this up slowly, shall we?" He said to himself.
The attack was supposed to inflict sharp pain to a physical body, but right about now, the attack was held back. Even so, the pain should be noticeable.

Abigail couldn't help her reaction when Nicholas grabbed her hand. Her eyes automatically widened, her nervousness back in tow. She quietly nodded along to his explanation, absorbing every little word he said. "That would make sense I suppose," Abigail thought aloud. The inside of her locket was written in Latin. When she spoke what was inside- one of those words seemed to activate her power to see the shadows. As far as elements went, however, Abigail didn't know what one her stone possessed. "There should be at least a couple Latin books here. Our town is small, yes, but this is our main library." She offered a small smile. Her hand was now comfortable in his. Yet, she couldn't shake the awe of how Nicholas was so forward with his actions.
"How did you find out that yours is wind?"

Ashe finally stopped for a break, slumping into one of the park benches. This was interesting... he couldn't shake a constant feeling of being watched. Of course there were other people in the park but ever since this had happened he couldn't help being a little paranoid. He took the small red gem out of his pocket and started examining it closely. It wasn't the smartest thing to do but hey... he had no reason not to try to figure out exactly what it was.

"All of the spells I cast would come out as relevant to the wind element mainly. Oh, and also, the stones give some sort of super human powers other than casting spells too." Nicholas answered her quickly and chuckled. She was ever so curious. His gaze went from her face to the shelves and he tried to see what books the ones nearest to him were.

Abigail's face lit up with wonder. He knew so much already. Perhaps he sees the shadows too! Abigail opened her mouth, ready to say something, but quickly closed it again. She felt a pang of guilt for attacking Nicholas with so many questions. She figured she would save it for another time.
After a few seconds of silence, Abigail's free hand subconsciously flew to her neck; her fingers probing at her locket. With a determined demeanor Abigail turned on her heel and lead him to a separate section.

'She's certainly curious.' Nicholas thought and smiled at this. He went with Abigail and wondered where she was leading him. He glanced at the books around before looking at Abigail, tilting his head and smiling at her. "No more to say, Miss Abigail?" He spoke softly and chuckled. Her hand was getting warmer in his but he couldn't help but be more affectionate about it.

Abigail softly shook her head. "I have plenty." She smiled at Nicholas. "I figure since Latin is more of a dead language it should be under Reference. I might be wrong," Abigail paused, looking at several book cases. "It could very well be under Language..." She said to herself. Either way, she only hoped it would be there. Her face was shaped with worry. "Do you have any of those...super human powers?" Abigail decided to ask.

Mizuki gasped, a sharp intake of breath. Her leg had fleeting sense of pain, but it was gone in an instant. She paused in half-step. "What's wrong?" Moonsilver asked. "It's nothing." she said, and continued to walk. However, her eyes darted around quickly, having sensed another presence nearby.

Nicholas smiled and concentrated. Using his superior speed he disappeared from that spot, ran to the window, hit his hand through the glass before running back. He made it back before the sound of the glass breaking reached Abigail. Looking at his wounded hand he concentrated and all the cuts from the glass disappeared. "A couple." He said and smiled softly at Abigail before turning to the books on the shelves.

Abigail blinked in utter confusion as Nicholas seemed to disappear from her side and then return with the exact same speed as his disappearance. His hand was cut and quite grotesque. Abigail's lips quickly morphed into a frown. She was about to ask what happened when a loud crashing sound pierced through her thoughts. She gasped loudly and turned to Nicholas. The wounds on his hand were gone! Completely healed!
"A couple." He simply said and turned to look at the books as if nothing happened. Abigail was frightened. She wasn't afraid of Nicholas, no. But he caught her off guard. Her breathing was quickened, her heart pumping with adrenaline. She could only stare at the back of his head, completely in awe.

Nicholas took a step closer to the books and pulled one. Looking at it and some of the inside, it seemed to be a book about myths and legends and such related to Latin. He smirked and wondered if it spoke of the stones. Turning to Abigail eh looked at her in surprise before laughing softly and going over to hug her. "Oh, sorry. But you know you have special powers too." He spoke softly and smiled at her.

Abigail weakly nodded at his statement. She was still fazed by what he had done. "Well, yes. As far as elemental powers go, I'm unsure of what they are." She murmured. Abigail was never that big on myths and scary stories. Yet here she was: those very tales the basis of her new life.

Shivering, Emily looked around the building. Apparently, it had been abandoned before the changes of the world--it was broken down and empty. Except for a few boxes in the corner at the far side. There was one in particular, which was a different shade of brown from the others. Curious, she walked over to it, bent down, and examined it. It was tiny in comparison to the others. There was a lock on it, small, and frail-looking. She played with it for a moment. It was in the mists of her distraction, that she noticed something--the shape of the place which one placed a key into was the exact shape of a stone.
Without thinking about it, she found her stone, pulled it out and place it within the circle. For a moment, nothing happened--but just for a moment. A light shot up from the lock and dissapeared. Slowly, she looked up--and that's when everything around her started fading away. The once-clear images became twisted as they swirled back and forth. Turning back to the box, Emily took a long breath and as she slowly twisted it. It clicked loudly. She looked around--nothing had changed. She turned her attention to getting it open, now, which proved to be difficult. For a while she cried out in frustration, unable to pull it open. She took her stone from the lock and held it in her hand. ~What do I do, now?~, she asked it. It answered, ~The box is made of metal--bend it.~
Emily turned and looked in surprise. Her stone was right--the box was made of metal! Though she didn't know what it ment by "bend"...Cursing, she clenched her stone and said the first word which came to mind, " Carcer!" The box immediatly crushed itself. Emily looked surprised. There was a small hole in it, though...She bent over and grabbed the box, focusing on opening it. Once again, she said(lightly this time), " Carcer" and the box flew open.
Suddenly, the world around her dissapeared and was replaced by the greenest forest she had ever seen in her life. She stood up, the box on the ground, her stone in her hand. Looking around she shouted into the air, " Where am I? What happened?!

[ OOC: Haii! =] ] Tai gave a slight little frown as she saw the response of the girl. His hands fell to his sides, looking -if he could however be seen- like his arms had suddenly been shut down. He thought out this for a little while.
She had said that it was nothing. But it had been true in ways. That had just been a mere little flick of a finger. It seemed to not affect her at all when it came to the pain. She had paused in her walking for a slight moment, so most likely, he had hit her somewhere.
He looked down at her facial expression, examining it to see if she had her guard up. Her eyes, they were looking around. It seemed to him as if she expected there to be more attacks sooner or later on, like she could tell there was someone around just waiting to. It seemed like she was being cautious.
His expression quickly changed from the slight little frown into a widely grinning smile. "Here comes more..." he whispered in a soft song-like tone of voice. He raised his hand up once again, this time raising his right hand up as well and gave a little gentle flick with the index fingers of both hand.
