Sehnin's eyes grew worried. "Papa did bad?" she asked in a scared voice. "But ... but ... you're Papa! You can't do bad! I don't think you did bad."
She folded her arms across her chest and lay her head on Joruri's shoulder, her eyes watching her mother and her aunt suspiciously.
Ruque grinned at Joruri. "Hiya!" he said brightly. "I kind of remember seeing you before, but it was a long time ago ... you live you here now? It's kind of far from where we live, but maybe we can visit or something!"
Idhril was surprised when she learned why Niyana seemed so worried, but she couldn't help but smile, her eyes shining softly.
"I'm all right," she assured her sister-in-law softly, taking her hand between both of her own and rubbing it lightly. "Joruri has not forced me into anything ... it was I who asked him if he would be my mate ... I know I'm young, Niyana, but I love him ... more than I could ever express."
She paused thoughtfully, trying to decide how to continue.
"When I was growing up," she murmured finally, "my mother was ... shunned by her family, because she was different from them. She always made it very clear to us that we must never discriminate against someone because they're different. That teaching is one of the reasons why Celebor is allowed to love you ... my mother's family thinks he has done something very wrong by taking you as his mate, only for the fact that you are human. But Mother approves, because she knows that he loves you with all of his being."
Her smile grew wider. "And I feel the same for Joruri," she said softly. "I love him more than I could ever say. He is ... my other half, he makes me whole, he gives my life meaning. I am nothing without him."
She squeezed Niyana's hand gently, her eyes shining happily. "Sehnin was a surprise," she giggled. "We had not planned for a child, not so soon, nor had we expected one ... but the goddesses brought her to us, and so we are her parents. We were shocked, I have to be honest, but she is already so much a part of our lives that I can't imagine life without her anymore."

Joruri stroked Sehnin's hair and sighed, "Many people think your father's exsitance is bad.Daddy is not flesh and blood like you or mother...or even Ruque here...he is a doll that is living only becuase your mother wised to give him life and with just a word from her beautiful lips will silence Joruri forever. Just as he has not heart that beats and can not die unless the person who woke him wishes it."
He had to tell his daughter the truth sooner or later and even if she did not understand most of it now he would tell her it again if she asked. He then looked back down at Ruque and nods, "Yes Joruri is sure that Idhril would enjoy seeing you more often...though we might not be moving in here...we are wanting to find a good tree for a tree house."
Niyana looked at thier hands. "Idhirl he is a doll though...I mean does he even have the parts or feelings? I know he protects you and cares for you. But are you sure it is love? You know I only want you to be happy and I will support you two being together...but how could someone who has no experience as being human really care. I don't want to see you hurt dear sister."
She saw how Idhril smiled and was happy and nods, "Well I am very glad that the goddesses blessed you. And I will do every thing i can to help you two remain happy together. I know what your feeling I could not see myself without Celebor even if he spends more time away from me now adays."

Sehnin kept her chin on her father's shoulder and nodded thoughtfully, her eyes still fixed on Idhril and Niyana. She wanted to know what they were talking about, know why her aunt looked so anxious while Idhril just looked happy.
Ruque grinned at Joruri. "Maybe you can find a place near where we live," he suggested. "Then we can see you lots! That would make Papa happy, I bet. He says sometimes he wishes some of his family would visit us ... but I think maybe that's because he wants someone for me to play with."
Idhril smiled warmly at Niyana. "He may not be truly alive," she said softly, "but he has feelings as powerful as yours or mine. He loves me as much as I love him ... we are made for each other."
At Niyana's reassurances, Idhril giggled and took her hands back, throwing her arms around the taller woman and hugging her tightly.
"Thank you!" she said warmly. "It means a lot to me that you will support us ... though if Celebor is leaving you alone lately, I might have to yell at him for you."
She stood back again and winked at Niyana. "It's okay if he gets mad at me, I'm just his sister. Oh, that reminds me! Joruri and I are going to be living here, and we want to make a house in the trees, and we were hoping that you and Celebor could help us! I'm no good at building, and Joruri can't do it all alone, especially in the trees, and I don't want his strings to get caught again ... I don't want him to get hurt. Will you help us?"
And she gripped Niyana's hands tightly once more, eager and excited for her sister-in-law's response.

Joruri nods, "Yes maybe we can...do you know any large strong trees where you are? I am sure Idhril would love to have her brother close and you and your family. And I know Sehnin would be happy to play with you." He nods and looked over at his mate and her sister in law. "Well where were you and your mother heading Ruque?"
Niyana nods, "Maybe I still misjudge him." she said softly and wrapped her arms around Idhril holding her close. "I am very glad for you two. YOu deserve someone to love only you."
She watched the girl pull away and smiles, "Well I am sure that could be arranged I know Celebor will love having you close. There is a wonderful tree...that brought me and Celebor much happiness, I think it might be just the thing for you too. And Maybe seeing be sweat and work out might get Celebor back without having you need to yell at him too much." She laughed and held the elf's hands warmly.

Ruque had to think about that for a bit. Whenever he went out, he normally looked for herbs or fruit, and honestly, fruit trees generally weren't that big or strong.
"There's a willow tree where Mama gets our willow bark," he suggested finally. "It's pretty big ... and very strong ... and it's not too far from where we live. Maybe you can look at that one sometime and see if you like it."
He grinned. "And I'd love to play with Sehnin, too," he said brightly. "Mama and me were going ... well I don't know where exactly but somewhere with a nice cave and a stream and stuff so that she can train me a bit like my brother and sisters! They're up on the mountain with Corrah, and he's training them to be good woodelves, so Mama thinks I should learn a bit too!"
Idhril squeezed Niyana's hands gratefully, thankful that she didn't have to work too hard to convince her sister-in-law of Joruri's inner beauty and goodness.
"If my brother has been leaving you alone that much," she told Niyana solemnly, "he's going to be lectured, even if he does start spending more time at home with you."
She giggled then and hugged Niyana quickly, then tugged her back towards the others. "Come on, we should look at that tree and see if it will work for us! The cave is all well and good for now, but we're all so excited and looking forward to having a real house to call our own!"

Joruri listened to the boy his eyes moving back to watch him. "Woodelf? Joruri was unaware there were different kinds of elves...what would you be then?" he was very soft in his tone of voice and he was generally curious. "Well then I think this is the spot...this cave is very nice...and there is a stream just along the way. we can journey down there wail our mother and Idhril talk if you like."
Even though Niyana did not trust the doll she knew that there was nothing she could do to keep them apart. She really had no say...and it seemed that Elnara had accepted him so who was she to not?
Niyana smiles, "Well he comes home to sleep...but normally he goes out hunting...or to help in your world...maybe it is just to give me and Ruque time but still..." She watched Idhril try to drag her back and she let the subject drop. "I guess I can put off Ruque's physical training for the day."

Ruque grinned and walked along with Joruri willingly, eager to see the stream his mother had told him about.
"Well I'm just an elf," he blushed softly, "but someday I'm gonna be a healer elf! Woodelves are just elves that are good in the woods ... tracking, fighting, hunting ... that kind of stuff. We're just kind of named after what we do, I guess ... or where we live."
He giggled. "Maybe I'm a cave elf!"
Sehnin was startled when they started moving, but she turned in her father's arms to watch the scenery as they passed. She had never been outside of the cave before - having been born in there only very early that morning - and she was eager to see what lay beyond the confines of her home.
Idhril knew Celebor wouldn't leave Niyana alone unless he had a good reason, but she made a note to herself to ask her brother what was going on the next time she saw him.
"Physical training?" she asked Niyana curiously. "Like the kind that the other children are doing?"
Why hadn't Ruque joined his siblings on the mountain, then?

Joruri nods, "Oh I see...well that makes sense." He nods, "I am sure you will be a fine healer...your grandmother is and I know Idhril has some healing ability. So I am sure you will be the one of your family." He guided them to the stream that was not too far, it was closer than the lake that Celebor and Niyana used.
"Well yes by your definition then you would be a cave elf for now."
NIyana shakes her head. "No not really. He is learning cooking and cleaning at home. But I thought I would bring him out to get some defensive training. Just some relaxing movements and stuff to get excersize into his routine.

Ruque followed Joruri to the stream, listening intently to Joruri as he spoke. He was already growing quite fond of his uncle ... he liked learning things, and Joruri had a lot to teach him.
"I didn't know Grandmama was a healer," he murmured, his eyes wide and thoughtful. "Or Aunt Idhril ..."
He grinned broadly. "Maybe I will be a great healer someday, just like Mama is!"
Sehnin lay her head on Joruri's shoulder once more as they approached the stream, her indigo and golden eyes glowing softly. She liked the way it looked ... so pretty ... and it sounded so beautiful ... the trickling of the water over the rocks was like music to her ears, and she knew that the water was something that she would love.
Idhril nodded thoughtfully at Niyana.
"He must be very intelligent then," she murmured with a smile, "if he's learning healing. It's very tricky ... I was only able to learn the basics. Of course, it's hard to learn from Mama because she heals by magic, but still ..."
She smiled at Niyana. "Perhaps he can help with the building of our house," she suggested. "I'm sure that would help to get him some exercise, as well as make him stronger. Besides, if nothing else, I'm sure Sehnin would enjoy having someone nearer her own age around to play with."

Joruri smiles, "Well Idhril heals with her medical treatment. But her mother has healing magic. Joruri sets Sehnin down gently near the water and knelt with her watching her. "Joruri know you will do well...you have the same feel as Idhril's mother."
Niyana nods, "Yes I am sure he could keep Sehnin amused and they can work well together as well as both help us." She laughed warmly. "We have such a wonderful large family." She saw finally as Idhril moved a bit ahead of hear. "Oh my god...Idhril what happen to your head?" She reached her hand out gently to move the hair aside.

Sehnin smiled brightly at Joruri, blushing softly at his words, and as he set her down she ran over to the water and squatted at its side, sticking one finger into it and swishing it around gently.
"It's so pretty," she murmured softly, her eyes glowing brightly.
Ruque followed Sehnin over to the stream and sat next to her in the wet dirt of the bank. He slipped his sandals off and put them on the ground behind him, then stuck his feet into the cool water.
"Come with us, Uncle Joruri!" he called brightly. "It feels really nice!"
Idhril had just about forgotten about the injury on her head - the pain from it was gone, and she had been having a wonderful and distracting day - but all of a sudden, at Niyana's reminder of it, she felt some pain returning once more .... but whether it was from the actual wound or the memory itself, she didn't know.
She felt a slight panic rising in her chest, and she pulled her hair back in front of the wound, trying to hide it, clenching her eyes closed tightly.
"Nothing," she said quickly, stopping in her tracks and lowering her chin slightly.
Had it been almost anyone else, she would have told Niyana ... but she couldn't turn her sister-in-law against her own son ...

Joruri was a bit taken back by being called uncle. He felt a soft blush burn his cheeks. "As you wish." he pulled his controller up and allowed it to hang on his back where it seemed to hoover there a bit so he would not drag it in the mud then he walked with his soft graceful steps towards the shore. At least he was not afraid of water anymore, thanks to Idhril and earlier that day.
Niyana watched the reaction of Idhril's body and that brought fresh worry to her. "Idhril a wound like that is not nothing...it needs to be cleaned...if Joruri did this to you then you need to let someone know...hiding something like this inside of you will not help you. Idhril if someone attacked you please let me know."
She reached out and took ahold of Idril's hand. "I saw before that Joruri's shirt if torn rather bad...someone did attack you didn't they? Idhril...please let me help you."

Sehnin smiled brightly up at Joruri as he moved to join them, and she shuffled over a bit so that he could sit next to her.
"It's nice and warm," she told him eagerly, holding up her wet finger as if to show him. "Feel it, Papa!"
Ruque wiggled his toes around, looking at them and grinned. It felt nice, soaking his feet like that, after a walk such as the one he and his mother had taken to get there. He hoped they could stay for a while.
Idhril shook her head stubbornly.
"Joruri didn't do this," she said firmly. "He would never hurt me ... it would kill him to hurt me."
She averted her eyes as if afraid that they would reveal the truth to Niyana. "You're better off not knowing ... it's just a scrape, it'll heal. I'll be fine."
She tried to take her hand back from Niyana's, but her sister-in-law's grip was too strong.

Joruri turned feeling Idhril starting to panic and thinking maybe Ruran had returned. He looked around then at the sound of his daughter's voice and smiles to reach out and touch her finger. "Yes it is warm." he moved to sit next to Ruque. "Seems your cousin enjoys it too."
Niyana held Idhril's hand gently but firmly. The panic of her young sister showed it was not nothing. "NO it is not just a scrape Idhril...it is a deep gash...and looks like it needed and still needs one or two stitches. I care bout you how am I better off not knowing what happen to you. Idhril please calm down and just tell me."

Ruque smiled at Joruri, still wiggling his toes back and forth.
"It's warmer than the stream near where we live," he murmured. "I bet it's nice to take baths here. Baths in our stream always make me shivery."
He wondered it he would be bathing himself now that he had grown. Probably.
Idhril stopped struggling, but she still refused to look up at Niyana.
"You can stitch it up if you want," she said softly, her tone defeated, "but ... please ... just trust me when I say it's better you don't know."
She only hoped that Niyana would not ask Joruri ... she didn't know if he would tell or not, and though she knew in her heart that telling Niyana what had happened would be the right thing to do, she didn't want to be responsible for breaking her brother's family apart. Or was it her that they would no longer want to associate with? Would they even believe her? Or would they just accuse her of making up stories?
