Rusty tried his best to shrink back, then somewhat relaxed. If Vic wanted to hurt him, he could do so. It wouldn't be any different than anything else.

Vic pulled his hand away. Erk. He always forgot about the...imposing size thing.

"Let me letcha in on a little secret," Vic said, leaning in close and conspiratorially. His breath smelled of coffee and mint.
"Shiloh? God ain't gonna let him break. He was made too strong. You can't break him if you tried!"

Rusty shuddered, leaning against Vic suddenly. He was cold, Vic, and he didn't care anymore.
"But... But it'th..." He shook his head, eyes closing. Oh, Vic. He just couldn't.

Vic held Rusty, giving the top of his head a fatherly kiss.

Rusty murmured something, eyes red and still tearing up, resting against his chest. This.. This was nice. He felt... Safe.
"Dunno." He mumbled. "Thcared."

Vic smiled.
"Don't be scared," he said, "Just remember. God is with you." Another little kiss and e pulled away a bit, putting his hands to Rusty's cheeks. His mercy began to work and, mercifully, the damage wasn't showing in this form. However, back at home, his body was bleeding fairly badly from the face, and his skin was paling.

Rusty's eyes closed, his tiny hands reaching up to lay over Vic's.
"I... I'm okay?" Rusty whispered, finally sounding okay. "I'm okay?" He asked.

Vic smiled.
"Mmhm," he said softly, "You're okay." And he held Rusty's hand a moment. And then? Then he wasn't there any more.

Rusty sat there, shuddering, his arms up around his shoulders. He was confused, terribly so, but laid back down.
For just a minute.
His belly was begging him for food.
Looking to Shiloh, Rusty bit his lip and slowly extracted himself from the blankets, shuffling towards the kitchen.

A minute or two later, Shiloh shuffled up behind him.
"I'm so glad to see you awake." His voice was sleepy, but happy.
