Yuki smiled at him. I can eat food... Can't I? Yes... But it will be gross... She nodded softly. "I would love to get something to eat." As long as I get something small... She thought. Smiling her brilliant smile she spoke softly. "Care to lead the way?" She asked softly.

"uum..sure." John said still very nervously. He started to walk toawrds the small diner down the street. "So, how long have you lived here?" He asked trying to make small talk.

Yuki walked slowly beside him taking in his scent. It was still heavenly but she kept her focus on eating human food. Blech. She looked at him. He was really handsome for a human. She smiled as she walked with him. "I just moved here. Last year I believe. How about you?" She asked smiling at him again.

"me?...well i've lived here for..well ever since the 'incident'." John shuddered a little remembering it. "So..i guess most of my life." They walked in silence the rest of the way. "Well, here we are." We opened and held the door for yuki. They walked over to one of the tables and sat down. A waitress came for their drink orders. 'I'll just have water." John answered then looked at yuki to see what she would get.

Yuki turned her head and looked at John. Just water? She smiled. "Nothing for me thanks." She smiled at John. He was stunning for a human. Looking at him with her smile she wanted to just... She stopped the thought. "You really should eat something." She said to him.

"I'm not all that hungry. I'm ussually not." He shifted uneasily. ...should i get something?...nah..why does she keep smiling at me?...hmm maybe she likes me?..or maybe she's just trying to be nice?

Yuki smiled more and leaned a little foreward. She let her pure white teeth gleam at him. "Neither am I. Nor do I ever sleep." She smirked but pulled back when the waitress came and gave him his water. She looked away. What did this human have that others didn't....

"Thank you", he said as the waitress brought him water. He sipped it every once in a while. "So, how old are you if you don't mind me asking?" John felt his phone vibrate. "Oh, will you excuse me for just one second please." John walked over to the bathrooms and went into the boys bathroom. he answered it "Hello? Oh hey!" It was his sister.

James walked over to Yuki's table and sat down in the boy's seat. "Well, hello, dear Yuki. I've been looking for you everywhere. I've been gone for 6 months and you become human?" James joked mockingly. James leaned back in the chair and smiled sarcasticly at her.

Yuki watched as John left. She frowned a little. She knew that her fellow brother was there. "Hello James." She smiled at him. "And no. I am not human..." She leaned in speaking softly. No human would hear her. "James... This human... He smells better than any other human.... I can't help it... But i want him..." She looked away sadly. "Tell me this has happened to you..." She looked over at him.

James smiled. "I was merely joking with you, sister. I don't think its possible for us to ever go back." James turned around and looked at the door. "I was merely stating the fact that you were acting human." James turned back around and looked at Yuki. "Please, sister. I'm not foolish enough to fall for a mortal. I say, if you want him, take him. If he likes you enough, he'll come reluctantly." James laughed. His laugh was bone chilling. James was the thoughts on a typical vampire. Cold, harsh, creepy, and selfish. But, he wasn't always like that. He was very protective of Yuki. And he had fallen in love once, with a mortal. His name was Jack. But, he died in a fire. James felt the sorrow's, but he quickly recovered. "Don't worry, Yuki. The want for his blood means that you are in love with him. But, watch yourself. Humans have a way of hurting us." James turned back to the bathroom door in mid sentence. It began to open. "This is where I take my leave. Goodbye, my sister, dear. I will be back when this rat has left us." James stood and walked out of the diner and to the nearest alley, across the street. He jumped up the roof of the building acrossed the street, where he stood to keep a watchful eye on his sister.

Yuki, being telepathic knew that James didn't go far. Brother... I think I'll take him... She sent him the message and sat back in the seat waiting for John to return. She liked him. But love? She hadn't felt love for almost 305 years.... But for some reason she felt close to him. James was right. Love is what she felt. She would have to tell John what she was. And she would protect him. Thats what she would do.

John emerged from the bathroom shortly after. He cassually walked over to their tabel and sat back down. "Sorry about that, my sister decided she had to tell me about her day..." John rolled his eyes. "Do you have any siblings to annoy you liek mine?"

Yuki smiled and nodded. "Its okay. I have a brother. He tends to be more protective over me. And some what annoying." She knew that James would hear that. "But I love him." She also knew he would hear that. Taking a breath she inhaled John's scent. "John... Do you want to go walk on the beach... I want to talk to you about something..." She said softly.
