Nat furrowed his brow, suddenly realizing soemthing very important. "Teagan...you deserve that happiness... and I know a wonderful girl like you will find it..." He furrowed his brow, leaning over to kiss her cheek gently. But I can't be the one to give it to you...

She wanted to have the bitter words drip out of her like poison drawn from a wound. She wanted to say, But not from you, Nat, right? Because deep down, Teagan still knew that this happiness and togetherness was only temporary, because she wasn't worth him staying on Druis.
And yet just as quickly as those thoughts came, they were replaced by the stubborn hope that she would have the ability to change him. He would fall in love with her and stay with her. It was unrealistic for her to leave with him, so in romantic logic, her plan was the only one that could work.
"I know I have," she said to break the awkward silence that had caved in around them. "I really have nothing to complain about. Everything's in the past, and I just have to let go."

Nat sighed, not sure what to say to that. he merely hugged her a bit tighter for a moment, looking back up to the stars. "There's nothing wrong in hurting... we've all got our problems from the past... its ok and healthy to grieve over them and too be sad. You dont have to give up what shapes you. Just ... dont let it control you. It's all about balance..."
Though what a joke! Nat of all people, preaching about keeping it balanced? He was hung up on his own past far too much to be balanced. If anything, he was an extremist. Either completely there or completely gone. There was no middle ground with him. Oh the irony of it all stung a bit.

"Unresolved things... kind of misshape you, I think." Only the matter with her parents was unresolved. Everything else just hurt.
Teagan gave him a brave smile regardless of that thought. "But you're right. Balance. Though what are we, Nat. Are we balanced, or just enjoying this strange ride we're on?"

Nat smiled to himself, leaning over to kiss her randomly. "I suppose. Yes I've been doing that for quitesome time. But sometimes you can be both balanced and enjoy life... apparently I'm the only one out of my friends to realize this though..." He sighed thinking about Raquel and all his former friends from Veratia. They had all, in some way or another, risen above the filth, if just barely, and had settled down in their own ways. Some had gotten married, some had landed a legit job, some went back to school. It was just them all getting older and wiser, while Natty was left in the dust of his childhood...
He frowned with these ideas but kept silent, looking back up tot he stars again. Mostly focusing on the one he knew was veratia.

"Life isn't always about enjoying it. Not when you have jobs to do just to get by. But aren't we all doing that?" Teagan took his hand again, and felt safe in the dark under all the watching stars.

Nat sighed, his smile fading slightly. "...Everywhere...and nowhere...."He frowned slightly, his eyes traveling to various stars he knew for a fact he'd visited. He had traveled all over and seen so many things but...
...Why didn't he feel accomplished?

Teagan didn't know how to interpret that. Had he been to different worlds, but had not seen the best parts of them?
"Well, promise me that you'll see what Druis has to offer, alright? So you won't leave with any regrets..."
But the way Teagan said it was almost as if he'd never be leaving. Like it was a joke that he could even consider it.

Nat said nothing for a moment, but glanced to her, taking her form in the pale moonlight. "...Yeah...no regrets..." He sighed softly, furrowing his brow as he sat up. "Hey...Teagan....?" He looked down, picking at the grass a moment before looking up at the sky again. "It's...getting late. Maybe we should head back?" He gave her a small smile, though waited to see if she agreed before he stood.

Strange, she thought. He'd been the one who didn't want to go home so badly, and then he was the one proposing that they should head back. But, he was right, and so she nodded and stood up from her grassy pillow.
"Time to head back... this was nice. If there's anything else you want to see or do, just set up a date. Alright?"
It was so confusing to figure out just what they were to each other. A couple? People who just liked kissing and holding hands? Teagan wasn't even sure herself how she felt about Nat, but her heart told her to stay close.

Nat smiled half heartedly, nodding as he too stood and held out his hand to her. He led her back to where they left the bike and offered her the handlebars once again. "Can I give you a ride back to your house or...?" He wasn't sure if she had any plans or anything, but would take her home, then tell her his thoughts that had been accumulating in his mind for some time.

"Yeah, sure." Teagan sat upon the handlebars and hung the food on the right one so her hands could be free to hold her skirt. There was something melancholy about Nat now that the night was over. But, she wouldn't pry. They just had to get back home safely in the dark, which was enough of a journey.

Finally after what felt like forever, the group of young people arrived on the lush green planet of Druis. Richard's mother had promised she'd make it on time, deciding to get her own ride to this planet so that Richard or Enty wouldn't have to shuttle her back so early.
Richard had been pretty silent, his thoughts traveling and swimming around the idea of the wedding as Enty helped him pilot when he seemed to distracted to.
Raquel had fallen asleep next to Damian, her head resting gently on his shoulder, her hand holding his, hiding that beautiful engagement ring on her finger. She had almsot forgotten it was on there, since it just felt so right, but she still wanted to try to keep things quite for now, so that the excitement wouldn't be taken away from the wedding.
"Well...we're here..." Richard clasped his hands together and turned to look at everyone else, though his eyes rested on Loreys.

Damian turned his head to kiss the top of Raquel's.
"Raquel, we're here," he said softly with a small nudge of his shoulder. "Time to wake up and see the world."
The green around him was so strange and wonderful, and he hoped Raquel would be just as excited to see it, too.
Lorey was practically buzzing in her seat. This was it, they were here! Once the door was opened, the clean air filled her lungs again. Such a change from Veratia, she thought. Going back one last time before the wedding made her see the differences even more, and love them more as well.
"Let's go home!" she said to Richard.

Raquel blinked a few times, sitting up with a slight stretch as she rubbed her eyes tiredly. "Hm..wha- Oh...Oh my..." She looked out the window, gasping slightly as she gripped Damian's hand slightly. She couldn't see much, but what she did see was bright and green and happy. "Damian..." She breathed, not able to blink hardly.
Richard meanwhile laughed and nodded to Lorey, looking out at the landing pads to see if Teagan or nat had come to greet them. "In due time love. I cant wait for you to see how nice it is..." He smiled, wanting her approval of the repairs.
