Gracie paused in front of him stepping from foot to foot. "It's not hard... See you just do this, but keep in mind it looks better if it's done to music."
She just did a dance she'd seen on some carameldansen videos on the computer. She didn't do the full hare hare yukai dance. It was just the one where you swish your hips side to side with your hands in the air.

Eric couldn't help but snicker. She looked funny. "You should do that move often, it really shows off your nice body." he said as he watched her.

Gracie just giggled and then bounced up in front of him, her tail swirling upwards behind her.
"So.. you wanna play dance dance revolution? It's a video game. and when the music plays.. they put up arrows. and we step on the arrows when they hit the top of the screen. It'll be fun. and you should do it with me."
She looked at him innocently but fervent with the determination to make sure he didn't wanna leave.

Eric laughed. "I know what D.D.R. is, I haven't been living under a rock you know. Sure, I'll play." he said as he tapped her nose.

If it wasn't evident from the huge smile she had at that, she was beyond delighted he was gonna play with her. She went to take his hand to lead him to the other room where they could play at. She subtly tried to move her other hand to cover the spot on her chest where her heart would be. It seemed to her like her heart was beating a little too fast. That sensation made her curious.

Eric followed her smiling. "You O.K.?" he asked as he saw her cover her heart. "So where's the system?" he asked, not waiting for an answer. He wanted to help her set it up if it wasn't already set up.

"Oh yeah... I'm perfectly OK!"The fact he asked must have meant that he was paying attention to how she was acting. She instantly both liked and disliked this. She liked it; it was feeding into a larger unestablished feeling she was getting from being around him that day.
She also disliked it for the same reason. She wasn't sure what that meant. She hadn't really had enough experience thus far to figure where the line was between just enjoying someone's company and liking them a little more than that.
When they got into the room, the ps2 was already hooked up, but the dance mats weren't attached. Gracie skipped over to the little closet where she was sure they'd be at. She had gotten to know that pretty well. She pulled 2 dance mats out of the closet victoriously.

Eric took one of the mats and hooked it up. Then he stepped back and looked at Gracie. "So what difficulty do you want to do?" he asked her. He failed to mention that he had never played D.D.R. before.

She gave a very silly smile. "OH. I only play on easy." Then, she laughed and giggled. "I'm not that good at it. I just do it for fun. The music on it is great."
After a moment when she had been making sure everything was ready to go, she turned to look at him. "I'm so glad I ran into you today. This has been so not boring. Maybe you'll be one of my new favorite people to spend time with."

Eric smiled. "That's fine with me, I already know I like spending time with such a pretty kitty." he said with a wink. Then he stepped on his mat and looked at the screen. "So which one shall we do?" he asked.

She felt a slight blush on her cheeks. She did feel rather flattered. She told herself to calm down. "Um... Oh.. I like this one... This song is killer awesome! Speed Over Beethoven!" She pushed a few buttons on the mat already knowing what to do. Her eyes peeked out at him feeling so exalted between the feeling of someone wanting to hang out her and the feeling of someone being so nice and catering to her. He really was a very likeable guy.

Eric smiled at her and then looked at the screen. He watched the arrows as they rose to the top. Soon he was stepping on the corresponding blocks on the mat.

Gracie just happily fluttered about on her mat. Every so often, her eyes glancing over to watch Eric. Not just to see how he was doing, but to watch his overall movement. She tried her utmost best to be subtle. This was much easier to control her feelings and reactions to him this way, being mostly distracted. Then, she narrowed her eyes trying to step more accurately and focused after her mind wondered what feelings and reactions. Obviously there were none!! She kept telling herself; there were none.

Eric wasn't doing very well, he had never played this game before. He thought it would be easy. He began to grumble a bit at his pitiful score. "This thing is harder than it looks." the fox said as he missed another step. He glanced at Gracie's score and wasn't surprised that she was beating him.
