"Hmm, favorite class? Uh it's so hard to choose but it would have to be Astronomy. I just love seeing what is out there and learning about what affect the planets have in magic." As Amelia was sitting there she began to feel a little sick. It seemed the fumes were getting to her and now her stomach was beginning to hurt. Reaching into her bag, Amelia pulled out a mint and popped it into her mouth. "How's the potion going for you guys?" ......

Moira shot Seth a grateful look. She fingered the bottle gently. Good as new, of course. Moira always counted her blessings when it came to magic. She didn't know how Muggles could do it. Slowly, she spooned her potion into the bottle, careful not to let any spill over the side. When it was full, she placed it in the center of the table, as not to make the same mistake twice. She turned herself to face Seth and said,"I haven't started the Defense Against the Dark Arts class yet, this is my first of the day. But I'm interested to see what the class will bring this year." Looking to Amelia this time, Moira gestured at her bottle, "It looks ok. And it didn't explode. So..I guess we'll see."

"My favorite class would probably be either Herbology or...potions. Both of them affect my future as an alchemist." He said as he started to flip through his pages casually so that the pages would make loud sounds as they turned. He sighed as he thought of the work he had to do later on, he just hoped that it wouldn't be to much. "The Herbology teacher tends to give a lot of homework though...but it's good for me." With that he closed his book and left it alone. "Potions for me? Great, so far at least." He let his mind wander about different things from how his mom is doing to how his father is doing and so on. "I wonder why neither have them responded to my letters yet? It's very unusual. I don't think they've ever done that before. But it's best not to tread on such topics." He could tell himself not to think about it all he wanted but his facial expressions told it all. There was evidence that something was bothering him and if you couldn't tell by his face then you probably could by the way his mind kept wandering off and away from the conversation. He swallowed hard before sighing and opening his book again. He flipped through the pages until he found a small picture about how to make common objects into food. He leaned his head on one hand as he read through the contents and waited for someone to say something.

Seth eyed his potion again. Its steam was rising in unnaturally thin, long tendrils. His teeth showed in something that once may have been considered a smile. "Perfect." He siphoned his potion into his bottle, stoppered it firmly and set it on his desk. He strode to the stone gargoyle sink and washed his hands carefully, and then immediately started patting himself down, almost frantically. Finally he hit a spot in his robes that crackled. "Thank god." Seth popped a sherbet lemon in his mouth and sighed contentedly. Seth was utterly addicted to the Scottish fizzy candies.

"What's up Xurdion? You seem kind of distracted." Amelia said turning to the boy sitting next to her. Waiting for his reply, Amelia began to think about what Xurdion said about Herbology. 'Hm, what does he mean? Professor Simon doesn't give a lot of homework atleast not last year. I guess it's just matter of opinion.' [( I dont know it's up to you.)]

Moira yawned quietly, and rose from the stool. She shook her long red curls from her face and took up her bottled potion. It's time to see whether or not this completely and utterly fails. While she was rather good in potions, last year was tough for her. She was hoping this year's class would be better. So far, the students were nice, some were fun even! And she was glad to have a class with Judas. Slowly, Moira moved towards the teacher's desk, the bottle of potion grasped firmly in her hands. It wouldn't do to explode any more glass today.

Sezer, having remained inconspicuous, or he hoped so, up until this point, for he was lost deep in his musings and tended to turn invisible when he was doing so. He licked his dry lips and set about with his elixir, reading the instructions once, twice, three times and setting about with his work. When he was on his third step, the bit about crushing the moonstone, he frowned at his spoonful, dissatisfied. For it was too full. With a frown marring his features, he took the spoon and placed over the container of crushings, ran his finger along the top of the spoon, and evened it out. Once he was finished, he glanced at it critically, giving it a somewhat satisfied nod after a moment. It wasn't perfect, but it'd do. Then he began to pour it in slowly, as instructed. He then took extra care to turn the ladel counter-clockwise. He hadn't had any sort of potion blow up on him yet, not even the Felix Flexis in his sixth year, a harder potion, and he was about to let a less complicated potion by comparison spontaneously implode.
Next his essence of euphoria was added, after he decided that it was quite likely this measurement was well enough, as he was fairly certain Professor Krousu had done it himself, and he, thus, decided to trust his judgement. Though Sezer was good at pretty much every subject, Divination and Quidditch aside, he excelled at nothing quite like Transfiguration. And, blessed youth, that was next.
He carried on with his potion.
(I hope this is okay. I edited it a bit so it's less god-mody. I hope it's better. x3)

Seth corked his bottle of potion and set it on the teacher's desk, mentally recounting the instructions in his mind and trying to remember anything he may have left out. Finding nothing, he breathed a deep sigh and walked back to his desk. "How'd everyone do?" He rubbed his temples, wincing. Potions always gave him a headache.

Resting her bottle gently on the desk, and not near an edge, Moira sighed. Relief washed through her. She had always been on edge after a potion. She always wanted to know how she did. She practically skipped back to her table and flopped down. "Hard telling, but it looked good to me. What about you Seth? Confident?" Although she had only met him today, Moira had decided that he was one of those people who were very sure of themselves. Her stream of conciousness brought her to Sebastian. She hadn't heard a word from him in some time. Peeking into her robe pocket, she could see him curled up and sleeping within. She patted the frog softly and set about watching the rest of the class finish up.

Stepping into the classroom like the walking dead, Ascella clenched her hand around her sleeve. Her eyes were directly forward, not dashing towards the movement or the group of students talking. Ascella took a seat near the door, not venturing any farther into the room. Looking up at the board, Ascella read the instructions without an ounce of expression on her face. However, if someone was to really look at her, they would see a glimpse of regret in her expression filled eyes. As a kid her mother always told her that her eyes gave away what she was really feeling. 'Your face may be straight, but your as guilty as you can get.' Ascella took a deep, soft breath, trying to forget everything that was on her mind and focus on the only thing she was good at. Taking out the cauldron, she set it over a nice fire, using a spell under her breath to fill it with water. Continuing with the potion, Cella got all of the ingredients from under the counter, placing them next to-but not close enough to get burnt-the cauldron. organizing the ingredients in the order she was to use them, Ascella kept herself busy, attempting to ignore all of the other students in the room.

Moira's eye caught a Slytherin entering the room, but couldn't place her. Inwardly, she ran through names of people that had been at the table that morning. A! A..something. Oh bloody hell, I know it. Ariel? No. Asc..Ascella!..? Maybe. A frowned crossed her lips, changing her otherwise pleasing features. She had a fairly good memory, except for names. She continued to watch for a minute, before turning her attention back to the students around her. She peeked over at Morgan, trying to see how far along she had gotten. "How is it then?" She smiled. If she could keep Morgan civil to her, she would certainly feel a lot better. That girl was intimidating. Waiting for her reply, Moira picked imaginary lint from her Gryffindor sweater.

Morgan didn't look up from her cauldron upon hearing another student enter the classroom. Far too busy to be bothered at the moment, Morgan counted off the last few counter clockwise stirs, ending up her potion. After the 17th stir she looked to Moira. "Done, actually." Returning the other girls smile with a small one of her own, she scooted off the stool to fetch the proper sea glass container for the potion. Returning with it moments later, the red head carefully began spooning the finished potion inside it. "How is yours?" As far as Gryffindors went, Moira was surprisingly pleasant to be around. Morgan didn't like to believe in the house prejudices but sometimes it's hard when the other houses are generally united against you.

"Out of my hands now I suppose." Moira gestured to the teachers desk where her bottle sat, among a few others. She wasn't worried about how it would turn out, she had faith in her potion abilities. Most always. She glanced around the room again. How long is this class meant to be? I forgot my watch this morning. Moira plucked at a long strand of golden red hair and began twirling it around her finger. She wished she didn't have to go to Care of Magical Creatures. She turned to Morgan again. "How long is this class? I meant to send out an owl quick to my brother, I was hoping to have time before my next." Quickly she realized she was rambling, and closed her mouth.

Sezer finished up his potion right splendidly, tapping his fingers rythmically against the desk as he waited for the professor to dismiss them. Because he was Sezer and he did Sezer-like things. And, also because he was Sezer and he did Sezer-like things, he looked up at the Potions Professor curiously, almost as if trying to discern whether he had something else to do. Maybe he'd be able to persuade her to give him next week's homework, he could get ahead. As it was never to early to get ahead in one's assignments. His fellow Ravenclaw's words flowed through his head at that moment.
"'Spoken like a true Ravenclaw, Sezer.'"
And, though it was very un-Sezerlike to drift off even the tiniest bit in class, he decided it didn't count, since he was done and it was thoroughly the beginning of the year, so they couldn't be expecting any exams or anything. He smirked at her words.
'You better believe it, Vlaityn.'
