Gothic Sephiroth 671 ok update on my jobs Thf=23 War=22 Blm=21 Monk=20 Rdm=14 Whm=13 18 days 17 hours 55 minutes of gameplay and still no lvl 30 /cry You're spreading yourself too thin. Just focus on 1 job til you get 30 then find some high levels to help with some advance job quests unless you only want DRK or RNG or BST or something. Don't even try NIN or DRG on your own... that's suicide.... personally I would get WAR or THF cuz other than that only WHM is useful on job flag quests and that's your lowest..... unless you want to hit the beginning of Valkurm... again.

Okay, I haven't checked gaia since the last time I posted in this thread... heh, my bad. I've got 8 days playtime now, 30war, 2/3 moghouse expansions, 6/6 gobbybags, all advanced jobs unlocked except summoner... hmm, that about sums it up. So what's up?

well i got married in game but she left the server and it saddens me crying but some good news, i got a piece of my shade armor, btw update
thf=25
war=22
blm=21
mnk=21
rdm=14
whm=14
i been crafting a lot too, i got my cooking skill to lvl 26 and i am working on farming to get some money so i can continue so i have halted lvling for the moment, and the stinging sophie really sucks, wont ever spawn when im around
oh yeah 23 days of gameplay, and again no lvl 30 /cry

^ yeah, sorry about leaving guys, but it just started taking too much time that i didn't have...even now over christmas holidays, i'm working so much i barely have time to do anything but sleep...
i really wish i could get back into the game though, it was awesome!

I'm thinking about jumping back onto FFXI.... I just need to muster the time and financial stability to do so. don't know where the hell I'll find that though. sweatdrop

I don't play only because I don't have a job, and I can't afford it. I also don't like the fact that if you're off for more than 3 months your character is deleted. What if you just wanted a break?!?!?!

What if you just wanted a break?!?!?! Not deleted just set as inactive...you have to pay more to get it back though...thats what im doing

FFXI Online has been out for a couple years actually...
I played for over a year when it first came out. It was before there was such a thing as powerleveling and high level help was extremely hard to find. So, most things I did alone or with people my own level.
I quit when alot of other people did, once powerleveling really became a problem. The game just became too easy at lower levels and at higher levels there were too many people who couldn't play their job efficiently or correctly because they had been powerleveled all the way.
Many people tried to defend powerleveling and explain it's benefits, but I thought it was a load of crap. Powerlevelling makes bad players. In my opinion, the quality of players dropped dramatically from the time I started to the time I quit.
Even in the beginning levels, there are important skills you learn to play your job well. If you die alot, you should try a new strategy. That's what makes a good player. There was a time when you saw a level 60 or above character and you knew they knew what they were doing.... now it's doubtful.
If you want my advice, do as much as you can on your own, no matter how much you die. The victory will be sweeter and in the end, you'll be the player everyone wants to invite, because they know you can handle your own. Take it from a 75 DRG.

I got a Taru named Cooncon on the Fenrir server. He is currently 40 whm/ 34 blm/ 20smn. I started playing when it came out on the PS2, about 2 years ago. Though I haven't played for quite some time. But I still have my account, actually, I have 2 accounts. I was part of a really cool Linkshell group called "Taru Stars of Destiny" but it fell apart when the leader make a 50+ LS for doing high level stuff, nobody ever comes on Tarus Star, which makes it harder to play now. But it was a lot of fun when Taru Stars was at it's peak, we had a bunch of people in it, all Tarus (LS requirement) and we would have raffles and gather and dance and what have you. I have a site with screenshots up if anyone wants to check it out, there some images of a LS gathering we had, not many people showed up, it got bigger than that before, and also some screenshots of when I was getting my summonings. Also the images are big so it may take a while for the page to load, or it might crash your comp if it's not good enough. FFXI screenshotsI would really like to play more, but I just dont have the time.
