:cuddles it, adding to her collection of lacerations: It's called the Desert Flower. But... I tried to name it that in French. That being a long time ago, when I knew nothing of French (whereas now I know next to nothing), I'm getting a sneaking suspicion that I messed up. Oh well, it still owns my soul.

YEAH!

I love my new sword so much.
It's a 43" katana but with an extra long handle (a whole foot long!). The blade is folded steel and pretty damn heavy (this guy is built for power). The sheath is black and white sharkskin, which completely rocks my socks off! There are two hidden blades in the sheath. The fittings (including the concealed blades) are gilt with gold and silver patterning.
It dates back to World War 2 but is still in brilliant condition.

Forgive the book in the photo; The sword was newly oiled and would have ruined my sheets if I hadn't kept the blade off them.
