-The Gray Legend- Zombicide Crimson Rukasu Zombicide Crimson Rukasu Zombicide Metal has been completely ignored in this thread. I can probably appreciate metal better than others. Though I'm admittedly not a huge fan... I am a HUGE rock/metal fan. So I have a TON of songs to nominate. No links; too lazy to hunt them down. Some of these songs might offend people. Just a little warning. Here's my starter list: Angel of Death- Slayer (my personal favorite song) Caught in a Mosh- Anthrax Welcome to the Jungle- Guns N' Roses Holy Diver- Dio Powerslave- Iron Maiden Rust in Peace, Polaris- Megadeth Black Metal- Venom Kings of Metal- Manowar Rise- Pantera Practice What You Preach- Testament Painkiller- Judas Priest Symbolic- Death Smoke On the Water- Deep Purple I was thinking maybe we can do a best/worst songs list for each genre instead of making one absolute Best Song Ever. What do you guys think of that idea? And what do you think of my list (I tried to nominate only one song from each band to shorten the list since I wasn't sure how many nominees I can post)?

I like that idea, Zombicide.
As for your list, like I said, I'm not a huge fan of metal (the scream in the intro of Angel of Death freaked me out a little, because it was literally a scream), but I can get into some Guns N' Roses and some Iron Maiden (Run to the Hills, anyone?). Smoke on the Water is awesome too.
My list stands as this:
Metalcore: (I like some metalcore, but not thrash metal and the sort) My Curse - Killswitch Engaged Almost Easy - Avenged Sevenfold Critical Acclaim - Avenged Sevenfold (******** amazing song, angry as hell) Waking the Demon - Bullet For My Valentine Tears Don't Fall - Bullet For My Valentine
Rock/Alternative: Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria Running From Me - TRUSTcompany Not Good Enough For Truth And Cliche - Escape the Fate The Diary of Jane - Breaking Benjamin My Apocalypse - Escape the Fate Until the End - Breaking Benjamin Silver and Cold - AFI
will be updated as I remember/hear them.

How about favorite lyrics?
Without a doubt, Critical Acclaim by Avenged Sevenfold.
Shh... quiet, you might piss somebody off Like me ********, you've been at it for too long While you feed off others insecurities You stand in front of me and bite the hand that feeds
(Self-righteousness is wearing thin) Lies inside your head your bestfriend (Heart bleeds but not for fellow man) Broken glass, your fake reflection
I've had enough its time for something real Don't respect the words you're speaking Gone too far, a clone
So how does it feel to know that someones kid in the heart of america Has blood on their hands, fighting to defend your rights So you can maintain the lifestyle that insults his family's existance Well, where I'm from we have a special salute we aim high in the air Towards all those pompous assholes who spend their days pointing ******** you
Shh... quiet, you might piss somebody off Like the heartbeat of this country when antagonized too long I'll be damned if you count me in as part of your generous hypocrisy Collecting enemies
(Tabloid gossip queen, worthless man) There's no need for us to bury you (Selfish agenda, once again) Right this way, you've dug your own grave
I've had enough its time for something real Don't respect the words you're speaking Gone too far, a clone
All the way from the east to the west We've got this high society looking down on this very foundation Constantly reminding us that our actions are the cause of all their problems Pointing the fingers in every direction Blaming their own nation for who wins elections They've never contributed a ******** thing to the country they love to criticize
Excuse the obscene, ignore the untrue Depictions we see, try and get through Admitting mistakes can't hurt I'm not the last but I sure ain't the first
Shh be quiet, you might piss somebody off
(Self-righteousness is wearing thin) Lies inside your head your bestfriend (Heart bleeds but not for fellow man) Broken glass, your fake reflection
I've had enough its time for something real Don't respect these words you speak You've gone too far, a clone

Tom Araya (Slayer) is the best screamer ever. Hands-down. He has that magical talent to make his screams sound real. The only others who can really do that effectively are Chuck Schuldiner (Death) and Conrad "Cronos" Lant (Venom, most revolutionary band ever, hands-down. Like, more than The Beatles or any other band you can think of). Iron Maiden is heavily overrated and somewhat tiresome (other bands refined and perfected their shortcomings after a while, but Maiden stayed the same and became very redundant), but still good. Deep Purple is just masterful. You should try out Venom, man. They're mad Satanic (not actually Satanist though), but still an EPIC band. Death is also great. Want any album suggestions?

Nah, that's okay, like I said, I'm not too into thrash metal or death metal. I prefer things with a slightly lighter tone (though not giggly puppies light).
