I stood staring after him, standing still in the midst of moving bodies, bumping against my stone-still figure. I watched him leave the club, and wondered if I had done something wrong. Had I come on too strongly? What...
I felt like I couldn't breathe. Not that I needed to, but I felt as if I needed to and couldn't. What if I lost him?
Crazy talk. I barely knew him.
But he was so.... perfect.
I ran through the throng of dancing people after him, running past Kit at the bar, bursting out the doors.
"Are you okay?" I asked urgently, reaching for his arm.

Teddy stopped when Markus reached for his arm. Why was he having so much trouble just walking away? It was what he should do, what any smart human would do. "I'm fine. Just got overheated is all." Teddy lies awkwardly, not looking up at Markus. There was no way he could even try to explain why he'd left the club. Markus didn't seem the type to be so wishy washy about what he wanted. He did sound concerned, but that made no sense. He had no reason to worried about Teddy. Still, whether Markus was really concerned or not, it made Teddy want to talk to him. "And I guess I'm just... confused, for lack of a better word. About myself; you seem pretty straightforward." He gives a small laugh.

Teddy went wide eyed as Markus answered, not having even thought about that. Perfect, he'd managed to convince Markus he was a clingy little thing that wanted all or nothing. He wanted to assure Markus that wasn't the case, but someone stumbled by just then, catching Markus' attention. Teddy started toward the two, but stopped a few steps away. There was no need to crowd the guy; he kind of looked a little unwell.

"He probably did me a favor; I was just making a fool of myself anyway." Teddy said mostly to Markus, closing the small distance he'd left between them. This other guy did not seem like much of a talker; he had already turned to walk away. Then again, if he'd picked up on the, ah... interest between Markus and Teddy, perhaps that was why he was making himself scarce.

Teddy gaped at Markus, made utterly speechless by his reply. Even the vampire himself had blushed, another of those things he just hadn't thought vampires even could do. Then Teddy looked toward the researcher and shuts his mouth. That was the sort of comment that definitely had a story behind it and it was on the tip of Teddy's tongue to ask, but he decided this new stranger probably didn't want to hear about it.

I couldn't help but gaze upon the stranger with concerned eyes. Yeah, he had interrupted time with Teddy, but he was obviously in some sort of fatigue.
"Come on," I said. "I have a room here, you can stay there until you feel better." I put an arm around his shoulders and began to walk, grabbing Teddy's hand as I walked by him.

"Oh, man... I think you had a little too much to drink, Kit. Or a lot too much." Teddy was well aware he was stating the obvious, but he couldn't help it. Kit was really, really drunk. Teddy just hoped the guy Markus was trying to help didn't take her too seriously. If he was already paranoid like he'd said before, he really wouldn't take well to being called a little toy. Reluctantly Teddy took his hand out of Markus' and attempted to steady Kit. Was Kit human? He finally thought to wonder. Well, he hadn't seen fangs and Kit smiled enough that he likely would have, but that only meant she wasn't a vampire. She wasn't even half as nervous here as Mark and not a tenth as distraught as Teddy had been.

Samantha was feeling relaxed, sitting on the barstool of Guilty Pleasure's bar. She hadn't ordered anything. She hadn't come to gossip. She wasn't even watching the dancers.

...she was eating.

This place was her haven, the only source of nutrition.
Now, Sam was a follower of justice, and, by leeching on the sexual desires in the air of the club, she had actually prevented some repressed would-be serial rapists from flipping over. Since Sam had gotten a small attachment to some off the members off the club [she felt pity for anyone who had to resort to whoring out their body for cash, and they were the source of her food], this put her in relief.

The bartender watched as she silently heaved, not watching, not drinking, not talking. Samantha pulled out a twenty dollar bill, and pushed it towards him.
The bartender, who still hadn't gotten used to this odd routine, merely assumed it was a way to keep away any suspicions of loitering. The bouncer was given similar treatment, though it was only 5 bucks.

Sam would have considered her daily visit to the club a 'dinner and a show', but she actually looked away out of respect for the women. She merely wondered 'are they cold, wearing only things like that, and rubbing up against poles?'.

Samantha walked outside, and then saw a quartet of people; two humans, one who was human yet also wasn't, and a vampire.
One looked exhausted, one looked nervous, and one looked heavily intoxicated.

Samantha walked nearby, that desire for chivalry encompassing her rational judgment once again.
"Excuse me, are you all right?"
