I love Taco Bell....do Mexicans like Taco Bell?
i doubt a mexican would appreciate fake mexican food as much as a new englander
I you sure? I like Burger King and thats pretty much fake American food...
unfortunately, that's real american food. the burger and the hot dog are about as american as you can get.
That may be, but its not real. Those burgers are shitty, Burger king/McDonalds is to American food as Taco Bell is to Mexican.
modern america was built around mcdonald's and wal-mart. silence with your blasphemies - they'll kill you if they hear you.

I don't know if it's so much American food as Americanized food.
well if we're gonna go there, there is no truly american food because it is all americanized versions of something carried over from someone else's homeland. talk2hand
What about corn?

Or, really...an American person, for that matter. "American," as I understand it, is a nationality, not an ethnicity.

What about corn?
corn and maize are very similar (essentially one is bigger, and thats the only difference) and the europeans already had maize (though not in as large quantities as we now see corn produced in)

ash - let's stick to food

xd Okay, okay.

Also, maize was already a staple food grown by native peoples in the Americas prior to the European colonization.

Regarding fried chicken: chicken covered in a breading and fried is nothing new by far. US-style fried chicken may in fact have come over with Scottish immigrants.

''American'' food does not exist, as Mega said. It's all 'americanized' versions of different countries' dishes.

Fried Chicken was a recipe that was brought here by the Kentucky family from Russia, and it was actually bobwhite, not chicken. And Lobster is french.

All words in the Taco Bell menu are real words, and the correct words in fact.

''Chalupa'' is NOT a made up word, it's actually a fried tortilla filled with beans and cheese, among other stuffings. So it's correct to use it the way they use it. That's the name of a mexican recipe, but a chalupa is also some kind of wooden boat.

And no, mexicans DO NOT like Taco Bell, it is FAKE mexican food. Real mexican food tastes nothing like the feces covered in plastic tortilla they sell there.
