"Oh sounds we'll all just get along famously," I said before I knew what i was saying, I turned bright red and hid my face from the group. I decided to look down a long hallway when I saw something move. It was small and quick, maybe a cat? I skated to the hallway and flashed the light down it and continued to skate my way to the end. You could only go left or right and the thing I saw went left, so left I went...

"Whoa whoa whoa," I say, following after the girl... what had her name been? Kamryn? That sounded right. "Kamryn, where do you think you're going?" I asked, catching up to her. She turned left down a dark hallway and I followed. "Don't go down there!" i hissed. "It's pitch dark!"

Roxy was just standing there very confused. "What?" She said softly as she shyed away from everyone. She then sat in a corner and looked around the room at her surroundings. "Weird..."
Jacob just then laughed nervously and put his headphones on blasting music into his ears.

"I have a flash light," I said, as if that was something he should have allready known, "The darkness can't swallow you if you have light." I continued walking along, "Come with me, I though I saw something. It might have been a cat..."

John follows Kamryn, "If it is there might be a pet door or something we could use to get out of, let's follow it."

I grabbed Kamryn's arm. "No way," I said. "We're not going down there because you might have seen an animal. For all you know, it could've been a freaking demon from hell skittering along. We're not going down there," I repeat firmly. Of course, logic would dictate that it's necessary to explore every crack and crevice of this place, but if there was some sort of animal... would it really be wise to follow it?

"I agree with him." Roxy said pointing at Todd. "It could be people and even if there was an animal hole do you really think we could get through it?" She asked standing up and walking over to them. "I suggest if we're going anywhere we should partner up. just to be on the safe side." Roxy was just trying to reason a way that it would work.
"I think your all insane." Jacob said smiling as he started to do a drumbeat on his knees. "No but seriously. I agree with all of you." He murmured. as he took off his headphones he started to hear voices. So he dropped to the floor in a ball rocking back and forth. 'Why'd you leave us Jacob!' a voice said angrily at him. He couldn't get his headphones back on his ears. he was too worried about the voices.

"Oh yay! A search party for a shadow!" I said in a smartass like way. God, what is wrong with me?! Why am I acting like this?!I Flash the Light over towards John, "C'mon, I want to find it and get it over with allready."

"If it's a new kind of theapy, I'll just be happy to stay a schizo." I said. I flashed the light along the hallways, revealing old paint portraits of the long line of family members that have lived here. Everything was covered with a thick layer of dust, even the floor. I flashed the light onto the floor and stopped moving, a little hard to do on wheels, "John, look, there's no foot prints on the floor. I know I saw something. Maybe it was a bird?!"

I stood in the half-darkness, practically bouncing from one foot to the other with indecision.
"Wait for me!" I cried, running after John and Kamryn. I dashed to catch up with them as Kamryn mentioned the possibility that it might've been a bird.
"If it was a bird," I say, "then you won't have to worry about hearing voices anymore." I was only half-joking. "Jesus," I moaned. "I feel like I'm in ******** Scooby Doo. Next thing you know, the portraits' eyes will be following us and suits of armor will jump out yelling 'ooga booga'."

"They don't say 'ooga booga', they say 'boo'. Besides, Scooby Doo was my favorite show, I have probably seen every episode and movie sixteen times." I continued rolling slowly, looking at the portraits on the wall as we go past. We come to one of a young man, he's beautiful. His hair is shoulder length wavy and black. His eyes are brown and he has high cheek bones. "Wow, He looks a lot like Lestat from the movie the Queen of The Damned." I wanted to touch it, but I was afraid it would damage it.
