"At least you don't have one of the complexes some guys have about having to be right all the time," she laughed and hit his shoulder lightly, trying not to pay attention to just how un-innocent he looked. She repeated her actions to reach the next high up branch; digging her claws into the bark as best she could, and scurrying up awkwardly.

"Of course not, being right all the time would be very boring." He watched Sarai scurry up and managed to hold in his chuckle this time. They were almost there, just a bit farther.

"Yeah, I have to agree with you. But then I don't usually enjoy arguing. And I'm pretty used to being wrong," she laughed. She looked up at he next branch; the next few were close and easy to reach. She hopped up onto the next and then the next. She then went to hop to the next, but wasn't really paying attention.A smalled scream escaped her as she lost her balance. She tried to correct her imbalance but it was too late.

The sound of Sarai's scream seemed to freeze Rajani's heart. Instinct took over, he stretched out his wings and leaped from his branch to catch Sarai.

Sarai didn't completely comprehend all that happened. She didn't realize she was falling until she felt something reaching for her. She paws instintively reached out and grabbed for whatever she could.

Rajani's paws latched onto one of Sarai's and helf it in an iron grip as he glided to a close by branch. He shakily settled on it, His wings stretching out to help balance them and the claws on back paws digging into the branch.

Sarai couldn't stop herself from shaking. Even after they had landed safely on the branch, she continued to tremble. She held Rajani's paw tightly, unwilling to let go.

Without thinking, Rajani moved close to Sarai and slipped a paw around her. His wings wrapping around her to form a safe cocoon. It was and action meant to calm him as much as her.

Sarai didn't mind his closeness, it was comforting. She buried her face into his neck and her trembling slowly began to subside. She felt a little silly, getting all worked up like she had. But it wasn't only the scare of the fall that was making her heartbeat quicken now.

When he felt Sarai's trembling subside, Rajani pulled away. Despite the fact that he didn't want to. "Are you alright?"

As he pulled away, Sarai tried to cling to him. She quickly stopped though, and then began blushing. She looked down to hide her face. "I-I'm okay. Thank you," she said softly.

"I'm glad." His mouth formed a wobbly smile. "I think I nearly had a heart attack."
Needing to touch Sarai and reassure himself again that everything is fine, he put his free paw over one hers and patted it.

Sarai frowned but turned her paw over and took his. "I'm sorry. I really should have been more careful."

"What's done is done." Rajani looked up into the branches. They were so close, he squeezed Sarai's paw. "Lets take a small break. Then continue on.

Sarai nodded and rested carefully on the branch. She breathed deeply, trying to relax herself. "Thank you," she smiled up at Rajani finally. "For saving me," she laughed and shook her head slowly.
