*~*~*~*~*~*
It was a long while before Demy even had the energy to stir...and hopefully sometime during his rest that crabass Spence got some beer or a smoke or something. Still, as tired as he was the smell of delicious tacos was enough to finally get him back out of bed.
Nose leading the way, the boy slowly trudged out of Lali's bedroom and back towards his friends. He held a pillow in front of him, clutched between both paws. His wings still hung limply, but the pain was at least a bit dull now. If anything they had hurt for so long he was starting to pay less attention to it.

Setting aside her empty wine cooler bottle with the growing pile of similarly emptied bottles, Lali glanced up and smiled.
"Well, you don't look as bedraggled as you did a few hours ago, so that's good. If you're hungry, the taco stuff's in the kitchen. I set it up assembly line style since i wasn't sure when you'd wake up. And the cookies are sitting in the oven, staying warm. Help yourself, then come sit down and talk to us."
Noting the way he was holding the pillow like a shield, she wisely said nothign and simply waited for him to get his food and relax.

Spence sat half sprawled in one of Lali's comfy living room chairs. He looked up as the boy entered, his mood less agitated as the booze and the smoke he'd had outside earlier eased the tension. "About time, runt," the waiter smirked.

Huh...Spence seemed to be in a pretty good mood. That...was better at least. And Lali had cooked! While not the best day ever, it certainly was getting better.
Nodding to the pair, Demy trudged off into the kitchen to get some food. It wasn't too long before he returned with a plate of tacos and some cookies in one hand and the pillow still clutched in the other. Eying the two a bit suspiciously, he made his way over and plopped down on the floor on his knees. At least that way he wouldn't strain his new tail.
Finally setting the pillow down, he used his now free paw to dig into the delicious tacos. "Mmmm...."

"You can use the ottoman to sit, if you like," Lali offered as she got up to go fix herself soem food and grab another cooler. Snagging two beers on the way, she handed one to each male.
Then, secure in the knowledge that she was being a good host, she sat back down and eyed Demy for a moment.
"Any particular reason you looked as if you thought we were up to no good, sweetie?"

Spence gratefully popped open the beer and drank it. "Thanks, Lali," the elder male smirked. Leaning over the boy on the floor, he nabbed one of Demy's cookies..oh noes!

"I didn't particularly want to be scrubbed aga----HEY!" Whining a bit at the loss of one of his cookies, Demy swiftly pointed at the other male. "That, right there, is another reason why! Too lazy to go grab a cookie for yourself, eh Spence?" Demy snapped playfully at Spence before resuming his taco meal. He was well enough to joke around with Spence again, so maybe things really would be okay.

Shaking her head and laughing at the duo's antics, Lali relaxed a tiny bit. She'd been a little worried that Demy would be snarly or emo or both. If he was joking, he was on the road to feeling better.
"Silly, how could we scrub you out here? It would get all my nice furniture wet! As for you!" she turned and mock-glared at Spence, trying all the while to avoid giggling, "no more cookie theft! Or I shall be forced to hit you with a decorative pillow!"

Spence snorted, munching on the stolen cookie. The waiter grinned a bit at Lali's challenge. "Decorative pillow? Pfft! I think I'll take my chances." He leaned down to nab another of the boy's cookies.

"Stoooooop!!!" The boy whined while waving a paw at Spence to try and deflect the cookie theft. "Get your OWN Spence, gawd!" Demy scooted away a bit, both to avoid theft of his food AND any flying decorative pillows.

True to her word, Lali snagged a pillow from nearby and carefully launched it at Spence's head as he was reaching. With luck, it'd hit him right in the face.
Chuckling, she waved a paw at Demy.
"Better come sit closer to me. I promise i don't steal cookies."

Avoiding the youth's swatting, he had nearly reached the cookie when he was promptly smacked in the face by the flying pillow. "OOF!" the waiter grunted, flinching back from the impact. He glared over at Lali, growling almost playfully. Nabbing the pillow, he lobbed it back at the girl.

Demy sat in the middle, watching the pillows go flying. "I uh...I think I'll stay here... Less chance of a random impact, heh?"
The boy scarfed his food, keeping a watchful eye on the projectiles.

Dodging slightly to the side so that the pillow hit her shoulder, Lali grinned.
"Suit yourself, cutie. Though maybe I'll be good and declare a truce and simply go fetch Spence his own plate of cookies."
Still laughing, she got up and did just that. A pleasant time was being had and she didnt' really want it to end in a fight.

"Hmph..ruin the fun," Spence snorted, taking the plate of cookies and immediately stuffing one in his mouth. "Thamf," the elder replied through a full mouth, spraying a few crumbs onto the floor in the process.
