Candi lay by the bank, her catch, now no longer struggling, in her mouth. She swished her tail back and forth happily and waited for Blake to come back. She figured that if it turned out she needed another fish, she could always just catch another one later. She was excited for their picnic to start.

Blake decided to head back, a little disappointed in the lack of prey he managed to catch. He padded back into the clearing and dropped the squirrel down on the ground closer to Candi. He smiled then at the fish.
"Nice catch."

"Thank you!" she said happily and glanced at his squirrel. "You too...shall we eat now?" ^^ She had worked up quite an appetite by this time.

"Sure!" Blake replied with a grin beginning to tear apart the squirrel to divide it between them.

Candi took some of the squirrel and pushed a little fish towards Blake. "Want some fish?" she asked. She didn't want to take too much food for herself.
"I've never tasted squirrel before, is it good?" She sniffed it before taking a small bite. It wasn't the best thing she had tasted, but it wasn't bad. She was hungry anyway. She still couldn't help but think that it would taste better cooked...

Blake nodded taking some of the fish. He swallowed a small chunk before replying to her question.
"It's not as good as rabbit," he admitted with a slight shrug, "But Thumper made me give that up. Said it made him feel bad." He paused for a moment in thought, "Not that I would have ever eaten Thumper anyway."

"Oh..," she chuckled a little. "Well of course not!" ^^
She ate some more fish and then smiled at Blake, waiting for him to finish too. She wondered what they would do next.

Blake finished, his stomach full and a smile on his face. He then looked at Candi, his smile softening slightly.
"You know I've never shown anyone my secret place before..." he said, taking a look at the grotto.

"Really?" she said. "How come?" It was so pretty here...but then she guessed that was probably why he didn't want anyone to know about it. It was probably nice having a place like this to yourself. But...company was nice too...Candi didn't like being alone.

Blake took a nice look around the grotto. He looked at the flowers, the pond...the sheer creepy yet calming aura of the place.
"I'm afraid they'd ruin it...Everyone would find out and they'd all start to hang out here." he shrugged, "Then it wouldn't be special anymore and I'd have no place to just be me y'know?"

She smiled softly. That was a good answer, and now that she thought about it, it made perfect sense. Everyone needed a quiet place of their own to come to every now and then.
"I see," she said, "That makes sense. I'm glad that you have shared it with me though. I promise not to tell anyone about it, or ruin it."

Blake smiled back glad to see that she understood.
"I'm glad I shared it with you too. You're a cool chick Candi." He thought for a moment.
"Do you have any places where you hang out?"

She beamed. "Thanks!" She was happy to be called a cook chick.
She then thought about his question. "Not anything like this," she answered. "I hang out in the clearing sometimes. And with my best friend Sarai. But that's about all I guess." ^^;

He smiled and nodded, "I hang out in the clearing sometimes too, it's nice 'cause there tends to be lots of other namrah to talk to." Blake liked to get to talk to others, he was more social than some of the namrah he knew, "I don't really hang out with anyone though. I haven't made too many friends."

"Oh...well I haven't been there in awhile it seems, but next time we're there, we can hang out together." She smiled and agreed with his earlier statement. "It is nice to talk to the other namrah there too, there's always someone new it seems."
