I like Gifts Ungiven because it is amazing it let you get four amazing cards from your deck and you get two of them no matter what while your opponent sits there frustrated trying to figure out which pile won't win you the game.

theres something understated about its mana cost, 5 mana for a 6/6 is good by anyone's standards, but when it comes with regeneration, another (less useful) ability and whenever it deals combat damage it gets a +1/+1 counter?
its ridiculous!
i loved the way that Kai Budde used it to win the Gen Con tournament back in 01.

ew i hate last word for a card designed to end all counterbattles its annoying that it only works if you are the original counterer.

Jaya Ballard, Task Mage! Great character with great abilities makes her my current favorite. Prior to that it was Tolarian Academy I think...I lurve lots of blue mana.

It's awesome in a token deck, because you have all kinds of tokens to tap their creatures and you still have your other creatures to attack/block with.
