"Yes, I will send you both." While it could have been possible she did have eyes, she still wouldn't have been able to see with that blindfold infront of them. Even so, when she turned toward Karoko, who hadn't made so much as a whimper since they entered, one could swear she knew exactly where the toddler was. "You're much too afraid of the world, child. Noharu wishes only for you to be brave. She wants you to be strong while she is away. If you are, she may just return after all."

Still, the Eden said nothing, merely nodded her head and inched closer to Lyrus. Too young to understand, maybe.

"Now then," the woman continued, folding her still shaking hands together. "You'll need your friend Akilah's help for this. You must focus quite a bit, do you understand? If you close your eyes, and listen only for her, you'll hear her calling. I'll need her to cast this, it's a very powerful spell."

Surprisingly, the woman's ability to see without really seeing didn't bother Lyrus in the slightest. Scion wore a blindfold almost constantly, but acted exactly as if he didn't. This woman clearly did the same. Following her 'gaze', he quirked a brow when his eyes fell on Karoko. He hadn't realized the bat girl was inside. He cracked a smile when she approached, and automatically set a hand on her shoulder. Reassuring her, perhaps, though that was rather out of character for Lyrus.

Though he felt a bit foolish at first, Lyrus nodded and followed her instructions, closing his eyes and listening. Nothing. Nothing new, anyway, just the same old sounds as always: his own breathing, the occasional footfalls of people outside, etc. Nothing special.

'Listen only for her' ran through his head, and Lyrus forced himself to focus. Block out everything else, and listen for Kilah. Nevermind that reality told him she was way back at the House and there was no possible way he could hear her. Apparently this was magic, and magic could surely overcome barriers like time. So Lyrus listened.

And there she was.

I don't want to... Kilah's voice.

She's gonna kill us! She'll kill us when she comes back! We have to run! The happy voice, now paniced. Otherwise known as 'nice' Kilah. Apparently she wasn't gone.

You must, relax, child... The woman's voice instructed.

I AM. It's HER who's freaking out. Stupid spirit...thing! Kilah snapped.

OF COURSE I AM! We're going to be KILLED when that lady comes back!

The voices seemed to come from no where in particular, rather from all around them, echoing. "You must speak with your mind, child," the woman instructed. "Be warned, once you begin, until the spell is complete your thoughts will be heard by us." Child, calm yourself. Your friend is here with me.

Lyrus is with you?! AND YOU JUST TOLD ME? You stupid old b***h! Help him then!

Speak with his mind? How was he supposed to do that? Or, rather, how was he supposed to express it to the others? But they were all doing it, he could hear them.. Them? There were two Kilahs. Why were their two Kilahs?

Kilah? Aha, he had done it! Stop yelling and shut up the other you. She's confusing me. We're alright--me an, uh, Karoko. The bat thing, he added, just in case. He was fairly sure Kilah would know who he was talking about, but there was always the chance he had screwed up with the name again. Lyrus was bad with names.

So how does this spell thing work? Lyrus couldn't do magic. Any magic. Unless you counted manipulating glass, but all Sins had something like that, didn't they? Kilah had learned magic from someone, as far as Lyrus knew. He had tried once--just once--and decided it was stupid. He would stick with his glass.

Uhh. Yeah, I forgot to mention she turned out to be another spirit, and she...won't go away...eheh... Kilah sighed.

I want Jax to come back! You chased him away again and now we're going to die! 'Nice' Kilah whined.

We're trying to help LYRUS, you idiot! Kilah protested.

That's another thing! If he's so much cuter than Jax, I want to see him, too! But I can't because you ripped our eyes out!

OUR EYES?! They're MY eyes, b***h! And EW!

CHILDREN! The woman broke in, and both went quiet. We are to focus on helping Lyrus and Karoko now, am I correct?

Yeah, whatever... Kilah's voice echoed. Anyway, Lyrus, I'll have you here in a second. You ready, lady? I've only got a few gems left, but I think I can do it.

Very well, Akilah.

The woman began chanting, and echoing around them was the sound of music. Kilah really needed to learn to cast as well with words. She'd get around to it...eventually.

Farewell, children.

The last thing they'd here before suddenly finding themselves back beside Kilah and Sassy. The three gems on the ground shattered, making Karoko jump and look frantically around.

Jaxom's a b***h, Lyrus snapped in reply to Nice!Kilah. She was that weird one he had met. Somehow he could tell. The one who didn't know him... That explained a lot.

Lyrus was tempted to gloat as the Kilahs' conversation continued, but he decided against it. He already knew he was 'cuter' than Jax, and how could either Kilah say he was if neither of them could see? For now, his opinion on the subject mattered more than theirs.

He would ask Mignon later.

Lyrus' thoughts faded away as the chanting began; he was tempted to open his eyes and search for the music's source, but knew it must be Kilah, and that looking would be pointless and might even mess up the spell. And then before he could think any further, there was the sound of shattering crystal and his eyes opened on their own accord. They had made it.

"Good job," Lyrus praised with a grin, and would have said more had not he noticed fourth gem, the only one that had not shattered. Frowning faintly, he bent and picked it up. "You found the gem? This is what she wanted."

"Jax found it," Kilah answered. Since the boy had left Gizmo had found his way back. Casting had been that much harder because of which. He and Sassy had bickered the entire time--annoying things. After climbing onto the griff, Kilah grabbed her arm and nodded toward the pegasus. "She'll take you home," she offered warily. "I'll assume Karoko is going to come with us." Because where ELSE could she go?

"What? Oh, yeah." Karoko would go with them. Cracking a smile of thanks down at the girl, he nodded her towards Kilah, but his calm didn't last long. Smile fading, he pocketed the gem--making a mental note to slaughter Jaxom later for going in his room--and turned his eyes back to Kilah. "That's it? You're just leaving? We haven't solved anything. She could come back!"

"She won't come back." Her voice sounded sure, but not as if she was arguing. She was too tired to argue, and had thought he would be too. That island, which is where she was sure he'd been, wasn't as sunny and bright as it looked. It was a horrible place, and she wasn't sure she wanted to know what had happened during his visit.

Next time she saw him, when she wasn't bleeding, she'd be sure to ask. "You bet your a** I'm going home. You want me to bleed to death?" When she felt Karoko struggling to get up, she reached over and lifted her effortlessly. "I sent her off to my house, Sango must've been home. If she hasn't come back yet, she isn't gonna. My sister killed her."

Karoko was such a small girl, Gizmo barely noticed the extra weight. Any amount of weight was fine by him as long as he could get away from Sassy.

There was a brief pause while Lyrus considered arguing. But, no, he wasn't in the mood. He was tired, Kilah was grumpy, and Jaxom had probably turned his room upside down looking for the gem--that alone was enough to pull Lyrus home. Mess must be gone NOW!

Nodding silently, he stepped over to Sassy and climbed onto the pegasus' back, both hands closing in her mane. His first ride by himself. ....Good stuff. "See you, then."

Kilah nodded. "Don't do anything stupid. Sassy's tired, too. Get going."

Snort. Sassy wasn't a fan of being bossed around, but just the same obeyed. The Sin'aeis weren't the only one in the mood to argue. Before she took off into the air Kilah called over, "Feel free to kill Jax now."

Making sure Karoko wouldn't fall, she nudged Gizmo in the side and he too hurried into the sky.

---

Back at the island, the woman stood and pulled the blindfold off, wandering to the door. By time she made it there, it wasn't an old woman leaning on the frame, rather a copy of a certain blue-haired lamb Sin'aeis, who grinned broadly as he gazed up at the sky. "Stupid kids. I certainly hope you keep your guard up. It'll make it that much better when I come back for you."

Send her off to a demon slayer, eh? They wished she was dumb enough for that...
