"Yes...we shall." I smiled and stood up slowly and then nipped at his ear playfully. My food having settled itself now, I felt it was time to go home.
"Ready to go home now?" I asked him.

"I guess it is about that time." I nodded and began to walk. I wondered if any of the kids would be there when we got there. It seemed they all were moving on with their own lives. I guess that's what happens.

I walked beside him, happy to be going home with him. We never had to be apart, it was nice.
