Jessica frowned deeply as she slipped under the blankets, she could not be leave she was going to have to wear men’s clothes; she stretched and closed her eyes letting herself slip into sleep. She felt confident with Tristan sleeping in the room next to her, in the middle of the night she awoke with a start, she had been dreaming of her father, she rubbed her eyes and pulled off all her clothed before falling back sleep forgetting that she was on a ship that was not her own, her men knew to awake her by knocking several times before coming in due to the fact she slept in just her underwear and not modern prude underwear, more a pair of men’s boxers and a bra, but the men on this ship did not know that at all.

 Tristan KaneThe next morning one of Tristan's men went in to Jessica's room and left the clothes on the end of her bed. They were indeed men's clothes but they had been mended slightly so that she would be so extremely uncomfortable.
Tristan had ordered for him to wake her up, but he didn't wish to do so. Of course, if he did not wake her the ship would when it picked up speed and that would be a much ruder awakening. The man then went to wake her up by tapping on her shoulder, he also noticed the clothes she was wearing the previous day had been on the floor.

Jessica groaned softly as she turned over revealing a littl more than was really needed. She opened her eyes and looked up at the man silently for a moment before screaming out suddenly and draged her sheets up aound her, she glared up at him as she pushed herself away from him, "Get out!" she yelled as she pushed herself up against the wall.

Tristan KaneThe man jumped in shock of her scream. "Sorry!" He burst out of the room and Tristan looked down from the helm to see his crew member in such shock and laughed, "What's the matter? She didn't hurt you did she?" He said this to mock him after all, she was injured. The man looked up at his captain and gave a sigh of relief to be out of that room. Tristan laughed once more, "So what's the matter?"
"She just surprised me is all, sir." Tristan laughed again as he went down and patted his crew member on the shoulder. "We'll just have to knock next time then. Yes?" His crew member laughed at the captain and nodded his head. "Yes."

Jessica pulled on the change of clothes grumbling about the men on this ship, she sighed deeply as she looked at herself, this was the first time she had worn pants, she shook her head as she pushed herself to her feat but collapsed back down onto the bed with a whimper of pain.
"I hate this," she mumbled and looked around the room, she had lived through worse pain but she knew that if she walked then her legs would take so much longer to heal, she looked down at herself and lifted her shirt a little, she had a few scars they had never bothered her before but suddenly she was starting to take greater notice of them. The scar she used to be so proud of was a thin white line that ran right across her waist.

Tristan KaneTristan gave Jessica a few more minutes to change and knocked on the door. The man who had gone in before winced slightly as he knocked, "Be careful Captain." The other men laughed as did Tristan.
"I'll be fine," Tristan then spoke through the door at Jessica, "Are you dressed?" The man from before then went back to his post while the rest of the crew gave him a hard time but it was all in good fun and he took his humiliation and laughed with them,

Jessica sighed very gently and called back, "Yes, I'm dressed," she pushed the shirt back down as she sat on the bed and waited for Tristan to enter. She forced a soft smile as she looked up at the door. Maybe she had been a little hard on that guy, but he had scared her wakening her up like that.

Tristan KaneTristan then entered after Jessica gave the 'alright'. "You know you really frightened my crew with that shout of yours." Tristan laughed a little to himself and then went to give her a glass of water. "Are you hungry?"

Jessica smiled softly as she took the glass and drunk it slowly, "He sared me, I forgot that I was on you'r ship, and well I was undressed, I just got scared," she said and looked away from him. She took another drink as she shook her head, "Not really hungry, I feel a little sick," she said as she looked up at him, "but I would really like some fresh air."

Tristan KaneTristan nodded, "How do you suppose you should get around until you are ready to start walking?" Tristan then took her empty glass.
"I'm sorry that you must wear men's clothes. When we arrive at our destination you will receive some proper clothes and by then you should be starting your rehabilitation. For your legs."
He then sat next to her on the bed. "Shall I carry you then?"

Jessica looked away and sighed deeply, "Yes I guess," she sihged as she blushed deeply, "thank you," she added as she geantly looped her arms around his neck, she refused to look at him.
"So, do tell me how someone as young as you finds your self with a job lik this, and a ship as grad as this one?" she asked, might as wel be polite if nothing elce.

Tristan KaneTristan then lifted her up and they left the room. He then walked her to a place were there was a fresh breeze.
Shocked that she took any kind of interest in him, he answered proudly. "Well, I got were I am because of my skills as a Captain. My father was in charge of the building of this ship. He and many men worked very hard to build it only to see men of 'high class' and no knowledge of the sea sale away with his masterpiece.
After that, my father went into a deep depression. I then did what any young man looking to keep his family happy would've done. I captured the ship." He gave a sigh at his past.
"Of course, I was caught. I was young and inexperienced after all. I was then given an offer, I couldn't refuse by the 'officials'. So here I am."
Tristan then changed the subject quickly, "How about you? Aren't you a little young for all this piracy?"

Jessica listened quietly and smiled as she looked out over the water, "I was born into this world," she laughed softly, "I was atualy born out at sea, I planed to do the same with m-" she stoped herself and kept her eyes firmly locked on the horison, "my mother died when she was giveing birth to me, my father had planed to leave us both on land soon after I was born, but since there was only me and him he decided to raise me here." She looked up at him smileing softly, a light was in her eyes that had been missing for a few days now, "he got me a ship when I was sixteen and I have been a captin ever since, built up a crew on my own and everything," her tone went slightly more sad as she looked out to the horison again studying it, "I havent seen my father in almost a year, so basicly its in my blood, I don't know anything different."

Tristan KaneTristan smiled at the light in her eyes. "Yes well, I have found that no matter where you go, your blood will follow." He then looked down at himself and the less then proud blood that followed him.
"There is nothing stronger then blood." He was now refering to the bonds of family. His especially was a very strong bond.
"As for you not knowing any different, you should get out more." He laughed abit to himself and at all he had seen and found himself looking out at the horizon.

Jessica looked back at him and nodded softly, "Yeah, but I guess it’s hard, I've spent my entire life so far trying to make my father proud, my mother was a great pirate so I want to be like her."
She laughed as she looked back out to the horizon and shook her head a little, "But you don't have to worry, you have goo blood, people wouldn't want to kill you, I could never get married or anything," she laughed again a little more darkly this time. “So it is better to just do what I know and never question it,” she looked back at him with a soft smile “how long before I’m walking again?”
