A part of Paris forced him to move into the stream of light that poured in through the crack. He immediately felt himself calm. "Zsinor," he called her name in a concerned tone, "When you've had enough to drink, please show yourself out of the cave..." He paused, fighting with himself. "I'll join in a moment."

Zsinor had a few more sips before raising her head. She nodded before turning and walking back towards the entrance of the cave, pausing a moment to look back at Paris, before continuing to the entrance.

As soon as he knew Zsinor was in the safety of the sunlight, he made his way back out. Terrible thoughts ran through his head as he passed through the darkness. It took all his strength to not call her back in. Once he was out, he smiled, hoping he hadn't frightened her. "Ready to continue to the beach?" he asked lightly.

Zsinor looked back over to him, concerned on the inside but emotionless on the outside. She nodded and walked towards him, and stood next to him.

Paris smiled, glad she still trusted him. He debated telling her what was wrong with him, but decided it might spoil their beach trip. He promised himself he would tell her everything later. "Alright then! Hop on."

Zsinor nodded before climbing onto his back. She readied herself for take-off, and hoped he wouldn't go so high this time.

As soon as Zsinor was situated, Paris dove off the cliff's edge. He gently glided a bit, and then continued flapping. He circled around the mountain instead of attempting go over it again. He made very sure not to go any higher than the ledge had been. "The beach is just over there." He pointed off in the distance as cut through a narrow passage between two high, jagged cliffs.

Zsinor watched the scenery go by as he flew, entertained by it. She was glad he wasn't going any higher, she didn't want to be any trouble again. She looked over his shoulder at the mention of the beach, but all she saw was endless water.

Paris quickened his flight, wanting to get to the beach with plenty of time to enjoy it before it started getting dark. He soon began to descend. Paris spotted a big splash out in the sea. He wondered if it was something worth his time trying to catch. He realized then that he was getting hungry again.

Zsinor continued to look at the scenery, and wondered why they were already descending. Was that bit of white land by the water the beach? She didn't know.

The salty breeze hit them as them came closer and closer to the water. Paris suddenly slowed and finally landed softly in the white sand. "Here we are." He crouched to allowed Zsinor to get off more easily. "This is the beach."

Zsinor sniffed the unfamiliar scent of water and salt. She got off of his back surprised by the soft feel of the sand beneath her feet. She looked around at the strange place, it truly warming her up on the inside.

Paris stared out into the ocean, thoroughly enjoying the sights and smells. He again noticed some splashes far out in the water, but decided not to leave Zsinor alone. He remembered that she had said before that she couldn't swim. "What would you like to do first," he asked, keeping his gaze out to sea.

Zsinor walked to where the waves touched the closest sand, looking down as they brushed the very bottoms of her paws. She walked a little more forward, until the water was about knee-high, and sat down. She looked over at Paris, replying to him, "Sit...and watch..." though it was most likely missed under the sounds of the waves.

Paris watched her as she moved to the ocean; he stayed where he was. His acute hearing picked up on something she said, but he couldn't quite be sure what it was. He approached her silently and sat down next to her.
