>>She smiles, taking the bowl back<< Yes it is. Don't be so stiff, you're not going to offend anyone. We're a fairly easy going tribe. >>she laughs<< I can't think of anyway you might offend us. >>She pauses and looks down into the bowl, the light reflecting off of the liquid inside<< This is the comunal bowl. It comes to everyone and they get to tell a story, make a vow, or tell of some new news. This is a comunity right so it's an excersize to get everyone familiar. Later I'll share some of them. >>she looks back up<< Is there anything you'd want me to share about you? A story or a fun fact. Mine is... When I was younger I was being attacked by some humans and got rescued by a dragon. He didn't stay long, he seemed pretty grumpy actually. But I know he must've been really nice to stop and help a young were.
(( I had to put Diablo in here somewhere! And sorry, I kept changing what her fact would be, lol. So I decided to bring Diablo in! Maybe he'll show up again later? ~.^ ))

*Lavandris tilts his head after listening to her, feeling quite welcome* A story? Hmm... There are a great many stories in this head of mine, but... *he thinks for a moment, reflecting on her tale* When I was still human... 'alive,' I should say... *chuckles* When I was still human, I met and fell in love with the most beautiful and amazing woman I had ever seen. She was the one who gave me these. *He reaches up and opens his collar, pulling it down and revealing two small round scars in the side of his neck* I thought we'd be in love forever, but... We were living together in a castle in the mountains when the local village decided to drive us out. She was killed when we tried to defend ourselves... *he lapses into silence, starring into the bowl as she had done. He is silent for a moment, then snaps out of it* Oh, forgive me, milady, I did not mean to wax melancholy, especially on an occasion such as this. *he looks at her, putting on a smile to assure her that he is fine*
[OOC Edit: Writing this little blurb inspired me to go back and actually add my history smile So go check it out! I kind of wrote a long story, so I might make it a journal >.> But I'm proud of it, and it makes my character come to life smile ]

Tiberias thumps Raiden on the back. "Well played, more skill than myself. Now if you will excuse me, I need a drink." He lumbers off, into the shadows. It almost seems he is trying to hide the hair on his face and arms that has grown slightly thicker.

When Tiberias thumps Raidyn he stumbles forward and flips over on his back. Then sits up laughing and rubbing his head.
Are you sure you need more?

After a long and loud apology Tiberias laughed heartily. "My situation allows for consumption of large amouts of fermenting material. Thanks though, you want anything?" Tiberias hauled Raiden up and brushed him off. "How did you come here tonight?"

*Lavandris shakes his head, giving her a small smile* Don't be concerned about me, this happened many years ago, perhaps even before you were born. It was hard at the time, but I feel I've done well honoring her memory, and it's the hard experiences that make us who we are. *He bows again, smiling wider this time* Don't let my sad stories put a damper on this magnificent festival, especially not when there is music such as this to be had! Come, show me around. *He stops, a little wide-eyed as he remembers himself* I-If it please your ladyship, that is.

Raidyn studies a Tiberias a little.
I teleported of course, and what do you mean your situation?
Raidyn floats up and starts to follow him.

Tiberias finds a table an colapses into a chair. He leans over to top off Raidyn's glass before filling his own mug. "So sorry, I mean how where you invited to the festival? As to the other thing. The condition of were seems to have less to do with how the animal acts, but more with how people perceive those animals. As a werePIG I have the unnatural power of being able to eat almost anything, among other things. Teleportation is quite a feat though, how does that work>"

Raidyn lands on the table and takes a drink from his mug.
Well for your first question Lady Silverfang invited me. As for the teleportation it requires the knowledge of how to manipulate space and time to send yourself from one point in space to another in the blink of an eye most of the time with some sort of magic, but sometimes it can be accomplished with technology-kupo. Most times it also takes some knowledge of the area or knowledge of someone near where you want to go. There are exceptions of course such depending on the power of the spell and the caster.-kupo There are other ways of moving with magic also like portals. Which connect two locations with a gateway to pass between them. Then there are the obvious ways which is to increase your moving speed to get to a location faster.-kupo
Raidyn takes another drink.
And I don't think you would be technically a were"Pig" but more of a wild boar type of lycanthrope. And I wouldn't say you could eat "Anything", but at least you could digest anything you could eat.-kupo Lycans do posses the innate instincts of the creature they are part of, but they also posses the, I think the word "Sentience" is appropriate, of their humanity to know how to lessen those instincts to be better able to fit in with other races, take care of themselves easier, and also to distinguish what is right and wrong.-kupo
Raidyn takes another drink and sits there letting what he said sink in. He kinda figured it was a bit much and he had rambled a bit, but the main point of what he said got across he was sure of that. After a minute and finishing a small piece of cheese he looks at Tiberias and smiles.
Any questions?-kupo mrgreen

Tiberias throughly enjoys enlightened discourse and hung on Raidyn's every word, occasionally gulping down beer or stroking his beard in though
"Yes, Silver Fang is a rare and gracious lady." He rose his mug in her direction. " She has invited lots of people this year, and it doesn't supprise me in the slightest. But your teleporting is amazing. Personally I will keep with these." He slaps his thighs. "But I admire your skill and daring."
"Let me explain more of what I ment about lycanthropy. I agree with your two points about weres drawing personality traits from the animal and human sources. As a wereboar, and thanks for pointing out my innacuracy, when I change my vision is poor and my arms are longer than my legs etc. And I also have the human abilities, like being able to talk to you. Then again I also have a large appetite. I beleive this to be derived from how humans preceive boars. Boars and pigs are steriotypically greedy and hungry, but frankly they are no more concentrated on food than any other animal. Werewolves are steriotypically vicious even though wolves themselves often avoid conflict. This is just a theory I have. But it may just be an excuse to explain away this." He finishes pounding his stomach and laughing uproariously.
"Now I look forward to hearing your response, but let us first get ahold of some of that stew." Tiberias leans over an grabs a pot off the fire.

Raidyn nods at the points Tiberias makes about Lycans and after he picks up a bowl of stew and sits back down. After a few bites he thinks and responds.
Well according to my research I have done on Lycanthropy and other similar-wimilar forms of the same condition I have came to discover that it is not the way humans perceive lycans, but the way they perceive the actual animal they are part of.-kupo For instance most humans that don't have contact with a werewolf are usually afraid because they think that the animal instincts will override the human limits also the lycan shifting is fairly sudden as in it doesn't take a very long time to shift between forms which can startle someone who doesn't realize what is going on. I have came to the conclusion that the stereotypes are just what humans think and not what the lycans actually-factually do. Also to your point about the appetite thing is that humans eat certain things and do not eat other things where as a boar would eat just about anything. If you were to combine both of their eating styles then you would have a basic breakdown of what a wereboar could possibly want to eat. Which in my experience is a lot of different things.-kupo
Raidyn munches on a carrot that was in the stew.
Also just like humans lycans will fight when cornered or when they think that running away isn't going to be any use. The only difference is most times a lycan that is part of an animal that is fairly strong physically like a bear, boar, or wolf. Usually feel empowered when they are confronted because they have the advantage of strength and speed than that of a full human. That is also not necessarily even 50% accurate because the human aspect can also have a mentality to counter the situation. Such as, you probably do not like to fight as much as say someone with a more mean streak, but if you have to you will defend yourself and others if the situation calls for it.
Raidyn smiles and takes another bite of the stew nodding his appreciation of the taste.

"Ahhh, very good points all. You know quite alot about lycacnthropes. You mentioned study, should I give you a blood sample." Tiberias breaks into laughter. "So sorry, bad joke. What else have you learned?" Tiberias settles back in his chair and loosens his belt.
