(AIM RP) Walking in the rain...
Pepper & Wynni

The tall preteen had decided to take a walk in the rain to get away from the chaos of a home that now housed a crying infant. Not that she minded the infant but the young girl needed a break, thus she took up her umbrella, put on a coat, and wandered out into the autumn rain. It was brisk, chill, and refreshing just to be out on her own and not have Puck hanging on her for entertainment or bugging her to take him places. Her pink eyes flicked skyward under the edge of her umbrella to only see gray sky and more rain. Wynni found she enjoyed walking in the rain, maybe she could go to the hobby store and find more tools and things to tinker with, that would be fun, or an antique store that had a broken windup toy that needed to be fixed.

Yes maybe she could do that!

Wynni's mind was buried in plans and thoughts, completely unaware of her surroundings for the time being.

Pepper didn't enjoy getting wet, well more that he didn't like how his skin dried after getting wet. After all he had been in the ocean and the pool and bath tubs..but bleh. He still didn't understand why people liked to get drenched. So when he got caught in the down pour whilst he was out looking for something to do he swore and immediately looked for shelter. He dashed to where a eve was but it was hardly stopping the rain from hitting him. He then spotted the umbrella in the corner of his eyes and he ran for it.

He of course didn't think of the fact there would be someone holding onto that umbrella...and he only realized it a few minutes too late and he scrabbeled to stop his immediate head long rush into the person before him. He only succeeded instead in slipping into the puddle and then he huddeled underneath the persons.....skirt? He pressed his back up against her legs drawing in his long legs trying to stop them from getting more wet than they already were.

She had paused just long enough to become a target. Wynni was observing something about the weather once again when suddenly a someone was pressed up against her legs and her tail instinctively moved to wrap protectively around her legs, but it also wrapped slightly around the form that pressed himself to her and she felt the hair brush against her legs under skirt. Oddly enough she didn't feel scandalized, why did she need to be? It wasn't like this individual was taking liberties on her person they were just...

What WERE they doing? She didn't move herself or her umbrella as she peered down at where there was now an odd figure hiding with her under her umbrella (and under her skirt). There was a momentary pause as she pondered how to address the situation. Finally she cleared her throat and calmly said, "Hello? Why are you hiding under my skirt?" she sounded oddly amused, mostly because she never thought those words would ever come out of her mouth for whatever reason. "I insist on knowing names if people are going to hide under my skirt."

Wynni was either far too trusting or she just simply didn't feel threatened.

Pepper blinked as he was addressed pushing the hem of the skirt back he looked up to see the girls pale skin, he took the liberty to be careful to not damage her skirt with his claws. He looked down noticing the tail wrapped around his chest lightly.

"Ah...Pepper." He replied to her second question first his gold eyes stared up at her pink ones and he broke into a grin.

"You make a good shelter. HEY your pretty tall!" he commented quickly as realized she had to be to house his lanky frame under her skirt.

She couldn't help but giggle as he peeked up at her from under the hem of her skirt; it looked funny to her for some reason. After the giggling subsided she nodded a bit, "I'm Wynni," and then she listened for his reason for being under her skirt, as it was surely forthcoming she just had to wait for a few moments.

Oh, he needed shelter? Wynni seemed rather proud when he mentioned her height, "Yeah, it's mostly my legs," she said cheerfully to Pepper. "I guess I am a good shelter but that can't be very fun?" her tail gradually moved away from her legs and Pepper to fall directly behind her for the time being, though the tip still twitched.

"Would you like to walk into a store with me so you can at least stand up?" Wynni gave another small giggle.

Pepper immediately went to look at her legs as she mentioned them. OOOOOOH...he stared at her feet and he looked to his own okay they...were similar but not the same. He poked at the large toes and noticed the scales on her legs and poked at those too.

"Hey you know your like me...but not." He commented as he looked back up at her in new admiration. He then looked to the tail and he didn't have one but he thought that was pretty nifty.

He moved gingerly to stand up as he ...didn't really want to get more wet than he already was and stood pretty close to her. His height was mostly just ..that..height. Though hers spurned from her legs he was just a lanky male. His ears twtiched as he peered at her slightly pointed ears.

"You know your the wrong color and you don't have any bone structures but you could be my sister almost.."

Since it seemed to bother him more that he got wet Wynni quietly offered him the handle of her umbrella, "Here, Pepper, hold on to this," she offered cheerfully, that is if his digits would allow him to hold it properly, which she was certain they would. Now that he was standing she could get a better look at him now and was aware that he of his observation. Wynni nodded in agreement, "Yeah, I guess you're right," the young girl said simply. She seemed to lapse into silence before she jumped into any conclusions.

"Where are you from?" Wynni asked feeling that was a safe enough question. People all over Gaia had different qualities to them so it was quite embarrassing to just assume people came from the facility that she had originated from. Sometimes people just looked really, really strange.

Pepper looked at the handle being offered to him and he took it..awkwardly and held it wrong the first moment and got them both drenched. He quickly fixed his hold and looked a bit like a drowned rat. He shook his head his hair sticking to his face he then gave her a crooked grin.

"Ahah..a...sorry." He apologized as he then tried to well shelter her from the rain some. He felt bad taking her means of shelter.
When she asked where she was from he looked at her blinking a bit as if it was a question he hadn't been asked before.

"Uh..." He pointed in the direction he had come from.

"The facilities a couple blocks down. You know..Seven o...f...Seven or something like that? I don't normally pay much attention to what he calls it..."

She gave a squeak and moved to ineffectively cover her head with her hands for a moment until he righted the situation and had control of the umbrella, "Hee, its okay," she said good naturedly as she adjusted her coat a bit. She moved to walk with him toward the hobby store which wasn't too far away. She listened to him tell her where he had come from. Who was this 'he' he talked about? The person that cared for him? That seemed plausible, "That place? Oh! I came from there, too. I was adopted out to a nice woman when I was very young," Wynni explained quietly with a small nod as she peered where he had pointed where he came from as if that helped her visualize it even better before she looked ahead now.

"You live there, then?" Wynni asked curiously, not judging at all.

Pepper rather liked this girl named Wynni she had a nice strong build and was friendly and she was really cool looking. And tall...he wasn't sure why but he liked the fact she was tall.

"Eh?..." He looked at her wondering why so many of the kids got to leave that blasted place and he had to live there.

"Yeah...I do. I live with Luthor and his dad.." He replied with a shrug of his shoulders. He felt a chill go up his spine...stupid wet.

Even if he had asked she probably wouldn't have an answer for him. She quietly walked next to him content and not too bothered by any droplets of rain that invaded her space. So long as Pepper felt better about the whole weather situation she was pretty content with that. She gazed back at him and shrugged, "Well, I never met this Luthor but at least you aren't the only one right?" Wynni offered trying to be cheerful about the situation though she wasn't certain why; it was probably something in the way he looked at her that made her feel slightly odd about being 'outside'.

She liked Pepper as well he seemed odd but nice and also about as tall as she was, which was a rare treat. Wynni moved to twine her arm with his free one with a cheerful hum, it didn't cross her mind as to whether or not she should do this act, she simply wanted to. Wynni felt comfortable enough with Pepper to walk this way with him and not feel as if it indicated something about them.

Wynni noted the shiver, "We'll be somewhere inside soon," she promised.

Pepper hadn't really thought on it before he guessed it was a good thing that he had Luthor and his father. Though lately Almas seemed more preoccupied in being depressed and clingy since Luthor had...up and run away from home.

"Eh...its not a place I'd want any kid to live...but hey I'm tougher than most kids." he boasted with a nod of his head. When she slipped her arm to intertwine with his he looked at their arms and then shrugged. He didn't blame her for getting close it really was pouring and the umbrella was just not big enough for the two of em.

"Careful of my rocky skin..don't want you to skin yourself on those...they are quite touchy.." He warned.

She nodded a little bit, "I could see why," is all she could really offer on that subject as they walked together. Wynni seemed thoughtful and shrugged, "maybe one day when you're old enough you can live on your own right?" She didn't see why he couldn't he was perfectly nice person, at least right now. She couldn't imagine why that would ever change.

Wynni had noted the bits on his skin and shrugged lightly, "Unless you plan to hit really hard or whatever it's kinda hard to cut my skin, gotta be real determined to hurt me if you want to hurt me," she chuckled a bit and shrugged. Even falling hardly got her any scrapes, maybe bruises sometimes but no real scrapes unless she managed to somehow fall very, very hard which happened now and again.

She began to gently pull him toward a hobby building nearby, "So what do you like to do, Pepper?" moving on to new conversational avenues seemed best.

Pepper liked her even more now, she was tough. That was awesome! Tough skin meant he didn't have to constantly worry about his claws. He grinned like an idiot at the thought.

"Nah I don't hit girls." He announced, "Tackling them is another matter though." He chuckeled thinking of the over excited greeting he had given Marieke a while ago.

WHen the topic moved to hobbies he really wasn't sure how to answer.
"Oh...you know..this and that...what about you?" He turned it back on her..he really didn't have hobbies besides scared the day lights out of technicians.

She gave a small laugh, "Tackling huh? My brother Puck tackles me sometimes when I come back from going out for a while, but he's very small so it barely even unbalances me sometimes unless I'm not prepared for it." Wynni shrugged as she reached forward to open the door for them to enter, "You first," she said happily while she released his arm.

On the subject of hobbies she shrugged as well, "I like to work around the house or the yard, sometimes I babysit my siblings or I try to find something else to do. I don't have anything concrete just yet though I'm starting to get interested in toying around with clockwork things and what not...Which I guess is close enough to a hobby," she said with some modesty. "I'm not that good at it; my hands are too ... I don't know...Jittery. I get excited when something starts to go my way and it falls apart."

Pepper laughed at the idea of someone knocking her over. She seemed so sturdy and well built. He peered at her tail staring at it a couple of moments before he tried to shove the umbrella through the door way and found that it was too wide. He peered at it...and figured he could probably force it through....but he didn't want to risk breaking it.

"Uh...guess we have to leave it out here..." he mused and he looked to her fingers and chuckeled.

"well...at least you can hold stuff like that ...I kinda have difficulties.." he motioned with a wiggle of his fingers.

(AIM RP) Walking in the rain...
Pepper & Wynni

She didn't seem to note him staring at her tail and if she had she simply brushed it off for now. Wynni just accepted her tail as a part of her right along with her wings which acted more like an additional cape or jacket more than any thing remotely wing-like. She was used to it and had accepted it and never really wanted to fly. Yes, she was quite happy being Wynni.

Wynni smiled a bit and took the umbrella into her own hands and activated a latch which made the umbrella close up and snap down on itself rather abruptly. "Probably better if we leave it next to the door way anyhow." She said as she hung it on a nearby hook for customers. Wynni didn't seem too worried about people taking it.

If they did, they needed it more than she did.

"Well, we all have our 'special' things," Wynni said with a small shrug.

He wasn't sure he could call his ...claw like fingers special. Different...dangerous yes...but..not special.

"I guess so.." He replied hurrying after her as he watched her place the umbrella now all folded up on a hook amougst others like it. Curious. She seemed to know about a lot of things...he liked her more .

"So...where are we? what does one do here?" he inquried a bit too loudly as the shop wasn't that busy it felt like he had yelled instead of spoken normally.

Skills Class: Tinkering.
Calm and Precise...

Being Precise is Key To Precision

Wynni learns how to apply make up and thus learn how to be more precise and calm with her hands so she can tinker with small intricate things. Who knew that the two would go hand-in-hand?

Me? A mentor?
Wynni signs up to be a 'big sister'...

Journal Page
Dear Journal,

I asked mom if I could mentor a child from this place I heard about while I wander around and find things to piece together and practice tinkering around with clockwork stuff. She said it was alright for me to take someone in and look after them and help them grow...For a few minutes there was a small misunderstanding about what I would be doing, it was a little awkward. She kept thinking that I wanted to be a mother or something already. Goodness no. I want to be a big sister but that is about it, really. It is all I am really good at being for most people. Sometimes it feels a little lonely even though I have all these friends but sometimes I rarely get out to see any of them lately... I feel so left behind sometimes, but I guess that is my fault. I am not trying to reach out and 'grow' beyond who I am but on the same hand I feel restless and 'ready' to go on to a new phase of my life.

Does that make sense or am I just whining?

Puck is practicing his letters and numbers while he tries to perfect his dancing as well. It's like he already knows his path and yet I don't know mine. I can't help but feel a little jealousy.

Maybe the child I will end up mentoring will help me find my path and I can stop feeling so lost. I met her and brought her home already. I named her Mnemosyne since they don't name the children after they are born it seems. Which was what happened with me...

I feel a kinship with her based on the fact we both have birth parents that we won't see everyday unless we hang out at the place we came from everyday but there are so many places to explore and look into so why do that? Mne seems to have the same sort of curiosity and spirit that I had at her age but she isn't as much of a crybaby as I used to be. I look back and feel a little silly that I cried when I saw that Mommy-Riu wanted to take me in. We live such a good life together and I wouldn't want it any other way. Then again change is scary sometimes and when you live in a place like where I came from ...

It gets real scary real quick.

Not that the Facility is a scary place...Except for that one Man that wanders its halls. I don't know maybe I am silly for being scared and uneasy around that place sometimes. Where Mne comes from it is a pretty nice building and facility from what I saw. Each child gets their own room and we get to interact with the child one on one without risking jealousy...

To be honest I don't really remember much about my life from before I came to live with my family. Maybe that is just because I don't want to remember? I don't know. I feel like I am rambling off the mouth or something but I am just trying to compare and contrast the differences between me and Mne.

Like Mne is a little calmer than I am. She also accepts change a lot easier than I do; in fact she sort of looks forward to change. It might be something about her that is indifferent to the chaos of life and just adapts. Maybe I could learn that from her. I don't know what she could learn from me if anything I don't even know if I'll be a good role model at all. I should take her out sometime soon and get her exposed to some other children so she can learn how to interact and stuff...

Anyways, it is supper time so I better go help...

Wynnifred Drunhild

ABCs & 123s...
Booooooooooring!

[ABC][123]

Wynni sat down with Puck and quietly began to write out letters and numbers for him to copy. Puck watched his sister with a vague bit of disinterest with his hands cupped up under his chin while Ziiba waved about endlessly with a bit of an excitable air to it while Nicht actually seemed to take a great interest as to what the older Spawn was doing. The pre-teen had volunteered herself for Puck's lessons simply because everyone else was so busy with the new addition to the house: Siegfried plus everything else that was going on, the household was a constantly busy one and it was a good thing that she and Puck could ... Kind of keep up. She quietly reached out and tugged at a bit of Puck's hair, "Hey you, pay attention," she said with a small giggle when she noted that he was spacing off on her.

Puck sat up a bit and wrinkled his nose at his older sister, "I'mma listen," he said with a bit of an eye roll and scooted a bit closer to stare down at the paper. There was a bunch of stuff on it that he didn't one hundred percent recognize but still he could pick out a thing or two if he really cared to pick his own brain. He uttered a small bored sigh, "We done yet?"

The older mint haired spawn rolled her eyes and shook her head, "Nope, repeat after me," she instructed and quietly pointed over to a letter and began to tell him what each one was and wouldn't move on until he parroted them back. Puck did so after a bit of reluctance as he repeated each character back at his sister in a bored tone. Sometimes he'd lean on her in a drowsy fashion and pretend like he was about to fall asleep only to have her shake him off with a bit of a nudge or a light swat of her tail.

The younger spawn grumped at her and continued on with the lesson until finally he was suddenly expected to actually take up a pencil and mimic the writing. Ziiba at this point at completely lost interest and was waving and reaching toward the television which had a dance show on while Nicht helped Wynni with the attempt to keep the boy focused despite the distraction the other more carefree tentacle was trying to give.

After a great deal of effort Puck managed to get down a bunch of letters and writing Wynni heaved a giant sigh and ruffled her hair as she stared down at him with a small giggle, "That was like pulling teeth, Puu-chan~."

Puck stared up at his sister with disbelief and even Ziiba seemed to have stood up at a bit of shocked attention. Puck's purple hands moved up to protectively cover his face, "Nu'uh~. No one pulls MY teeth!" he said with a bit of grim determination.

Wynni shook her head a bit, "No, no. Not like that, Puck," she laughed.

Puck wrinkled his nose still not understanding and then moved to flop across his sister's lap, "We done now?" he asked staring up at her as she brushed her fingertips through his streaked hair. Ziiba draped against Wynni's lap while Niicht did his usual avoidance maneuver of hiding behind the younger spawn's back.

"Yeah we're done. Wanna go out to the park and play today just you and me?" Wynni offered, "or you wanna take Mnemo with us?"

The boy paused thoughtfully as he gazed up at his older sister's face. As much as he liked to play with his sister he was always much more of the type to want to play with a group of individuals rather than just one person and so after this bit of consideration he spoke up, "Take Nemmy with us~. I wanna play with her mores," he said cheerfully as he crawled off her lap, "I go gets on shoes you get Nemmy," he got up and trotted off and Wynni watched after him with a small smile. Playing outside would indeed be a good reward after all the patience he had exerted trying to learn his basic numbers and letters. She'd have tried to help him more with shapes and colors though he seemed to have those down pretty well on his own just by watching educational television...Ah well. At least they got started...

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:

Letter
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:

Guardians Name:
Child's Name:
Sin:
Virtue:
Gender:
Current Attitude:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars )
Current hair style:
Current clothing preferences:
Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)

Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them?
As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.

Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.

Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.

Thank you.

You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.

(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

Dear Labs...
She's so restless sometimes...

Dear Technicians,

My daughter is doing well. I think she's getting a bit more antsy and restless with life. She's getting to the point where she is ready to do more and be more than a 'child'. Soon I'll have to let her go and learn from her mistakes on her own. As a 'Mother' I worry about her constantly but I need to let her go sometime...

She helps me a lot with the baby and she also found more ways to direct and divert her energies through a hobby that makes her focus her mind and thus relax some of that nervous behavior into. She hides it well enough but she doesn't like to sit still, at least her current hobby of fixing and making clock-work things keeps her hands busy and moving enough to where sitting still doesn't bother her much.

Wynni has taken on a child to mentor as a 'Little Sister' and takes very good care of her and makes sure she is well cared for. She doesn't let myself or anyone interfere much with 'looking after her'. Wynni seems to have become quite responsible.

I worry that my daughter has become a bit reclusive since she doesn't go out much, I wonder sometimes if her friends might believe she's disappeared or something. I should try to nudge her to go out more often but I don't wish to be a nagging parent. With a family as large as ours I guess she doesn't get as lonely as most do...

I wonder if I should make her go on a date or something as well. Most girls her age and older are dating but...She seems content being on her own for now so why should I? It should be her own idea, no matter what happens...

Bigger and Wiser...?
Feeling cramped...

Journal Page
Dear Journal,

Mnemosyne and I have both gone through our separate growths. Mne seems to be growing up well and appears to be perfectly happy with herself and I think that's something she got from me for the most part. While I do aspire to be more than what I am I don't do it to make others happy - I improve myself to grow above where I once was and to gain knowledge of a better self.

I wonder if she will get to that point too?

I want Puck to be that way too. He should be himself and not what others want him to be and so far I think he's doing just that as well - so maybe I'm just worrying over nothing at all! I'm just a protective older sister.

I don't get out much though it feels like I should. I just feel funny making Mom look after Mnemosyne when she should be my responsibility alone. I signed up for the program not Mom.

I sometimes play with the idea of moving out on my own but when is the right time to do that? Mana has already moved out and gotten his own apartment. He just suddenly was older one day - not that it is weird or anything except for the baby that Mom had everyone is growing up at an insane pace. I wonder if the baby will get an insane growth spurt sooner or later?

Anyways - yeah. Should I start looking for a place to live now too? Or maybe I could look for a job to do..? Yeah I think I should get a job first before looking for a new place to live and then it'll just be me and Mnemosyne because I can't just leave her behind! That'd be silly.

I better go help Mom she seems to have a fussy child on her hands. Later!
