I <3 English, but my professor is so annoying stressed She does nothing D:! Hmm... her classes are based on translations and more translations... THERE ARE TOO MUCH THINGS TOO LEARN instead of translate during 80 minutes -_-. I think she doesn't like English and just chose an occupation. Anyway, I go to a Language School specialized in English and I'm in 5th grade, i think they are only 6... Then, I'll study in the professors' school (I don't know how many years are there Un_n) ... and after that ninja I'll try to teach English making it funny and dynamic biggrin <'cuz that's what it is about>

Well I went to a French Immersion school for my elementary and I hated the language with a passion. When I got to high school they made me skip Grade 9 French and take the next level up because I was too advanced. My teacher there made me love the language and even go on an Exchange to France. heart
I appreciate my Kindergarten teacher though. To trick us into learning French we were told that she didn't speak any English and we had to talk to her in French. We had a translator for a while but after a little bit the translator left.
Also my current latin teacher is amazing.
I've had my share of bad teachers too. Like my spanish teacher. I dropped the class and I'm going to teach myself when I get the time. 1 month into the course and we still hadn't really learned any spanish.

my german teacher was awsome. she knew what every student knew (so she would know if you had gotten a smarter student to correct your paper or if you had done an online translator), she knew everyone's handwriting, she was awsome!

I really like my Arabic teacher. She is very helpful, and encourages us to give her a call or come by when we need help. I usually don't do that, but last year I had a major problem and she helped me over the phone. My English teacher is very nice to me; however, she can be very mean to other students when they do something she doesn't like.

Here in Ontario, it's a graduation requirement that all high school students do 40 (or more) hours of community service... if you don't do it by the end of grade 12 you don't get your diploma, even if you got 100 in everything. domokun So anyway, to get my community service work done I've been going to my grade 8 French teacher on Fridays and helping her mark tests sweatdrop 3nodding

None of my french teachers were all that good, which is what discouraged me from learning another language. But now I'm regretting not learning french, because it really helps to be bilingual in Canada - it's almost impossible to get a government job if you only speak english.
The one I truly had troubles with was my grade eight french teacher (also my homeroom teacher). To put it plainly, he had too many accents. He was born in Mauritania (little island in the Indian Ocean) then moved to Africa, then Quebec, and then here. He managed to pick up all the accents from all those places, and it was his first year teaching an english class. So it was impossible for anyone to understand him (in english, never mind when he spoke in french).
Only now have I realized that I would like to learn a different language. But because of my experiences with horrible french teachers, I don't like the idea of learning french. So I figured I'd go with something that would be of use to me: swedish. Unfortunately, no such course exists in my university (closest I can get is German or Icelandic. confused ), so I'm forced to learn it on my own.
