Mai giggled as Hiro mentioned her latest beatings, and how she did it outside his house. Then he left, and so did Kira.

"Ahh, right. I'll meet you at the academy, Jubei." Mai said, standing up.

"Ooo. Sakura and Sasuke are going to get a kick outta this one. Their precious daughter has to repeat the Chunin exams. How lovely." She said sarcastically, before exiting the room.

She hurried home, pausing at the front door, debating her excuse for not training. Mai decided to tell the truth of why she wasn't training by herself.

Walking inside the house, she opened her mouth wide.

"I'M HOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEE! I'VE GOTTTTTTTTT A MIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOONNNNNN~!!" Mai called loudly, her voice echoing through the halls.

She ran into the kitchen, skidding past the door way as she failed to stop. Then, after recovering from her crash landing, Mai crawled back to the doorway, and stood up. She brushed herself off, and smiled at her *perfect* couple of parents.

"Naruto-sama told Jubei-kun, Hiro-kun, Kira-chan, and I that we have a new mission. An Akatsuki member is entering this year's chunin exams, and our squads are getting entered again, as Genin. That's so we can take on the Akatsuki during the exams, or to just get information. I dunno." Mai explained in a hurry, wandering into the room and grabbing some of her weapons and pouches.

"What if you don't get to face the Akatsuki member?" Her father, Sasuke questioned. He was sending a glare to her, and it was burning through her back.

Mai sighed, and turned around, meeting him head on.

"One of jus is bound to. And even if we don't meet them in the third exam, we'll definatly see them in the first, and possibly in the second. Duhhhh~~!" Mai explained bluntly, waving her hand, as if brushing the matter away.

"And Naruto-kun thinks you're strong enough to face an Akatsuki member? He thinks that highly of you and your teammates?" Sakura asked, a little worried, as most mothers would be.

Mai groaned, and turned to face her mom, this time.

"YES, OKAY? Naruto-sama has complete faith in us. And besides, apart from the harsh training from you two, I have your old sensei now. Kakashi. Remember??" Mai asked with a slight impatient tone.

She was now all ready to go, and was all suited up. She had her weapons, some soldier pills, and quite a bit of medical items. She was ready.

"Okay! Now, like last time, I don't have a 100% chance of surviving. And my chance just dropped, because now there is an Akatsuki member involved. I'll see you when it's all over! Come watch me in the third round, will ya?" Mai said enthousiastically.

She went over to her father, and pecked him on the cheek. "Love you, dad." She said sincerly, before going over to her mother.

She hugged her, and kissed her, before saying the same thing.

"Love you, mom!" Mai said, before releasing herself from her mom's embrace, and hurring out the kitchen with a wave.

Making it to the academy in record time, Mai leaned herself against the fence, trying to look as scared as she did when it was her first time.

((With the incomplete teams, you can just pretend, and temp for your teammates for now. When, or if, someone joins your team during the Chunin exams, we'll make sure to fill them in, and they can just jump in where your character is.))

Emi followed her brother to the academy, and towards the meeting place. Inside the building, she felt something that could only be described as evil. She couldn't help but shudder. She glanced up at her brother, trying to speak to him without words. Something's wrong here. Or someone...maybe, the Akatsuki member?
Hiro looked serious, as well, but he didn't seem to get the message. Emi sighed, and they continued on to the cafeteria. Upon entering the room, she immediately put on her scared face, trying her best to appear extremely nervous, as if it were her first time at the exams. Beneath her facade, Emi was carefully scanning every face in the room, gathering what information she could about those she did know, and even more importantly, those she didn't.
"I'm nervous..." she told her brother, in a high pitched voice, which was pretty obviously fake, at least to anyone who knew her.

"I'm nervous..." catching his brothers attention.
Hiro turned to her with his usual bored and tired look.
"you are a horrible actor."
Upon turning to her, Hiro happened to see Kira. He pointed at Kira,
"Now that's good acting right there", giving one of his know it all smirks. Of course he was just picking on his sister.
He than approached Kira,
"Yo, you got here pretty fast", giving a dumbfounded look afterwords, noticing that Kira wasn't actually acting, but was actually scared that there were so many people.

"You are a horrible actor."
Emi glowered at her brother. I notice he isn't trying to look scared at all.
"Now that's good acting right there." Hiro pointed to Kira, who to any normal person, appeared really and truly scared. But apparently Hiro wasn't normal, since he walked right over to her, and began making friendly conversation. Emi followed at a distance, wondering how long it would take him to figure out Kira wasn't faking. She watched the dumbfounded look appear on his face, and had to struggle to hide a grin. She watched Kira pretend to be okay, and then stepped up beside her. "Hey, Kira. Long time no see, eh?"

Emi raised an eyebrow skeptically, but chose not to say anything. Kira and Emi weren't the best of buddies, but they had been in the same class, so they had gotten to know each other. She could tell that something was a little off about Kira, but she didn't know what it was.
"Well, you know." Emi shrugged noncommittally. "Talking uses too much energy. I can't be expected to do it all the time." And especially not for no reason.

Jubei appeared before the group with a smile on his face.

"Hello everyone. I hope you guys are ready for the exams."

He pounded his right fist into his left palm.

"I know I am. We'll wipe these guys out for sure."

He was very excited to be taking the Chuunin Exams again, especially since he knew exactly what to expect.

"Hey hey calm down. There's no need to take the acting far. I am sure no one here knows we are already chuunins."
Gah. My brother is such an idiot sometimes. And yet, its kind of amusing. Just for appearances, Emi glared at her brother.
"So what was your name again? Kira was it? It's a pleasure to meat you..."
"You shouldn't joke like that," Emi informed her brother, playing the role of the annoying little sister. "People might actually believe you."
Hopefully not. We don't want our covers blown before we even start.
She glanced at Jubei, who was being peppy and annoying, of course. Stupid troublesome boy. She turned back to Kira, and continued to ignore him.

Mai thought it time to go in, so she entered the Academy, taking her time to look at everything, and reminise.

As she reached the room where everyone was in, Mai opened the doors, and let a shiver run up her spine.

Of course, it was an act, but Mai's lip quivered at the sight of so many people.

"Hey.. Isn't that the Uchiha girl? She's hot."

Mai forgot about her act, and slowly turned to see two Waterfall shinobi, staring at her. She now looked fairly pissed off.

Taking huge strides towards them, Mai readied her fist.

"I have a name you know! And it's not "Uchiha Girl"!!!!" She said, showing off her mother's temper.
