faerie_ophelia *Eats craisins* That's such a sad story, Seffy. *Cries in handkerchief* Ooh, craisins, I like those. I also recently discovered that raisins are much tastier than sultanas. WHERE have I been when you've been writing these, they're excellent! *can't wait for more* *dabs at eyes with tissue* that last was very sad.

A very very long time ago, in a space that is quite lost to us now, there was a Cat who lived on a hill. At the bottom of the hill there lived a Woman. She was kind and gentile, and the Cat was in love with her. But the Woman was in love with the Wind, who was as fickle as threy come. The Cat saw this, and because he loved the Woman more then his own self he gave the Wind a body using his own precious magic.
At first the Woman and the Wind lived very happily. The Cat watched over them, making their home safe from small nuisances. But soon the Wind, who's ways did not change along with his form, began to see that there were things that might have been more interesting then the Woman.
One day the Woman was sitting on her porch waiting for the wind. She waited for four days and nights. Until the fifth morning, when she cried until she cried a stream that ran along the side of the hill. The Cat could not bear to see the Woman in such distress, and made up his mind to go find the Wind.
He sniffed the air till he could smell the wind. He tracked the wind down roads and through cities. He walked and walked till at last he found the wind outside of a small town. "Wind, Wind!" the Cat cried. The Wind looked up at the cat and asked him "Why did you run away from the Woman?" To which the Wind replied to the Cat: "I love her sweetly but it is my nature to wander the earth searching for all there is and telling the world, whispering of what may be. I long to roam as I cone did, but I have no more magic in this body."
The Cat, seeing his mistake, returned toe Wind to his former state with the last of his magic. The Wind, who was grateful, whisked the cat to the top of the hill. And suddenly, the Cat became a human man. Knowing that he must tell the Woman what happened to the Wind the Cat waited a day to decide what to tell her. He went to the Woman's house and knocked on the door.
"Your lover has returned to his former state and I'm afraid he will not return."
The kind Woman was broken-hearted. She fell to the ground in despair. The cat heald the woman in his arms. "I cannot bring him back to you, he was never meant to live in our world. But I love you dearly, more then my own self, and I will watch over you for all of my days. If you won't have me, I've no place to be."
The woman took the cat in, and got to know him and learned to love again. With love came the realization that thought dreams may be beautiful, they should never be your world.
The End.
