She was the same, embarrassed, pleased, but also confused, but she said nothing more. Once she had lain down and he had lain with her, close to her, touching her, she sighed, a small, happy sound. Turning her head, she glanced over her shoulder at him, and actually gave him a full blown smile. It had been hesitant at first, but still.
"You don't need to apologize," she replied, nosing at him. She wasn't used to this affection thing, but she tried. "And.. to hear you say that makes me happy as well."

The other smiled at that. "I am happy then that you are M'lady." He moved slightly so he could lay completely along side her, and sort of curl around her being he was much larger then she.
"Ravyn. I am glad that I met you." He said softly with a lick to her cheek. "Truly." He appeared just a bit flustered, yet he meant it with all his heart and being.

Slowly, but surely, she moved so that she was leaning against him, head tucked under his chin. She closed her eyes, the smile still lingering. "I'm very glad I met you as well, Norryk," she murmured softly, nuzzling him.

The devil closed his eyes sighing deeply. His own smile matched hers, though a bit boarder in comparison.
"We should rest." He murmured gently resting his head on her, wing stretching out wards to act as a sort of...odd make shift blanket. "I will be here when you awaken." His red eyes scanned the clearing once more, as if making sure no presence was near and while it did take him a fair amount of time.... he passed into the land of dreams.
For once, he did not move fitfully. It was quiet the opposite really, the devil at long last had found peace after having lost it so long ago.

She snuggled closer, an appreciative smile on her face. The Messenger fell asleep long before the Devil, but her sleep was a little more troubled. Her insecurities ran rampant while she slept and plagued her dreams with Norryk abandoning her and the horrors that were her children, or her horrific attempt at motherhood. The spotted female whimpered in her sleep, curling closer to Norryk.

Norryk's eyes flew open at the sound of her whimper. He'd only slept deep enough to rest his eyes. Brow furrowing he peered down at her gently nuzzling at her.
"Ravyn..." he said softly into her ear. "It's alright, be at peace." He studied her shifting so he could lay his paw across her.

At his touch and reassurance, something seemed to change. The female relaxed and sighed softly, nuzzling at him in her sleep. Her dreams were less troublesome now, she knew Norryk was near.

Norryk smiled at this, he was glad he could help her.
He let her sleep because he had a strange feeling the Messenger did not often rest. Then again he the Devil did not either. No matter, he was content to watch her rest. In fact.... one could say he was guarding her protectively. What did he do during that time you may wonder?
Simple. He took in her beauty. Combined with the nature of where they were, it was almost.... mystical. A surreal touch of the old world if you will.

No, she didn't often sleep. The Messenger was usually to troubled to sleep, or on a mission and could not. She was to fulfill her Messaging duties long before taking care of herself.
When she awoke, she lifted her head, a momentary second of panic until she felt Norryk's paw around her and his warmth. He hadn't left. He hadn't left! Turning with a smile on her face, she nosed at him.
"Good morning, Devil Norryk," she murmured, smiling up at him.

He'd sensed her tension, and a part of him was sad. He had meant his words. He would not leave her, perhaps for a short period of time but not like this no. "Good Morning, M'lady Ravyn." He smiled thoughtfully and nuzzled at her in greeting.
The early morning rays were warm on his back, nothing compared to her warmth although. "I trust you slept well?" He added smoothing her fur down with a nuzzle.

She knew he had meant them, but there was still that little part of her that didn't really believe him. The fact that he was still there kept that part at bay, though. For now.
She returned the nuzzle, nodding to him. "I did, actually. Did you?" She wouldn't tell him of her dreams. They had magically disappeared in the middle of the night, anyway.

Perhaps the Devil understood. Either way he did not push her to much. "I slept soundly for the most part yes." He would refrain from mentioning he really hadn't. The last thing he wanted was to worry her.
Sitting up slowly he stretched flexing his paws slightly before raising up to go take a drink from the river. He stopped after a moment and lifted his head to look back at her. "Shall we take a walk through the forest M'lady?" he was usually like this. The devil enjoyed her company, hence his request to walk. The cave they'd some what claimed as there own was a short distance away.

She nodded and got to her own feet, tossing her mane over her shoulder. After a stretch herself, she nuzzled him. "A walk sounds good, Norryk," she murmured.

The larger male moved along side her at an easy walk. "Aye," he murmured sighing a smile curving his lips.
The sounds of the forest soon were all about them, a sort of soft fading light due to the ancient trees casting shadows. His red eyes settled on her a bit of a side ways look.
"Ravyn...I have a question for you." He said softly.

She liked walking with him. It was peaceful, and there was no pressure to talk. Walking in silence with Norryk was just as enjoyable as walking with conversation.
When he spoke to her, she turned her head, grey eyes meeting his red ones. "Yes, Norryk?"
