Since the new principal came, he's been making a big deal of everything. Security's everywhere, lots of strict stuff going around.

it sounds like when i was in 9th grade...they locked the doors when the last bell rang, and if ya didnt make it you had to go to the principals office and get a detention (they called it wednesday school) i got them so many times that got got suspended after awhile

I think we did that once! surprised And there were hall sweeps.

When we have lockdowns, they bring all the drug sniffing dogs through.

I was downstairs in the freshman hall when the last one was being held, and dogs barked on four separate occasions.
The freshmen aren't smart enough to remove the stuff from their lockers, or not do it at all.

I just don't see why people are dumb enough to bring that crap into school. That's the easiest way to get caught. Leave it at home. Not in a public place where they are obviously going to check if you have something. And if your parents catch you, at least they're not going to arrest you. Caught in school, they'll find out anyway.

We had a couple of drug searches. Since everyone had to stay in their classroom, we didn't get to see the dogs or anything.

Someone was actually dumb enough to smoke pot on a street corner near the school. He ended up going to rehab, from what I hear.

People associate my school with drug use, but I actually never thought it was a large problem. There are only two bathrooms I heard of (one I entered and another someone else spoke about) where girls went to smoke, but those were the only times I heard of drug use at school. And it started just this year, so I can't say if drugs have been an on-going issue. sweatdrop

Drugs were an issue at my school, but I'm not sure how often people got caught. I just knew that it was going on, even if I didn't really see it.

I think the bigger problem was the 20 pregnant girls. The saddest thing about it was that some of them were underclassmen. I guess some of the girls were really good at hiding that they're pregnant.

Drugs were a big issue, same with alcohol.

Drugs are an issue at every high school. That's just the way it is.

We didn't have the biggest problem though. The new high school here only opened 2 or 3 years ago, and it's drug problems have made the news a few times already. And hell, supposedly there was a South Park episode made about my town's middle school after some guy got caught taking pictures up girls skirts on his camera phone and sending the pictures around.

On that note, I find it funny how I'll be going to the same university that the creators went to. They actually grew up around here too, hence why the cartoon takes place in South Park, Colorado. South Park is an actual place, but not a real town. xd

I'm so glad that none of my teachers were ever accused of being child molesters. Well, one of my middle school band directors ([Monster], you at least know of him; not sure if you ever met him though) supposedly did things to certain girls according to the grapevine, but that was never proven.
