Keith Valken Lionheart: not a bad Idea, and would work. the only problem would be military convoys, a waring nation dose not care for their stuff being taken away.

Are you sure about that? When soldiers have been on the frontlines fer a while now, needing ammo, food and supplies, a pirate raid on supply convoys would lead to low morale, mutiny, etc.

well ya, but what I'm talking about is that the convoy would have military support. One thing I know about pirates is that they don't like to mess with the military. they try to take out an victim that they can outmaneuver, and over power, they would not be able to do that if it's a military convoy, or is supported by the military.

It could depend on how heavily armed they are 3nodding say if the convoy is mainly dwarves with rifles and warhammers, and humans with arcane spell casters and gun mages they wont stand a chance against a crew of heavily armed pirates, with a cleric of a god of thieves and pirates casting spells

@~@ ehhh???. sorry but that is a bit to much for me. When I think of pirates I think of unpredictable cutthroats, with light but fast ships that are made to outmaneuver their victims. Heavenly armed shock troops is not what I think...

You sure? Pirate ships had a large array of cannons, and they wielded flintlocks, and many had more than one. They used dirty tactics.

true, true. but what got rid of pirates was the military, that is normally better suited for combat. True pirates are suited for hit and run, harassment, or boarding, they normally got the other ships to give up before any fighting began, that's what the flag was for.

no matter how well supplied a pirate ship is, a military ship is always better, (unless things have gone honorably wrong. now it the pirate ship is funded by a military, then you have some power pirates. (but thous are Privateers.)

I think what got rid of the pirates was power in numbers. A few pirate ship against a full Navy Armada was overkill.

true, but a bunch of pirates vs a trained military, the military tens to have the advantage. Pirates are cool and all, but they aren't the end all warrior. Simply put to what I'm saying is that the pirates biggest strength is their maritime skills, they only fight when they have to. (that's what makes them not Raiders)

Very nice Profile indeed! The only thing is, while Treasure Hunter is an amazing occupation, it's not much of a class. For someone with the skills your character possesses, may I suggest the class of Rogue?

Hi, I'm not quite sure how this guild runs, but I think that have a sub-forum for Profiles would make things cleaner. Having it so that each person has their own thread for their profile, so that you can look it up easier then looking through pages. I know this is still a small guild but I think it will help in the long run.

I'm a wee bit confused about how things are working out here. There seems to be roleplay in the profile section and profiles in the roleplay section. I know it's in part my fault... but I still don't understand.

Before being a Steampunk RP guild, it was a medieval fantasy RP guild. I haven't cleaned out the guiled 100% yet, so there are still threads in the subforums.
