"Okay!" she chirped as she trotted beside him and slipped herself under his lower wing. She was small enough. It was as if she were using him as her protector for the journey to the unknown place...and he was because she was putting her trust in him.

He looked down at her and gave a small snort, but said nothing about it, leading her across the forest.

"You're nicer than you think Auster." she smiled sweetly, even if he didn't want to see it. "A real angel." she yawned tiredly. Her eyes still wandered to the path ahead of them.

He said nothing to that, eyes straight ahead.

"Do you wish you never met me?" she asked curiously. He had opened up a little but he was so stand offish it was even hard for her.

"No but sometimes you act like it." she pouted. "Actions speak louder than words, sometimes." she looked him. "So you're glad you met me?" she questioned.

Raising an eyebrow, he looked down at her. "I also did not say that."

"Oh so you're indifferent? You could care less either way?" she paused. The forest seemed to drift on forever and the clouds were covering the sun at the horizon. Sothe little sun they had left was being obscured by freakin' rain clouds. She sighed softly.

"I suppose that is the terminology, yes." Turning his attention back to the forest, he veered to the right, heading for a cave he knew existed there.

"Oh," she replied shortly. She didn't know what to say to him. It had been a fun filled day of playing in the river, racing and tag. But he was still indifferent. She sighed softly to herself watching the ground pass as she walked.

He led her that way for some time, before stopping in front of a cave. It had once been a bear's den, perhaps, but now it was vacant. He slept there sometimes himself. Nudging her with his wing, he nodded towards it.

She moved forward at the touh of those light feathers. She looked to him, "Are you leaving?" she asked with sorrow in her tone. If he left she probably wouldn't stay here. She'd find a place where the moonlight was or fly to the light if she had too. The look in her eye told him not to go. She hoped he wouldn't, but she wouldn't make him stay either.

He hadn't planned on staying, no, he most certainly hadn't. The large black stallion was about to say yes, when he caught the look in her eye. Heaving a sigh, he looked up at the moon, just as rain started to fall. There wasn't much point to leave now, he'd be soaked before he found another dry spot. With a scowl on his face, he nudged her forward, following her into the cave.

He didnt need to nudge her, as soon as that first rain droplet hit her flank she bucked so hard she almost fell over. She scuttled into the darkness happily, rain was worse than darkness. She moved as far back as she could but still the cave wasn't deep enough. She hid her face in the curve of the wall. Trying not to think or listen to it, until thunder cracked and made her jump again.
