Tanu pounded her fist against the railing in frustration. She needed to go hide below deck or something, but she knew that being below deck would just make it worse. The open air of the sea always seemed to help her, but it wasn't in this case. "Uh..." she groaned again, hanging her head low past her shoulders as her hands squeezed the railing over her head. She remained crouched down, but eventually fell to her knees. "Sensei... Don't let the other see me," Tanu mumbled under her breath, hoping that Kane would be able to keep her hidden and keep it a secret that she had such a weak stomach when it came to the open sea and being on a boat. Tanu was actually embarrassed of this, which was a first for the Kun Kumo. "I'll try taking some water," Tanu said as she held up her hand for Kane to place the cup in. She didn't want to move her head from this downsard position.

"Dang it!" shouted Kiba as he realized his error in letting his guard down. Alas! It was too late for that. Aya's advice served merely to distract him at this point rather than aid him as he tried to swiftly block the slash with his tanto. He was too slow, however, and would have ended of knocked out cold from the blow to his throat had not a wave caused the boat to suddenly lurch just enough to cause him to instead get smacked in the back of the head with less direct force. Still, it was a strike powerful enough to knock him to the floor of the boat with a great throbbing head ache. "Dang it! Dang it! Dang it!" the young Raiken bellowed as he clutched at the wounded part of his head with his free hand. Picking himself up as quickly as possible Kiba resumed a fighting stance and planned to finish up his training soon with a well executed and fast strike at Kazuma. He would be fast enough to use his dao in not time flat!

The large seaman that Hanabira had approached heard her loud and clear even though her voice was delicate and almost a whisper. He was currently in a stressful situation. There had been a knot in their best fishing net. He had been working on it since the boat had shoved off and seemed to be getting nowhere. Despite his current frustration, he just couldn't help feeling a little at ease when such an adorable girl approached him with that innocent question. "Candy?" he asked back smiling, his head turning around as if he hadn't the slightest idea of any candy on the boat. "I don't think we do darling," the man told her, pulling at her strings as he dug one hand into his pocket. "Well, actually..." he said, pulling out a plain wrapped taffy and holding it out for the little girl to take. "I happen to have some salt water taffy, but don't you tell anyone I had it, you hear?" the man said with a wink as he held out the piece for the girl to take.

Hanabira tried to think of all the animated expressions a cute outgoing girl would go through as the man questioned her back. With an eager look on her face, Hanabira leaned forward in anxiousness, her eyes big and her mouth slightly open in anticipation. When the man said that wasn't any candy, Hanabira almost froze, but instead she drew a pout. She gave herself a mental nod of approval thinking that would be an irresistible action. It was, and it worked as the man contradicted himself and pulled out a taffy. Hanabira made her face light up. Her doll-like features took such a look of surprise as she nodded her head quickly to the fisherman. "I won't tell a soul!" Hanabira promised as she snatched the taffy from the man's open hand. "Tehee!" Hanabira said with a little girl as she began skipping off. "Thank you, Mr. Fisherman!" she chirped back and then continued to skip off with her curls bouncing all the way.

Once Hanabira was sure she was out of sight from the seaman untangling the fishing net, she ceased her skipping. That was the first time she had ever fooled anyone. Twisting the wrapper of the taffy this way and that, Hanabira smiled. It was rather fun tricking people. A bashfully sly smile spread across Hanabira's lips as she recalled all her questioning towards those who always pulled pranks and liked to deceive people. She understood why they found it so fun now. Saving the taffy for later, Hanabira tucked it in her pocket. This was too fun to just stop at one person. Giddy with excitement from a mere trickery to get candy, Hanabira ventured out from around the little corner she stood at to find another seaman on the boat. Instead of a seaman though, she spotted someone else familiar. It was Tenmoki Yuki's sister, Midori. She was standing on the side of the boat examining something. Hanabira had seen the actions that Akiko, Midori's daughter, had taken in order to toss her that parcel. The woman was probably already missing her daughter, which was a state of vulnerability. Hanabira thought that she would be an easy target, and perhaps she would have some of Yuki's special candies on her. Hanabira had been taught that recipe many years ago, but had never made it since her academy days.

Hugging the teddy bear close, Hanabira decided to approach the woman. She might have a trained eye, being Yuki's sister, but then again she might not. With a dry and nervous mouth, Hanabira began her little skip towards the woman, swaying her shoulders back and forth as she playfully swung her teddy bear with her steps. "Excuse me, Mommy-san!" the little girl chirped out as she approached Midori with that irresistible doll-like smile. Hanabira was trying to give it her all, remembering the characteristics of Eri and Aya. "Mr. Teddy is really really hungry," Hanabira said, holding up her teddy bear and then bringing it up to cover her face. "I would love some candy! Rawr," she said, portraying her voice through the bear's as she made his little stuffed paw claw playfully at the woman standing all alone.

[Sweet! Once everyone is done with their one training exercise, Twlight to Tonato. We'll wait for everyone to exit before we move on.]

"Oooo~ Ouch,"
Aya winced as she watched the blow hit Kiba followed by him falling to the deck. She hoped that Kazuma wouldn't have anything cocky to say, but she knew it was probably coming. Kiba seemed like a boy that could keep his head cool, so she had a feeling that Kazuma's words wouldn't get to him too badly. "Good job picking yourself back up!" Aya tried to compliment Kiba, knowing that he was just a little frustrated as he cursed mildly while preparing himself for his oncoming attack on Kazuma.

+3 to Kiba.

A sort of calm anger flashed in the dark eyes of the young Raiken. His earlier yelling had gotten the impulsive frustration out of system and now he was going to return Kazuma's blow with interest. He was not so motivated by revenge as he was by the need to redeem himself. He felt incredibly embarrassed. He knew he was a better swordsman than this Kazuma fellow, he just had to prove it. He knew what he would do. In the blink of an eye Kiba was sprinting forward at an angle like fkeet-footed deer and then, hardly slowing down at all, he changed directions entirely ending up behind Kazuma. Immedietaly upon coming into the proper position behind his training partner he thrust the blunt point of the sheated tanto directly at the middle of Kazuma's lower back. Of course an equally executed block or unexpected wave might cause Kiba's strike to miss its mark, but the Raiken swordsman still felt good about his strike and the agility it demonstrated.

"NICE!" Aya couldn't help but cheer for Kiba and even jump out of her seat. She clapped her hands, proud of the boy. "That was amazing speed there, Kiba! Wonderful!" the girl said with a broad smile. "Those moves you putting on my clones are getting better too, Kazuma," Aya noted to the Kun Kumo as she kept the big smile on her face. "How about we take a break then? We should all probably review the mission in detail. You and Tanu should probably review any special customs the Kun Kumo might have with us," Aya told Kazuma as she began walking towards the narrow stairway that led into the the bottom deck of the ship. As she did, she spotted Kane by the railing of the boat. "Kane-kun! I'm going to go over the details of the mission with Kiba and Kazuma. C'mon down when you have a moment," Aya chirped over to the man before her soft blue head disappeared down below.

-Twilight-

Aya explains the details of the mission that Yuki compiled.

Scroll Reads: Expanding their hunt of the Shinobi, the Samurai have begun to stumble into the realm of Kun’Kumo. At first as the war began to break out, the Kun Kumo were easily defeating their adversaries with their fire techniques. However, due to a recent invention, the frost bomb, the Kun Kumo clan has been losing their ground. The Samurai Order is a very respectable one and do not wish to exterminate the entire clan, especially the women and children, but only eradicate those that practice the shinobi ways. The ‘¾’s Compromise’ Document will be signed on a night to give 75% of the Kun’Kumo land to the Samurai Order and for peace to reign between the two groups. If not, they may face total extermination. Make sure this deal does not occur. Find the weapon the Samurai Order is using and eradicate it.
Special Weapon Event: The weapon the Yakuza have come into are Tekidan Shimo (Frost Grenades). Freezing the bodies of foes into place, it especially has worked well on the Kun’Kumo because it destroys the sac in their lower back and causes the Kun Kumo's great pain. This makes them lose their clan's fire abilities and continues to kill them. This type of invention is a little too high-tech for Samurai to come up with and produce themselves...

After recieving her candy from Midori, Hanabira went to a secure corner and dropped the Henge no jutsu. She heard Aya call out to Kane about reviewing the mission and she was rather interested. Smiling at Kazuma and Kiba, Hanabira disappeared below deck. She would perhaps tell Kazuma about her little adventure today with tricking people...

~Twilight~

Hanabira had gotten so caught up in the details of the mission that she had not told Kazuma about her fun on the boat, but instead spent the night trying to brainstorm just how a "Frost Grenade" would operate. Her mind was boggled and she was eager to examine the device.

Kane handed Tanu the cup of water and without moving her head, the Kun Kumo brought the cup up to her lips. Slowly, she tiled the cup up and let the cool liquid go down her throat. If felt good at first, the cool water in her mouth and hitting the back of her throat. Tanu could feel the liquid go all the way down her chest and hit her stomach. This was not good. The extra feelings swishing around in her bodies made it even harder to try and not dry heave. With some liquid in her stomach now, someone actually came as Tanu hung her head over the side of the boat. The liquid had become burning hot since its cool descent only a second ago.

Tanu held close to the edge as she vomited the little bit of water she had just drank. "Uh..." she groaned in pain as her stomach muscles began to hurt from pushing and trying to heave up anything in her stomach. She curled up in a tight ball as she heard Aya called out to Kane. Huddling close to a crate, she hoped that the Tenmoki wouldn't be able to see her, along with the Raiken and her sad excuse for a cousin. If he saw her, then there'd be hell to pay.Tanu closed her eyes, trying to get herself under control and to relax her stomach.

"Sensei... You should just knock me out," Tanu said in a slurred and miserable tone. Her nose was burning, she had a terrible acidic taste in her mouth and her stomach was tying knots like no sailor could. The Kun Kumo opened her eyes and tried to look out over the seal, but seeing the horizon move in a swaying motion just made her feel worse. "Hnnnn," Tanu said as she closed her eyes yet again. "I think I'm gonna pass out," the girl stated, knowing that she hadn't had anything for dinner last night, breakfast this morning and with all these tight contractions to her stomach and strain, there was no doubt that she was going to pass out soon.

Tanu was getting frustrated with her body. If she started throwing a temper tantrum like usual, she might just knock herself out. Tanu took steady breaths in and out. They were deep breaths, because if she did that she might cut off needed oxygen to her body, which was close to passing out already. The girl brought her head up and set a hand on the top of her head. Her bright red hair was extremely damp from sitting at the side of the ship for so long. Her clothes and skin were damp as well and it was the first time she had noticed since sitting down. If she stayed her a few more minutes, it may look like she had just jumped right in.

Trying to get up, Tanu steadied her wobbly body. She was very weak to the point where her circulation was poor. From sitting in one position for so long, Tanu could feel several of her muscles fall asleep from the lack of circulation going to them. Never had it been this difficult to stand on her own two feet. Tanu felt rather pathetic having been brought down by a fisherman's boat. She was one of the toughest genin that Shimagkure had! Tanu would admit to herself that the Raiken was the only other one that could size up to her, but no one was even close. Putting her hands out on the bar to steady herself, Tanu felt the rustic paint on them for the first time. She should've tried to focus on other things while sitting at the side of the boat. While she had sat there worrying about throwing up, it had only made things worse. "Are we there yet?" Tanu asked sarcastically as she immediately felt her weakness take its toll. It was a feeling that hadn't struck the girl in a very long time. She was blacking out. "Crap..." Tanu breathed in a near silent whisper as her head went back and her body began to collapse to the side.

Tanu had been lucky to have Kane-sensei standing behind her and watching over her. If she had passed out without anyone to catch her when she fell, there'd be a dead Tanu floating in the sea. The waters that churned her stomach would have taken her soul as well. Tanu slept without a single eye flutter as Kane brought her below deck. There would be no mumbles from the heavy sleeper as she was dried off from the mist of the sea. Kane was a good sensei and didn't want the young genin to catch a cold, so he made sure to wrap her up with warm, dry blankets and check on her every once and awhile. Tanu wouldn't catch a cold thanks to Kane. And thanks to her new instructor, Tanu would sleep peacefully all the way to Tonato while everyone discussed the mission. She'd miss out on any of the information that Aya was sharing, but then again Tanu wouldn't really listen anyways. Hanabira, the know-it-all would fill her in with any questions she would have to ask.

-Twilight-

The young Raiken felt very confident in his progress with the praise the kind Aya had just given him. Floating on cloud nine he went down below deck behind Aya to get filled in on all of the details of their mission that he had, up to this point, been kept more or less in the dark about in terms of details and specific objectives. The condition of the fiery Kun Kumo clan came as only slightly less of a shock to Kiba as did the revelation of this "frost bomb" weapon. He still remembered well the army of samurai that his father had commanded. Not all of them were orthodox samurai, in fact a few of them were in ways more similar to ninja. There were even engineers who were with the army. His father recruited high quality men, but even their best engineers could not have dreamt of such a weapon as the frost bomb. They mainly focused on perfecting already invented siege weapons and such. No, to Kiba the Tekidan Shimo was not something a samurai engineer would come up with, but something a true inventor or complex weapons expert would come up with. He dismissed the thought as unimportant, however and moved on.

Kane stayed near Tanu as she tried to fight her urge to heave. A couple of times he ran to refill his bottle and get her more water and just generally take care of her. He also rubbed her back a little and tried to murmur soothing words, to try to take her mind off her body betraying her. He could tell that the Kun'Kumo was frustrated and feeling betrayed at her body for giving out on her like this. Normally she was a very tough genin after all, always willing to get into brawls and usually coming out top. And now she was succumbing to the most embarrassing of situations. When Tanu fell, Kane was there to quickly catch her. The path to her room didn't cross where Aya, Kiba and Kazuma were training, so they were unaware of Tanu's status. Of course, he didn't know about Hanabira...

After he brought Tanu to her room, Kane went up to receive the mission briefing from Aya. She told him what she could about the Kun'Kumos that he didn't already know, which was actually quite a lot, and for the rest of the time he thought about the mission and asked Aya questions about it. The idea of the 3/4 Compromise shocked Kane since he expected the rest of the Kun'Kumos to be as stubborn as Kazuma and Tanu and he was determined to stop it since it didn't sound fair at all! To Kane, it was obvious that the samurai were not behind the ice grenade, but for now they just had to focus on solving this situation first.
