"You weren't. You were as gentle as you could be. I'm fine." She gave a small laugh and rubbed the back of his neck reassuringly. It hurt and she wasn't used to it yet, but it was something that she wanted to get used to so she could be with him.

Syan had given him an odd look and blinked before she tried to make the sound. She failed at the shriek and if anything, it sounded as if a human girl was screaming, but she was able to do the coughing. After she failed, she just gave a long hiss and flicked her tongue out. "I don't think I can."
