"Unghh..wha.." Serena's head rolled off of her arm and gently knocked against the table. 'Ohh..why am I in the Library?...' She took in her surroundings and rubbed her sleepy eyes, trying to wake herself up. She must have been her all of last night. As she brought her arm up, she noticed that there was a soft blanket over her..and Tenko! 'That's right! I was here in the library and Tenko-san helped me gather some information about the monster up at the rice farm. But Sorri and Shinichi never came...' She folded the cover off of herself and got up, trying not to disturb the sleeping nurse. It would be best that she go find out what has been going on outside..they seemed to have fought a war or something without her. After writing a quick and short note to Tenko for thanks, she headed towards the door. It definitely looked a lot warmer than the day before..Serena took off a jacket and set it by the door-meaning to get it later- and entered the village..

[Enter from Training Grounds]
After reaching the library from the training grounds, Sukotto took a moment to rest in a chair and catch his breath. He hadn't really taken a break since his spar against Maya and Baki, and it was beginning to wear on him. On his way to the building, he had concluded that he would search the shelves for a Ninjutsu book that would assist him in teaching one of the students at the Training Grounds how to successfully begin her next stage of the Rope Escape technique training. Since he hadn't actually learned the jutsu himself, Sukotto needed some sort of reference to assist him in showing the girl what to do. He could have guessed at what it took to use one's chakra to loosen a bind that constricted one's movements, but he didn't have the heart to give the young shinobi of Shimagakure a helping hand that was completely capable of assisting her. If he had attempted to guess his way through the jutsu's training, there would be a chance that he would actually lead her away from the proper method, which would potentially create bad habits for her. This threatening string of negative events was more than enough to convince the genin to make a trip to the library.

Having decided exactly which book he would search the confines of the library for, Sukotto forced himself out of the hard wooden chair that had managed to feel comfortable due to his fatigue. It was when his legs began to shake a little that the Uchiha allowed a grin to pass over his face. He remembered how Senritsu had said that she was planning on making sure he didn't exert himself too much, but he ended up sneaking off and doing it anyway. Sukotto wondered what kind of relationship the female Uchiha and himself would form over a longer span of time; they already seemed as if they had known each other for years rather than barely over a day. Figuring that he would heed her word even though she wasn't around, the genin made himself walk slowly throughout the building and refrained from using his Sharingan to more easily locate the book that he was searching for. It was the kind of book that seemed to jump all over the library, as if either no one cared to give it a home, or it simply refused to take one and ran around the building on its own. Sukotto wasn't sure how popular the book was among the readers in Shimagakure, but he knew that he would certainly recommend it to all academy students, genin, and even chuunin who hadn't had the chance to explore its contents.

In his search for the book that would allow him to teach the Rope Escape jutsu, Sukotto took a few moments to grab random ones from the shelves. He had been too busy to read very much since he had returned from the Orochi mission, so he quickly skimmed a few paragraphs of some of his favorite books, allowing himself a bit of entertainment while he searched for the one he was looking for. The books that he had already read countless times still managed to teach him many new things. He would often find that rereading them would give him the chance to look at things from a different perspective and notice things that he may have previously overlooked, though the latter didn't happen very often due to the fact that he had read them many times. After examining a book that demonstrated proper running form, he slid it back into its place on the shelf and began to search for the ninjutsu training book once again. He began to think about how much he had ran to get himself up to speed for the taijutsu that he had created. To him, it seemed like it had been ages since that day that he decided to develop a fighting style that relied on speed instead of strength. A smile slide across his lips as an overwhelming feeling of joy flowed through his body as a result of the thought that he had finally taught himself his own fighting form.

While the library itself wasn't very large and didn't provide a vast selection of books, finding a random one among the masses was a difficult task. With this in mind, Sukotto allowed his thoughts to wander rampant, tracing over various things. One thing in particular was the fact that he had just recently completed a major step in one of his training goals, the creation of his own taijutsu. While he was happy with how well the taijutsu functioned, it still wasn't as powerful as it was in the dream that he had had that inspired the technique. In the dream, he saw himself literally sticking his feet to the Orochi that he was fighting, allowing himself to pull in the enemy shinobi for a powerful strike. His chakra acted like a sort of glue that held firmly to the opponent, just like it would have if he were employing the shinobi tactic of climbing a tree with only his feet. Even though this would be his next major goal, the Uchiha felt like it would be a good idea to keep examining the younger generation of shinobi to sharpen his abilities as a squad leader and to heighten his awareness for other things as well. For the time being, Sukotto was satisfied with helping out the youth with their training.

After a few more moments of thinking on the subject of his goals, Sukotto's mind shifted to thinking about his ability in battle. He had been able to effectively strike Baki by using taijutsu with little problem, and knew that his aim with ninjutsu techniques was even better, so he figured that his skill with physical attacks was about where it needed to be. However, he remembered seeing a few shinobi who had specifically trained themselves in a single skill. If he were to ever run across anyone who was able to dodge all of his attacks with ease, Sukotto would need an alternative method of defeating them. While he had once considered using stealth to his advantage in battle, the Uchiha figured that a shinobi who was able to easily dodge his regular attacks would have little trouble dodging his sneak attacks. In the end, he would need to focus on exploiting their weaknesses by finding various defenses that they neglected in the process of focusing so heavily on their skill to dodge. While walking to another section of the library, Sukotto began to contemplate the angle he could potentially attack to avoid allowing the enemy to rely on any one defense that they possessed.

At first, Sukotto imagined using some sort of weapon against an enemy, since a blade or blunt object would be capable of delivering much more force than his feet could. However, he soon realized that an opponent with an adept skill for dodging would have little trouble avoiding a weapon that the Uchiha brandished, making that idea pointless. He then thought about using some sort of method of intimidating the opponent into a weaker state of mind, making it so that they didn't concentrating on his attacks so much. This may have been a decent enough idea and would have allowed him to utilize his Sharingan to increase its effectiveness, but it would cause the Uchiha to waste a little time in the battle and prevent him from attacking as many times as he could have if he had merely tried direct offensive maneuvers. Considering this, Sukotto figured that he would need to think of a way to combat the enemy in such a way that he would still be using his time as effectively as he could while approaching from an angle that couldn't be avoided by simply dodging a strike. With this considered, he knew that he would need some sort of technique that would allow him to perform this feat.

After he finished looking in one of the sections and began making his way to another, Sukotto thought of another idea to take on an enemy from an alternative angle. While it had been something that he had constantly underestimated and overlooked, genjutsu would be just about the best way to surprise an enemy and assault defenses that were more difficult to raise. He immediately thought of the confrontation that he had experienced on Haha Island and remembered how a genjutsu had taken him down without him ever even laying eyes upon his opponent. In addition, Uchiha Ichi had made an effort to train him against the deadly form of jutsu. In this process, the former Kage truly showed how much one could make their opponent's mind bend to their will. Sukotto wondered if there was some sort of way that he could use genjutsu to use an enemy's power against themselves, just like his opponent had on Haha Island. He wasn't sure if the technique used against him had been some sort of kekkai genkai or not, but after truly finishing the learning of his taijutsu, he decided that he would look in to developing his skill with the sort of technique that focused on assaulting the mind rather than the body.

While the sole purpose of most taijutsu and ninjutsu was to directly damage the opponent, Sukotto remembered reading about how genjutsu could do many more things. It could completely paralyze an opponent by trapping them in their mind. In addition, it could potentially trick the enemy into thinking that they had a smaller area to move around in than there actually was, which would make their assault or defense much more predictable. The Uchiha wondered what sort of additional affects it could have upon opponents. In all likely hood, there was a way to sever the communication between teammates, which would make dividing enemy forces an easy task. He figured that if he or one of his squad members were able to do this to one or two of their opponents, then they could effectively take them on individually. Sukotto would like to make it so that it would be a single opponent of the enemy force against his entire squad. However, if he were able to simply split the enemy force in half, that would most certainly be effective enough. The Uchiha began to think of things that people relied on for communication, wondering what a genjutsu would need to attack to disable various forms of teamwork.

One of the things that people relied on far too often was their sense of sight. To be able to see what one's teammate was doing would allow one to react accordingly, even if a plan hadn't been formed. A genjutsu attacking this sense would be quite effective on bandits and low level ninja, but anyone who had been trained to use their other senses more effectively wouldn't be harmed by it too much, so Sukotto realized that he would need to think of some other sense to go after, since he wanted to prepare himself against opponents who were more powerful than common bandits. A sense that Maya and Baki would have relied on was their keen sense of smell. Though he wasn't sure of it in her case, Sukotto had read that many animal users and their partners would implement their sense of smell to detect the enemy and even use it to work together in various ways. This was slightly closer to his answer, since shinobi wouldn't quite expected their sense of smell to be attacked, but Sukotto felt that attacking this sense would only be effective against a small minority of shinobi, since most of them didn't use pets anyway. As he turned the corner into another isle of books, the genin began to consider the other senses.

Since the majority of shinobi weren't pet trainers, Sukotto realized that it would be more practical to go after a different sense instead. Since sight was too cliche to attack and most talented shinobi would be prepared against such an assault, Sukotto figured that it really left only one sense that he hadn't already examined: The sense of hearing. If a shinobi was unable to communicate by speaking or making sounds. Since they would still be able to utilize hand signals to communicate with one another, Sukotto figured that the method of taking out their hearing would need to be so intense that they wouldn't even be able to concentrate on anything of the sort. He thought that a kind of sound-driven genjutsu that made the target feel as though they heard a screeching sound would do the trick. As he finalized his plans for the future genjutsu, he began to wonder if the ninjutsu book would have any topics that would aid him in the creation or discovery of a genjutsu technique that would allow him to destroy his opponent's ability to use teamwork, as he had planned to do.

After having concluded that his ambitions would involve some sort of jutsu that targeted an opponent's hearing to disable their teamwork, Sukotto fully focused on finding the book that he had been in search of and soon accomplished that goal. With great satisfaction, he removed it from the shelf, casually flipped through a few pages to refresh his memory of the contents, and then checked it out of the library. In all likelihood, the girl who he had retrieved the book for had probably already found someone else to show her how to learn the rest of the Rope Escape Technique, since he had taken such a long time to retrieve the book due to the wandering of his thoughts. In any case, he would still find some use of the book, whether it be practice some ninjutsu of his own, teach himself the Rope Escape jutsu since he hadn't learned it, or simply brush up on his shinobi studies by reading through the content and refreshing himself even more than he already had. Sukotto knew that the girl would have blended herself in with the festival and figured that it would be pointless to try and find her, let alone attempt to teach her a jutsu from a book while there was excitement to be experienced elsewhere. Instead, he decided to check out the book and look through it at the residence that he was expected to live at. It wasn't quite his home anymore, but it would simply have to do.

Kolo walked into the library a little dejected. He had wanted to end his first day on a high note, but unfortunately he had failed to impress Tenmoki-Sensei with his amazing intellectual skills. He was looking for a book called Shinobi Basics. He decided that he would just look for the book himself rather than bother the librarian with a stupid question. He looked on the far side of the library, and looked at all of the books. It looked like it want' there. He wanted to make sure so he looked again, he was right. Shinobi Basics was not on the far wall.

Kolo looked at the wall directly beside the farr wall, on the left side. The first book he looked at was Shinobi Basics. Kolo got a little excited, but seeing as how he was still dejected, he didn't jump with excited. He found a table and read up on the basics. "Taijutsu, Genjutsu, and Ninjutsu. These are the three types of fighting styles that a Ninja should learn." That was what he meant when he said Tae Kwan Doe, Kung Fu, and Kenpo. He wanted to say Taijutsu Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu. His mind was getting itself in order as he read this book.

Kolo continued reading as his mind sifted through the information, matching up what he thought he knew and what he knew he knew. He was almost finished when he read something that they had started practicing in class. "There are 12 main hand seals that ninjas use either for genjutsu or ninjutsu. The seals are as follows, Ox, Boar, Ram, Horse, Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Serpent, Bird, Tiger, Dog. All of these seals have a different meaning, we willl cover these meanings in another chapter." Kolo read aloud to himself. Kolo had been practicing using the Ram seal, which is hat he needed for Henge no Jutsu, and Kai.
