Sam flinched slightly, then shook Neon's hand gingerly. The only supernatural being he was ok around was KC, and that was only because they'd known each other for so long. KC giggled lightly to herself at Sam's uncomfortableness and leaned on his shoulder. "Sorry, he's a little awkward around people."

"That's fine," Neon said, removing his hand, seeing that he was making Sam uncomfortable. He slid both into his pockets. "How are things, though I haven't known you long."

"Good, I suppose. Unfortunatly, I can't seem to find a job that fits my talents. And we could use the extra money, too." Sam and KC looked at each other a moment, then gave a collective sigh of misfortune.

Mark beamed proudly at the complement. "Thank you," he said to Pace, "Now how about $10 for the painting." He smiled devilishly as he covered any paints so that they wouldn't dry out. Damn, he was out of red and black he thought. He'd have to rush out and get some. He smiled. "Or, if you watch my stuff, I need to go get something, then its free. Oh and you'll get that figurine I'm working on." He smiled in a sort of spacey way.

"Sure," Pace replied, not looking up from the painting. He used his control over fire to heat the temperature of the paint, almost instantly drying the paint, and it was unnoticeable. He set the painting back on the easel, leaning against the wall next to the artist's small area, crossing his arms.
--
Neon was about to reply when he saw Pace. He sighed, holding up a hand. "I'll be back in just a moment," he said, and shuffled around KC and Sam, walking over to Pace. He set a hand on the demon's shoulder as he was in the painting, not saying anything but the two also gave the impression that they were conversing.

Mark took his pack and left Pace and Neon alone. He walked down the road and took a turn at the corner. He went down an alley, then down another, and another. He passed a hobo who was sleeping. He stopped when he was sure no one was around. He looked around, making sure no one was near. He took out his sketch pad, that was completely blank, yet oddly roughed up. He drew some new paint containers he needed. He closed his eyes and visualized. The pencil faded away on the paper, and on the ground stood two containers he drew. He smiled, and as an afterthought, drew some money, and two hot dogs, one with ketchup. The pencil here faded and there on the ground were the hot dogs on a napkin. He put the paint in his pack and gave the money and the hot dog to the sleeping hobo. He then walked back to his stuff, eating his hot dog. He put down his pack and said, "Thanks, my name is Mark, by the way, angel and demon." He seemed to space out again.

First an angel and a demon then a human and a demon. I have to say this is turning into some day. Leo looked up at KC and Sam. "Excuse me would you by any chance know where I can find a hospital around here? I believe I remember being here before and I think I might find an old friend there."

Mark looked and saw three others that seemed to be with the two now admiring his handiwork. He came over to the two guys and the girl. "Would anyone of you like a portrait??"

KC and Sam both shook their heads. "No, that's alright." They looked at each other and seemed to speak to one another without actually speaking. They sighed collectively again. KC gave a weak smile to the newcomer and shrugged. "Sorry."

"Are you sure? I just painted your friend," said Mark, gesturing to Pace. "He seems very happy." He smiled nervously, hopeful that someone would give their time to paint. He didn't even need the money, he just needed to paint. It was annoying when he was painting someone in the park and they would just walk away. "What'da ya say?"

"Well, we would, but... We really wouldn't be able to pay you with anything..." KC really hated letting people down, but Sam hated seeing her down even more. He patted her gently on the back as a comforting gesture.

Mark sighed. It was nice to get money, because it showed his creations had market value. "Hows about I paint you guys for free. I enjoy it anyway, and I haven't gotten good business recently. Come, one of you come sit down. It's practically painless."

KC smiled and was about to open her mouth when Sam said, "Alright, why not? I'll do it." "Uh, would you be able to do both of us? Like, together?"

Mark smiled happily. He was only truly happy when he could create his artwork. "You can try to both fit on the stool, or one can stand. The stools can support two. Or I can give you my stool. Either way..." said Mark sitting down. "Hey could you too guys move?" said Mark addressing Neon & Pace. He got his paints ready and sat down. He spaced out for a minute. He then returned to his body's current location in time and space. "Well then, shall we start?" he said absentmindedly, as if he was in a trance.

Sam sat on the stool while KC stood behind him. She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck and leaned her chin on his head. He blushed slightly, but hid it quickly. "Sure," they said together.
