Little brook whimpered lightly, suddenly finding herself completely alone. Sure, she'd probably turn back into her hyper self again once she got to know the boys, but they were all so, enthusiastic.

Then again, maybe she was just being too negative.

"So, uhm, how old are you guys?"

Nightblaze looked over at Bright Beam. "M-me?" He blushed and looked down. "I'm sure th-that they will be." He shook his head, getting rid of his blush. "Well, uhm, thank you." He smiled. Nighblaze wasn't shy, but the comment had caught him completely off guard. "You know my name already, so... what's yours?" He sat down next to Bright Beam.

((Ooc: I really hope you were talking to Nighblaze. I'm pretty sure you were, because he's the only Night Blaze...if not, I don't mind changing my post c: ))

((Just to let you all know I have a busy weekend coming up, but I will try my hardest to get on the computer at least once! If I can't, then don't worry I haven't left you all. Have fun mingling with each other until then ^^))

Fire Dancer slowly walked up behind Darkside and Charfoot.

"That would be wise, young Darkside," he droned in his monotone voice. He almost contemplated sitting back on his haunches, then dismissed the idea, deciding that it would be too hard to get up afterwards.

"What are you up too?" he asked, sighing not from exasperation, but from lack of breath. At his high age, it was an effort to even walk.

"Keep up, pup," a pure black wolf called behind him to a pup behind him who was playing with the flowers, trying to catch a grasshopper. A wolf blue grey in colour who trotted beside the male revoked him, saying,

Let him be, Clotho. He's only having fun. You and I both know that you would do anything to join him!"

Clotho hung his head, defeated. Then, the pup picked up his pace to join his parents.

"Mamma, Dad, when can we rest?" he asked in a whiney tone. Clotho glanced at his mate who gave a small smile, then turned her attention back to her pup.

Be patient, Dew. We will rest when we can, okay?" she told him, suddenly stopping to sniff the air.

"What do you smell, Chanteuse?" Clotho asked, confused. The female turned to him, exasperated.

"Can't you smell it? Other wolves! And a lot of them. We must be close to a pack. Ah, yes, these are their boundaries," Chanteuse explained, sniffing at the ground. Clotho smelled around them and nodded.

"Now I see. Shall we?" he asked. Chanteuse took up the honours first.

She started her characteristic howl, a long melodic melody. It rose and fell with every gust of wind, and when the wind was silent, she held a single pitch, wavering. Sometimes her howl moved chromatically, sometimes it moved by several tones at once. Here, she paused for a few seconds on a low note, then jumped up to a shrill soprano voice. There, she slid from a higher note down all the way two octaves. In every essence, it was like a song that she had composed herself, and hardly a simple howl.

Clotho added his voice to hers, his howl more gruff and low. He didn't move as much as Chanteuse did, but every single not made a beautiful harmony with his mate. At the end of the howl, he followed her in a descending pattern, then jumped to a final, long, held note in a harmony of thirds.

Dew attempted to enter the howl, but his voice was not yet big enough, so he simply sat on his haunches and listened in awe. It was clear that Chanteuse lived up to her name, a singer. She was clearly the leader when it came to their howls. Clotho followed his mate lovingly, and when the two finished, they exchanged quick glances.

"Now we wait..." Chanteuse stated nonchalantly

((Very well done Sierra Lilly ^.^ For sure one of my favorite descriptions for the howl. To everyone else, each and every description was fantastic, and I'm sure that for some of you it was your first time. ^___^

And Sierra, if you wouldn't mind waiting a few moments for one of my two wolves to be free to greet you that would be great))

Moonfire turned to see another female, apparently the second one that had howled after she left. "Well met Breezy. Well if you are Mist's sister then I can think of no reason to say no." She responded with a smile, sitting down so that she could talk to the other wolf as well.

Dusk smiled at Tinystream as he easily starting talking with the older wolf. "Hello Tinystream, my name is Dusk. You were? That sounds exciting."

((I'm confused a little about order of the howls; I hope I didn't mess much with it.))

Night Haze had prepared for waiting, but she didn't expect that everything would happened so suddenly. Another howl sounded soon after her own. She started, almost losing all her composure. Dissatisfied with her jumpiness, Night Haze willed herself to became calm again and continued to watch over surroundings.

She wasn't caught off her guard by approaching wolf and had time to stand properly, as she was taught by her parents: with straight back, calm tail and bowed head. She kept her ears arrect though, still cautious.

"Hello." Night Haze bowed back to the wolf, keeping her voice even and polite. She wasn't sure of this wolf's status so she tried to behave as neutral as possible. "My name is Night Haze and I'm, so to say, a traveller. May I stay here for a while?"

She wanted to add some other details about her journey but her introduction was interrupted by yet another howl. Double howl, actually. Night Haze could help but felt that dismay had seized her and her hackles had risen; she stood motionless, waiting for what would happened next.

Fire Dancer turned his head slowly to look at where he had heard LittleBrook's voice, and managed a small smile.

"No, little one. I was once your age. I was a fairly playful pup myself, you see?" he explained, sniffing. Then, he blinked.

"I don't know your scent. Are you new, little one?" he asked, slowly letting himself fall back onto his haunches, deciding that it was taking too much effort to stand on his feet.

"Dusk, could we go find my Mother? I have been waiting for her for very long." Tinystream replied, staring at the big wolf.

"May I know your name?" asking the female wolf. "And I would like to look for my pup before meeting Mist and maybe the rest of the pack."
