Naomi had spent most of the time today in her new room, finishing putting stuff away and taking the time to have some time to herself. She was currently wearing her headphones, her mp3 playing Eva by Nightwish as she laid on the bed, staring glazy-eyed at the ceiling. Her long brown hair was out of ponytail and laying across the pillows on the made bed, and she held a small teddy bear in her arms as she stared for awhile at the ceiling, letting the music calm her soul. After all, a lot was on her mind.

First, her mother remarried. Not bad, not bad, Mom was happy; until you factor in that there were five boys. Not one, not two, not even three: five! What a nightmare; and of course, she had felt the pang of guilt and for awhile had been in a emo-like mode. And the place she called home she couldn’t go back to, for it was sold; she was now in unfamiliar territory, and she wasn’t good with change. But she was controlling herself now, for now. She was very thankful to the Lord that she had her own room, for she liked at least one spot where she was alone and let her mind think; she wasn‘t great with strangers and normally got shy around them. She hoped she wasn‘t worrying her sisters. She recently put up some artwork of her own, and some posters on the walls. The posters had various musicians from different genres of music, video game characters, and her artwork was mainly fantasy, various colors and elements in her work. Her room was now nice and organized; that wouldn’t last long, but she’d enjoy it. At least her room was nice and cozy, yet had plenty of room to pace about and work on artwork. As for her secret doll/stuffed animal collection, well………..she was hiding it in the suitcase in the closet, for now. She wanted to see what the household was like first before letting out the sensitive part of her hobbies out in the open. She had the suitcase padlocked and covered in stuff on the closet floor, so it remained hidden for now.

Finally relaxed and more in control of her emotions, she got up made herself presentable again……well, somewhat presentable. The big dinner (or whatever they were doing for formal introductions) wasn‘t until later. Her hair back in a ponytail, she examined herself in the mirror. She straightened her dark blue T-shirt with a picture of a drawn turtle smiling in the center, and her jeans were actually fitting, and only had one hole in the upper part of her left leg. She also wore a mini-black skirt above the jeans (she would NEVER EVER wear it alone; too revealing), and was right now wearing just white socks. Satisfied, she took her mp3 and put the headphones back on her head, and switched to a happier song as she exited the room for the first time in quite a few hours.

She began to explore the halls, making mental routes as to what landmarks stood for where in the house. If she had anything, it was a good memory. She temporarily ignored the shouts of anger between when both a stepbrother and sister collided (they were loud enough to blast through her music), and explored the vast house with a upbeat song playing in her ears. This place was…….like a majestic castle. Beautiful paintings were on some of the walls, some brilliant in color, others more reserved like herself. She hummed to herself quietly as she walked about, in case one of the boys were nearby and she was bugging them. She even explored the West Wing, but was so quiet that she went unnoticed (if anyone was even there), and explored there as well. Overall, she had yet to meet any of these boys that she’d be living with for the next….well, long while.

After her exploration of nearly the whole house, she heard her stomach rumble. Heh, they had all skipped breakfast to move in this morning, so she had had nothing to eat all day. She decided to go down to the kitchen to maybe grab a Rice Crispy Treat or something, or an apple or something for more healthy tastes What she didn’t expect (and the shocked face came on her face, showing that it that took her off guard) was that it was filled with servants……….wait wait wait, SERVANTS?! Wow, did she have a lot to get used to around here; this was so weird, like you‘d see out of a movie or something……

She glanced near the side and was surprised to see Cecelia and Madeline in the room, next to what had to be one of the elder stepbrothers. She gulped and approached nervously; she hadn’t even figured out what to say to any of the boys! She took note that Madeline looked like she was upset over something; did this boy do something to her, or was she merely homesick? It was a tough call to make, but for now she’d play it neutral til she had some proof of something. She walked up to them, greeting her two sisters first out of familiarity.

“Hey you two! Did you explore the whole house already; you’re too fast! The place seems pretty cool. I especially like the paintings; so many different artists and subjects.” she then turned to the boy, sort of half forgetting that he had been there when she had spoken; how embarrassing! Her voice almost seemed like it didn't want to work, her throat seemingly closing for a split second before she forced it back to normal and trying to figure out what to say. They were now family, after all. “H-hello there. What’s you’re name?” as elementary as the question sounded, it was all she could muster. Her siblings knew that she got nervous, so hopefully it wouldn’t be too awkward.

"Slow down, Naomi." Cecelia warned, knowing her younger sister was getting nervous. She cleared her throat, feeling the need to do something devilish, so she excused herself. "Well, you three kids have fun, now." She said, leaving the kitchen as gracefully as she had entered. Once outside, she peered down both ends of the hallway, and smirked. Time to do some damage when no one was around. Now, the more sneekier way was to sneek into the west wing, and mess something up that was important to the boys. But what? Cecelia thought as she made her way to the West Wing. Once there, she started walking around, hardly making any noise at all.

Madeline laughed. "No, I haven't! I've only been to the West Wing!" She got up, and hugged her sister. "This is Alyekzander, he's the second eldest child... and that's all I've been able to dig up so far." She grinned. "At least, with internet help."

Naomi felt kind of bad when Cecelia was actually warning her to can it. Or was it to stop making her nervous? Either way, it figures; they didn't ALWAYS get along, and tensions were probably running very high at the moment between everyone. Sort of like sticking a bunch of tigers in the same large cage; it was only asking for mayhem. As she saw her sneak off, Naomi knew that that couldn't be good. If there's anything she knew about Cecelia after knowing her her whole life, it was that she loved pranks and loved to pull them. She just hoped that Cecelia wouldnt' do something utterly stupid and tick off the guy-half of the family; they wouldn't be able to live in peace otherwise.

Madeline seemed to lighten the situation with a laugh and a hug; Naomi also returned the hug. Madeline; ah, the hyper happy one. Usually a good one to talk to (they were all good to talk to, of course!), but Naomi merely got along with her better. Upon this inquiry of where she had been, Naomi raised her eyebrow playfully. "Ah, so you actually ventured down there, eh? Same here. I take it with those wooden floors, you got some skidding pratice?" she grinned.

Naomi listened carefully as she heard Madeline introduce this boy; Alyekzander. Such a tounge twister! So, this was the second-eldest child of the male part of the family.....interesting. He seemed to have a neutral expression at the moment, so it was hard to guess his character til she spoked to him. "Well, it's very nice to meet you, Alyekzander." she grinned, holding out her petite hand for him to shake. Hey, just being polite, that's all; she had yet to see what these guys were actually like.

"Yep! Isn't that right Alyek?" Madeline grinned evilly at Alyekzander, then went back to her mac'n'cheese. "He's the only one I've met so far..." She grinned. "I wonder what the rest are like." She had a mischevious glint in her eye. She looked up at the clock in the kitchen. "Eeps!" She stood up suddenly. "That late? I have to work on my essay!" She quickly picked up the bowl, balancing it perfectly on her long slim fingers, and smiled at the two. "See you guys later!" She smiled warmly at Alyekzander. "Thanks." She whispered, then she was off to her room.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 08, 2008 4:43 pm

Naomi stiffled a giggle as she watched her sister eat the mac n cheese; so Madeline already had a nickname for this guy? Heh, he must be at least somewhat alright then. Perhaps there was hope after all. "I dunno know; we'll find out soon enough though!" she responded, giving up on the handshake (after all, he would've taken it by now, and she was impatient) and fixing her hair by refixing the ponytail a bit. If even just one of the guys was actually nice, then it might not be so bad.....

She hid her worries as she watched her sister panic about her essay (heaven knows she spent the time vloging instead of doing her work). Naomi needed to catch up on her vloging, but she had to wait for a call saying that her computer was back in the store. Why? Cause something in the system broke and her computer wouldn't even turn on. So, with that extra time, she did her schoolwork BEFORE the move, as opposed to waiting for afterwards. She waved as she saw her sister leave.

So now it was just the two of them, she and this Alyekzander. Naomi couldn't remember at this point why she even came down in the first place; her mind got distracted. She was somewhat nervous; if she said something wrong or accidently offended him, it'd be hell on earth in this house. She'd have to be very careful, as if she were a solider in a far away land, with no map and the area full of land mines. She took the end of her ponytail and began twirling it a bit; while she was no prissy person, the habit was a bit misleading, probably. But not the rest of her. She was struggling for a good topic, one that wouldn't be the cause for gunshots or something. She wanted to ask 'how are you?', but chances are he was still angry about hte move, so that'd be bad. "So....um, what kind of stuff do you like? Guess if we're living together, I should get to know more about you." she said honestly, giving a small shrug.

Alyekzander found himself quite literally stunned by the sudden flurry of female activity. They were multiplying, it seemed. And my, but the youngest was a chatty little thing. Wait, what was it Madeline was saying? Internet help? What the devil did the internet have to do with him? He barely registered that Naomi had offered her hand before she had withdrawn it again and the other two had miraculously disappeared. Into thin air, as far as Alyekzander could tell.

And only then had he realized he had acquired a nickname. "Feed a girl and your name suddenly loses half its length." He mused aloud, shook his head, then looked to Naomi. What kind of stuff did he like? Was this some sort of survey? He sorely wanted to avoid the question and seek some quiet after the short, three pronged bombardment against his sanity. "That is a very broad topic, Naomi."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 10, 2008 6:01 pm

"Oh! S-sorry....." It didn't occur to Naomi until now that Alyekzander had just been.....attacked, almost, by three fifths of the daughters of his new mother, all at once, while she was so far only dealing with one at a time. He probably felt a tad overwhelmed. She heard him mumur something about his name loosing half it's lenght after feeding a lady, and she forced the giggle to stay in her throat. Poor guy, but at least they still HAD their home, after all. She looked out the window at the cold-looking day outside; where had everyone gone? It was if as they were no more than fire sparks; there in full bright firely light one minute, the next gone. Mabye she had been worrying too much about having some time alone.

Naomi tried to salvage the question; it could've gone worse, after all. "Well, we could shorten the categories if you'd like; Hm........" She stroked her chin thoughtfully for a moment, before it hit her; duh! She turned back to him. "How about with just music, then. Any genere or particular bands you like?"

Cecelia kept smirking to herself thinking of all the nasty things she could do, passing the rooms in the west wing. Burn some library books? Wreck their instruments? Hmm.. She thought to herself, walking around in her baggy black pants that had a chain hanging from them, and her red tank top. Cecelia had all sorts of bangles on, and had her hair in a tight, high pony. She, personally, loved the outfit, but her mom thought it was too much. She sighed and decided to go for a run, and made her way outside. She saw one of her new brothers up ahead, the one who had made a quick appearance in the kitchen, and she was right behind him. Before she knew what she was doing, she started running towards him, and shoved him out of the way annoyingly, and started for a run down the sidewalk. Before going out of his sight, though, Cecelia gave him the opposite version of the peace sign, which meant the exact same thing the middle finger meant. Of course, he couldn't prove she did anything, so Cecelia just kept running.

Madeline went around, listening to music. Damn, it was boring here! She went back to the west wing, and began to skid around. Her headphones nearly fell off, but she held onto them with one hand. She hummed along, and skidded through the wonderful hallways.

Max stumbled as something bumped into him and swore, but managed to regain his balance. He looked up just in time to be given an extremely rude hand gesture; before he could reciprocate, the young woman ran away. Wasn't that the oldest girl? She certainly didn't act it. Still glowering, Max opened the door of his French sports car, slid inside, and started up the engine. It didn't matter anyway, he assured himself as he roared out of the driveway. He was going to Helena's house, and he didn't have to be back for the rest of the day if he didn't want to be. He certainly planned on skipping the stupid dinner.

Alyekzander had thought Naomi might be turned away by the lack of a real answer. He was quite mistaken. And worse, he did not really have an answer. "I cannot say I have heard much that I dislike. But my tastes are fleeting at best; perhaps it would be a more interesting conversation if you spoke of yourself instead." He took a step toward the door, intending to leave the kitchen, then paused. "Were you hungry? You should not feel obligated to speak to me if it was your intent to eat something." It quite puzzled Alyekzander that she had spoken to him at all. Perhaps because he was speaking to Madeline? Good God, had he marked himself as the 'approachable' one? Well, with his brothers not about except for Maxim who had only appeared to disappear... God damnit, he was the approachable one! How the devil had that happened?

Naomi realized at this point that he really didn't wanna answer and was trying to shove her away by trying to escape himself. What a shame, and now she looked like the idiot. And outgoing..........which was strange and totally not the normal her. Then again, boys were VERY stubborn and confusing, therefore confusing her. He was speaking to Madeline just fine earlier; did Naomi rub him the wrong way somehow? Or was she too young to be recognized well by this guy? Oh well, she got his message at this point. She secretly realized that the main reason she had come down was to grab a bite to eat (oh yeah, kitchen=food), and had to at least thank him for that.

"Perhaps another time." she answered simply, as she turned to go towards the kitchen. Suddenly, a strange Japanese tune began to fill the room. It took about three seconds to realize that it was her cell. She was supposed to change that tune before she got here; oops. Who the heck was calling her at THIS time?! However, after looking at the caller ID, she grinned, and picked it up, heading to a window where there weren‘t a lot of people. "Hello? Oh hey! Uh huh........really? That's wonderful! I’ll stop by to pick it up as soon as I can, then. Thank you!” then she closed her cell and put it back in her pocket. She restrained herself from jumping for joy and instead decided to go ahead and get ready to go.

It had been the electronics store owner on the phone, with good news. Hooray; her computer was fixed and back in the store now! There was a part in it that had gone dead in it last month, and in result her computer wouldn’t even turn on, let alone get on the internet or go to her web cam. It had to be shipped out and fixed (getting it fixed was already paid for; she was perfectly fine with paying the 50 bucks herself, but her mother refused her daughter’s offer and paid the fee), and now it was back, waiting to be picked up. At last, she could get back to her webcam and vloging; she had so much to say.

She quickly headed towards the upstairs, dashing past Alyekzander, and found her red jacket and dark blue purse in her room; it wasn’t hard because it was actually organized. As she put on her jacket and checked to see that she had everything she needed, she headed out of her room and into the hall, doing a small dance with shouts of joy momentarily before heading towards the stairs. As she went, she passed Madeline (who was NOT working on her essay, as usual. Procrastinator much?). “Oh hey! My computer is finally fixed, so I’m heading down to pick it up right quick; I“ll leave a note on the fridge, but if mom asks, tell her that‘s where I am, ok? Thanks!” she said, before heading down the stairs. She stopped real quick and left a note on the fridge (this was their rule; if they were heading somewhere, they left a note on the usually frequently checked fridge) and out the door (she‘d get some food later, when she got back; she wasn‘t that hungry, actually.)

Now, she couldn‘t drive, so what could possibly transport her the 10 minutes it took to get there w/o walking? She went to the new garage and searched for a moment, til she found her deep red bike and pulled it out. It actually once belonged to one of her sisters, but whoever it was had outgrown it, so it was now hers. At least it was actually getting some use now; this was her main way of transportation. Since the roads weren‘t icy (it was only just cold out), it was fine, and it‘d only take maybe 7 minutes to get to the store. She hopped on, put the purse in the small cart on the front, and peddled out of the driveway and down the sidewalk.

"Yeeeeeppp!" Madeline waved, and started a new skid. She always did this, procrastinated until the last minute, and then pulled out a A- or B level essay. If it was something she was interested in she could do it earlier, but there were too many fun things to do... like vlog and annoy her new brothers.

Naomi continued down the road, peddling, wandering around the neighborhood of very expensive and tall houses, that seemed to tower over her like giants. She pinned the new map onto the cart, looking down at it now and then to make sure she was in the right area. The neighborhood had been the hardest; many houses looked the exact same, messing her up completely! It seemed as if mabye 85% of them had the same off white door, same style and color fence, same little bush growing ing the corner of every single house.....

She sighed with relief as she and the red bike went back to a very familiar road; it was one of those main roads that was traveled down very very often, and had alot of stores and restruants. Most were driving by in cars, but there were some others walking along the side of the road, bundled in jackets much like she was. Looking about on the bike lazily for a moment, sitting straight up and letting her left arm lossen up and hang like dead weight for a moment with her foot on the ground, looked around at her surroundings.

"Let's see.......here I am on Cherry Road. If I take a left here, then go down til I reach Doggone Good restruant, then take a right and travel for two stoplights. THEN, I make it to Gadets R Us. That sounds right." she murmured to herself, forming her own map in the air in front of her with her pointer finger. Grinning, she took this path and rode skillfully down the road, restraining herself from "popping a wheelie". At least, she hoped that was the right term.

Mabye 8 minutes later, she was in the parking lot, the wind nipping at her legs as it picked up for a mere moment. Pulling a lock out of her pocket and securing her bike on the bike rack, she then entered the store, feeling a blast of warm air hit her like a bullet.

She looked about; it was much like the size of two conveince stores meshed together, but didn't hold back on the quality of their items. There were many that were browsing about, looking here and there at some videogame, computer accessory, one middle-aged man looking for a TV. Naomi wondered up to a area in the back that was separated by only a large desk, where she saw a familiar face sorting through some papers of some sort.

The man sitting there was a bit chubby and somewhat short, his glasses sittng on a head that was filled with deep dark brown hair (that was slowly falling out; a bald spot was already forming atop his head). He had a small moustache, and his personality was a bubbly as ever. This was Mr. Wourkingstein (pronounced WAR-KIN-STEEN); the big man behind the store.

He must have felt a presence nearby, for he looked up from his work and stared about until his eyes rested on the girl in front of him. His mouth then formed into a wide grin; they were very good friends. "Ah! Ms. Beauvais! Welcome back!" he grinned, and let her to outside his office. She waited outside while he rummaged through recent boxes, blabbering as he did. "Let's see; your computer just came back a few hours ago. Terrible luck you had with it crashing like that; it's very rare that the Metrocard system crashes, it was surprizing that it even worked when you turned it on for the first time. Turns out that they had some issues, they being the company, getting it to fix correctly; it took alot longer than planned-"

"Oh, that's quite alright, sir. I've been busy enough as it is the past month."
"Ah, that's right! You moved in with the Gerásimov family today! How is that coming along?" he asked, as there were more shuffle sounds from in the room.
"Alright, I suppose. Haven't really met many of them yet, so I can't say for sure. I'm nervous about it though. What if it doesn't work out?"
"Ah, I'm sure you'll be just fine. Once you get to meet them and warm up-Here it is!" he grinned in trimuph as he came out, holding her black-colored laptop. "I tried it out this morning, just to make sure it works, like I do with all computers that come in; it works just fine now! I believe this is yours." he said, handing it to her.

After some more small talk and many thank-yous, Naomi returned to her bike and unlocked the lock. Sticking it in her pocket and putting her laptop (now in a safety box; Mr. Wourkingstein knew she rode via bike if not with her mom) in the cart, she headed off for............the new house. She refused to call it home. She didn't know why; but still, no.

In 11 minutes, she was back at house. Putting her bike away, she carried her box carefully as she headed up towards the house. She was happy, actually; she had so much she could vlog about now, so she needed to start bright and early. Plus, there were some game sites she hadn't been to in awhile. She hummed to herself as she reached the steps.

((Just out of curiousity, whose playing as the parents?))
